I would definitely disagree with that. They barely had him in the playoffs and still nobody came close. Of course they are better with him, but they are still the best without him easily. Also I think that certain teams will give Boston a tough series as well, but that doesn’t make them as good.
@donkeyeater6942 that’s true but in the regular season they were dominant against everybody and in the finals they breezed past Dallas with KP down and Tatum shooting poorly. It’s a fair point but I don’t think it changes the result, they were winning last year no matter who they played imo. And they didn’t lose anyone in the offseason so I just think they’re the best team until proven otherwise.
@@DeHaveCeltics walked through the playoffs due to injuries. For the Pacers to have faced them in the finals is a joke. Last year’s EC playoffs should hold little weight
@@DeHavecome on my guy, the Celtics played some trash teams. I don’t want to hear about the regular season. The played a completely injured Heat team, played the Cavs without two of their best players, played the Pacers without their best player and the pacers were out scoring them for the most part, and they played a Mavs team that clearly overachieved. One of the easiest roads to the finals. Celtics have a very good team but they are not that much better than the other top teams and y’all will find out this season
Thank you so much, I try to be objective, it’s great to hear this stuff from a rival fans perspective! I always believe we can all dislike each others teams and still remain respectful and kind 🙏🏻
im a pacers fan so i may be biased, but with a healthy haliburton and full season with pascal, i think they’ll put themselves in the top 5 duos in the league conversation. we saw them be able to go bucket for bucket with boston even without haliburton. if a guy like jarace can develop into a starter and take on the toughest matchup defensively, i can see them as a top 3 seed only behind new york and boston and can compete with anyone in a 7 game series. i think philly and milwaukee may struggle too much with injuries to be in the top and of the standings and a team like cleveland is hard to predict. maybe they’re another year of playoff experience away from being a truly elite team, but im very excited to be a pacers fan for the next few years
I hear you, I am also higher on the pacers than most, but I just don’t think they’re on the level of a Dallas, Okc, Minnesota, Denver, Knicks or Healthy Sixers. It’s possible they duplicate the success but I think you hit the nail on the head, defensively they need some things to happen before they can become elite. I’d even take the offense a step further and say they can keep up with ANYONE in this league, but it’s the other end I worry about. Not to mention, Knick, Sixers, Celtics, Heat and Bucks all have great big men, I worry about the Pacers size and physicality for certain matchups. Not saying Turner isn’t a good player or even very good defender but the interior is not a strength of this team in a conference with great big men. I agree that they by the end of the season they’re gonna be in a position to give anyone a tough series, but I just think those teams are better. Thanks for the feedback and good luck to you and your pacers this season 🙏🏻
Giannis is the 2nd or 3rd best in the world. As long as he always has a solid supporting cast, his team will at least be the bottom of elite. I give you some credit bc of his injuries. But he is just such a difference maker that only Luka and Jokic can replace even only on the offensive side of the floor
I’m so glad this OKC glazing is stopping. Some people think they are on the same level as the Celtics and they haven’t even made it to the conference finals yet.
The only thing that's stopping this Thunder team is youth and lack of experience. Their oldest guy is Caruso who is only 30 years old even then. If they had a few years more experience with this level of talent, the conversation might be much different
As a blazer fan, Billups is the worst coach in the league. HOWEVER, 1. All of our best players, we kept. 2. We added Avdija and Clingan 3. Simons, Grant, Ayton, Robert Williams, and Sharpe missed about 200 games combined last year!! 4. Our rookies from last year (Scoot, Camara, etc.) will be 2nd year players I would bet my life that Portland wins more games than the "Detroit Pistons." lmao and wouldn't be surprised if they're 10th seed or better. Anyways I agree w most of your list regardless lol
I agree with the top of your list for the most part, but the bottom feels very optimistic for a lot of these teams. I really doubt that the Pistons do anything of note, the Bulls seem too high, just in general there aren't nearly enough teams in the 'Rebuilding' category. I think people are generally way too high on the Kings too. But otherwise it's a fine list.
Let’s go!! lol I have heard a big move is could be coming after the McDaniels trade, do you know anything about that? Also thanks I’m glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏻
I can’t stand the bucks disrespect. Especially giannis and dame. Give the most dominant player in the world the 2nd best shooter in nba history, and one of the best scorers of this era in dame who still has one, maybe two years left of his prime, they will just be unstoppable this season. I don’t want anybody who was not riding the bucks to jump on once they see how good giannis & dame can really be.
You just ranked Houston starting unit as the 10th best in the West and their bench as the 1st, but the team is 11th? Doesn't add up. Do you mean having the best bench in the conference will hurt the starters' performance, or do you just can't let those geriatric teams that have already been at the end of play-in ranking last year go?
@@DeHave Tell that to last week's DeHave. He ranked Houston above Warriors, Clips, and Spurs. Three teams that have multiple HoFs in their starting lineups.
