Thank you!! A lot of people don’t know this but I was actually a cod TH-camr for like 4 years, only a little over a year ago starting doing nba, bo1 was a masterpiece 🙏🏻
Shoutouts to my Orlando Magic, the bench they have is one of my favorite parts of the whole team, and the new additions they made to it are looking promising.
i understand the knicks at 11 rank fully and i’d have them around there if i wasn’t watching them every game. however, this bench unit plays fast, deuce is a great two way player, cam has looked great running the o and shooting and with his floater, kolek looks like an elite passer and good shooter, shamet being hurt def hurts us tho his shootings valuable. dadiet has potential but likely will barely play with thibs not liking to play rookies, warren might make the roster with shamet hurt he looks like he could be an alec burks typa player. mccular hasn’t played yet so idk, toppins ass. precious is gonna run the backup 4 prolly and looks like he could be very good in that role and his shootings encouraging early on, very versatile and a winning player. forwards def weak but not as bad as it seems, guard depth is great imo, center depth is really good with mitch, one of the best oreb and rim protectors in the league. precious can also play the 5 but i think thibs wants him at the 4. hukporti looks good so far looks like a grown man. you forgot sims lol he hasn’t been good so far but has all the physical tools needed and is a good perimeter defender not a bad emergency option. overall, this unit plays extremely fast and generates a lot of open looks and has a solid amount of depth in every spot even tho some are a bit weak. i understand the ranking im not mad at it i think we should be a couple spots higher tho. there’s a lot more teams with a lot more question marks like i’d def put us above the nets a few others prolly. your very objective tho love your content man keep it up!
I appreciate the feedback and i appreciate you taking so much time to explain all this! W info, these are the kinda comments i learn from. I actually think if the Knicks just had like 1 solid backup 3&D wing, nothing crazy just a reliable league average shooter and solid defender I’d have them MUCH higher on this list! I think around the deadline that might be the kinda player they could be looking for. Thanks again 🙏🏻
@@DeHave no problem man! i just love to talk sports and there’s just something so special about bball that makes it incredible. i think deuce is gonna fill that 3 and D wing role like you said we need. like 40% from three last year and if you watch the tape he’s a VERY good defender especially on ball. He’s a combo 1-2 guard but i think things views him more as a off ball wing with cam running the o and maybe eventually kolek forces his way into the rotation. i really hope so i LOVE his game. remember this: he will be a star one day (prolly not on the knicks but he will be very good). i get it tho i still think we’re missing another piece like that fs. i just think there’s so many teams with more question marks and we have some of the better guard and center depth in the league. thibs makes everyone a better defender too and raises their ceiling, it’s why most players have career years under him. mikal, hart, and og will have minutes staggered with the bench unit too so im not too worried. one more solid forward or one guy stepping up would make a huge difference. prolly an unpopular opinion but i think we’ll be at least a slightly above average bench unit rn and if we get another piece a very good one. we don’t have a ton of assets to make a deal but leon rose is insane so you never know lmao. I just think we only have like one huge question mark and i don’t think it’s as big of a deal as it’s made out to be. i understand the concerns tho and if i wasn’t watching i would think the same. we’re def still missing a piece. tap in to the next knicks pre szn game if you can before we play the C’s on opening night. a lot of what you see sounds surprising. and one thing i forgot to mention. last game we played the hornets: arguably a play in team. they played all their starters. we benched all ours they didn’t play a single minute. we still beat them with just our bench. it’s just preszn and i might be jumping the gun, but i have a lot of optimism and i think they were going to be very good this year and at least make it to the eastern conference finals. thanks for the response your one of the nicer and more interactive creators i’ve seen. and thanks for listening to my tedtalk lmao. ✌️
I’m glad as a Sixers fan and you being a Knicks fan we can respect each other and not be toxic! I’ve talked to so many great Knicks fans like you in the comments and it’s a beautiful thing! I love to be friendly with rival fanbases, Celtics fans and Knicks fans have been so awesome and like you said, there’s something about basketball, whether it’s talking hoops or engaging with others who enjoy the game it’s just the best thing ever. As far as the Knicks I can tell you I’m terrified of your team, not enough people realize how great you could be this year, I think you’re right about the conference finals, I have the Knicks as the 2nd best team in the east. I’d be very nervous with both our teams healthy to play you in the playoffs this season but I will say, if my team goes into the playoffs healthy, i can’t complain with any result because I’ve just never seen a healthy Sixers team with this good of a chance to get past the 2nd round. 2019 was close but I still think this team is better. The only thing is, so is the eastern conference, including your Knicks! Good luck this season, Paul George and Jarad McCain are already hurt and Embiid is on massive restrictions this year so you already have great head start 😂🙏🏻
@@DeHave facts man I love that we as fans can be cordial even rooting for a different team everyone should try to objective and just talk ball it’s great lmao. every fanbase has its good and bad people and your def one of the good sixers fans got a lotta respect for you. im scared of the sixers too, i do think we have the better team but if maxey takes a leap, embiid stays healthy, and pg gets going and stays healthy that’s extremely scary. i think the depth is questionable but that big 3 is almost as good as it gets. HUGE ifs but they could be legitimately unguardable if it all works out. embiids my most hated player in the whole league after last series ngl but he’s a hell of a player lol can’t deny that. either way it’s gonna be one of the best series i’ve ever seen with all that animosity if we end up matchup in the playoffs again. im a huge mccain guy i wanted him bad he’s gonna be special. it’s gonna be a battle with a lot of great basketball. lottaaaaa people sleeping but i guess the same can be said for other guys like some of the sixers depth players cause im not nearly as tapped in to them. i truly do believe we’re gonna be even better than people think and it’s all gonna come together perfectly. i could ramble on with stats and stuff that’s too long so i’ll just say this: jalen brunson with five out spacing is an mvp candidate, elite defense with og and mikal, elite shooting, depth that will be better than people think imo, and a coach that can maximize every player into career years. either way i CANT WAIT for opening night it’s gonna be a movie. good luck this szn and may the best team (knicks) win the chip. 🥳
The only thing I will say is you ranked the Knicks 11th but their bench unit beat the starters for the hornets who you placed fourth. Bench played a full game against their starters and won. Just food for thought. Check the stats. That bench is way better than people are giving them credit.
I personally don’t think 1 pre season game should determine a teams position on a list like this. I’m not saying they won’t be better than 11, I’m just saying I gotta see consistently throughout games that matter. I hear you though!
@@DeHave my counterpoint to that would be they are the bench because they aren’t good enough to be the starters. So I understand this comment but they played better than the Hornets best. And it was the second string against their starters and our third string against their bench. To be fair they had the same amount of time to gel. For the bench of them to lose to the third string, it should prove they don’t deserve to be fourth.
Good video. Just to add some more context for the Heat, looks like k love will play back up 5 while they have Ware developing, hopefully he can some rotation minutes at some this year. And it looks like dru Smith will be playing back up point, he's a solid defender and good with not turning the ball over, tho I see other players running the offense (Jamie, terry/tyler). Also this isn't an argument to rank them higher, 6 (top 8) is fair.
Thank you for the feedback! I thought that Ware would get meaningful minutes but I guess not! How do you feel about love as backup 5 defensively. I am aware of Smith just didn’t know he’d get a role! Thanks so much for the info and added context! These are the type of comments that help me a lot, i appreciate you. Glad you agree on the ranking 🙏🏻
@DeHave as of right now I'm fine with k love as the back up 5, still a good rebounder + his outlet passes can spark transition offense, plus he is really good at drawing charges. I'm sure you'll still have at least 2 good defenders on the floor with him like Haywood and Butler (who has great chemistry with love). I'm sure if there is a game here and there if his defense is hurting the team spo would make an adjustment (like give Ware some minutes).
@DeHave also Dru Smith is getting the 2 way deal, but I'm sure we'll see him get minutes in games when we need defense while j rich is out or if another injury comes up.
Of course no one can say how Lonzo will be this year but judging from the way he didn’t hold back and looked comfortable and confident then I think he can make a substantial impact on the league. But of course everything is hedging on his ability to stay on the court. This is probably his last chance because no one will likely to ever trust him again if he suffers another major setback. That is the harsh reality of the sport. I wish him nothing but the best.
Same with his brother who is one I will also be following closely this year. That is if I have the time because this year will be crazy. There is so much interest it seems. Or maybe it’s just me because I never went deep into the league (and into basketball in general) before this year. So my approach this year is different. But it is very time consuming and I like most people have other things I want and need to do. So I don’t know how it will be. I don’t know how I will react. Does that sound strange?
Honestly shocked how high you have Heat people usually down on them. Not complaining though that’s my team lol. Hopefully PG heals up soon for you guys.
The bench is crazy good for the heat! I live Jaquez, he’s so slept on it’s wild! Good luck to you as well, rn they’re saying it’s possible he’ll be back for the opener, if not the opener than likely game 2 or 3! It’s always something lol good luck this season 🙏🏻
Hope you enjoyed the series!! 🔥 Fun video tomorrow, stay tuned 🙏🏻💛
the Bo1 soundtrack in the background at the beginning brought me back 😭 good video

Totally agree, your team is legit and potentially best defense in the NBA! Good luck this season 🙏🏻

I’m curious about Yabusele. I think he’s a stud.
And you’re right. He’s very smart.
K. Hayes was cut from the nets. Is he on the way out of the league?
Little advice you can’t say the 15th and 14th are good and stacked when they legit can’t be if you are ranking them low makes no sense
Dyson is going to start for Atlanta
Is this confirmed?
Celtics and pacers bench isn’t all crazy
YOU MEAN TO TELL ME YOU JUST SAW A KNICKS BENCH BEAT THE HORNETS STARTERS AND THE BEST WE COULD GET IS 11, IDK ABOUT THAT
Would you like me to change my rankings based on 1 preseason game?
