How funny I thought the same thing, if I just follow the coast I shouldn’t get lost but sure enough I got lost and had a 2 hour detour with my wife on the back but we didn’t mind either cause it looks so nice out there.
I was just there 2 days ago and it was crazy , crazy busy! If You want to go there, make sure you go off season. And make sure you take your mosquito repellent!!
Use to have a Honda 150 Elite Deluxe Scooter; had speakers with an Amp great to be 16 years old; might have to put this on my bucket list. Trip looked amazing and they drive on the (right) side of the road LOL.
another super fantastic VLOG.. just love all your videos. Must say I was surprised that you left your wife to bring the suitcases up the long trek. Food you cooked looked so good. Thanks Joel
Awesome panoramic view indeed. I lived in Amalfi coast for 2 years . I have been to Sorrento many times but I have never stayed nor dined at the areas you've been too. I seldom witnessed the rainy season too..I worked in Positano and Ravello before. The traffic along the Amalfi coast is madness indeed plus on a winding road can be horrible at times
I would love to live there for a couple years, that would be a great experience Valerie. I've also only seen it in Spring/Summer. Thanks for your comment 😀 Joel.
I was there over 20 years ago.... did all the almafi coast and home base was Positano.... there were not the crowds you encountered..... My ex was 6'4" so you can imagine the car we rent from Rome to Positano was not small. and I drove as he could not drive standard.... I had no issues on those curves... great vid ... thank you
Brilliant Joel and Sue!!! Can't wait for the next instalment😊 Stunning views! I bet you enjoyed cooking with the local produce, I know I would.... Especially with that view from your B & B!! So looking forward to watching your Dubai stint.. All the best to you both from down Under👍
I'm a new subscriber. I was just looking for a "fried" chicken recipe and I found your channel. Aside from the cooking videos, I should say how incredible your travel videos are. It's like I'm watching a tv program. Do you shot and edit them yourselves? It's like you have a whole film crew with you. That's how good it is. Congratulations.
WOW! Joel & Sue you make a great team. You've brought us an awe inspiring visuals ,making it so much exciting to visit Italy. Beautiful destination but definitely too short - I'm sure there was so much more you would like to have shared with us about your Italian experience. - must have been on a tight schedule, can't wait to see your next experience of Dubai. Great job as always - just love your selfie on the Vespa.
Thanks so much Abe, yes time is always too short, I think I need six months in Italy! Glad you enjoyed it, working on Dubai vlog now before my next trip to Indonesia next week. Cheers!
New to your channel, fabulous recipe videos. Love this video, great reminder, we stayed in Sorrento last year, done our trips by boat, lovely holiday experience. Excellent video format on your channel, easy and enjoyable to follow.
Really lurve your videos, Joel! Greetings from Norway, by the way! I was in Sorrento myself a few years back. Also sitting enjoying my drink on the Piazza Tasso (named after one of Italy’s great Renaissance poets), when torrential rainstorm of weapons grade magnitude hit us. At that moment it would have been nice to have a B&B room with a view like yours to retreat to :) Anyway, like you I suppose, I left piece of my heart in that part of Italy ... thank you so much for triggering beautiful memories!
Nice to hear it brought you back fond memories, I could sit in that Piazza for hours. The rain doesn't bother me too much as long as it doesn't land in my wine! 😉 Cheers D M!
Nice video overall. I watched for the Vespa. However, I really liked the part at the 14:42 mark (lady in white pants). Hey, man cannot live on pasta alone. LOL :)
Yeah very nice mate, fabulous. I’ll be in Atrani for a couple of weeks in Sep, can you remember the name of that restaurant you stopped at for lunch in Amalfi? Looked good. Frecciarossa trains rock 🚆
Excelente viagem... tudo de muito bom gosto... as imagens da cidade, os ambientes turísticos, a gastronômia e necessidade da vespa em Sorrento... Muito obrigado pela viagem... Forte abraço...
Great vid mate! Going over to italy next month. Were also thinking about staying in Sorrento and using as base to sight see. I was unsure about the scooter hire (bali/Thailand experienced) but after watching your vid- its a DEFINITE YES! Would u have any tips?
Check the laws with international driving licences. For smaller scooters you don't need motorcycle license but bigger ones you do. Sorrento is a great place to stay, very central but also very busy. Keep a GPS with you as you will get lost. Have a great time! Wish it was me again.
Amazing! As a scooter enthusiast, I have always dreamed of renting a Vespa and traveling the Amalfi Coast. This inspires me even more. I wonder if I might ask a couple of questions: What month did you visit Sorrento? What size was the scooter? 125? 150? Any Vespa-renting tips? Thank you so much! Carson
I went in June which was perfect weather and less crowded. July August is hotter with more crowds but still great fun on a Scooter, I've done it twice. September, October could be good too. For two people, I went the larger capacity, can't remember so probably the 150 as I have a motorcycle licence. I've never had issues renting one, always take plenty of photos first, in case of chips etc and get insurance. Be prepared to pay for parking in busy places. If you can find a phone holder for navigating, that's always a good idea as you will get lost. Enjoy it like I did!
Great video. Next week I am going to Sorrento for 1 day from Rome. I need your advice. I will also rent a scooter. Is 1 or 2 days enough to visit Positano, Amalfi and Atrani? Greetings
you should try to make Croatian specialties, sarma, ground turkey, kettle, strukles, kebabs, lamb on a spit, fish stew, fish specialties trebao bi probati napraviti Hrvatske specijalitete, sarma, purica s mlincima, kotlić, štrukle, ćevapčiće, janjetinu s ražnja, fiš paprikaš, riblje specijalitete
Hi Joel, I was wondering if you thought it was difficult using a scooter in this area and would you recommend for someone who does not use a scooter as part of their every day at home. Thanks
I'm used to riding a motorbike so a scooter was no issue, but if you're not used to it, I would suggest to catch a taxi or bus, do not drive to Positano if you can avoid it.
I am planning to rent Vespa in Italy and always wondered how I can go and come back from Sorrento to Positano. Amalfi cost/drive is the good way to go to Positano? This is not..... highway.... right?
Positano..... my dream vacation. Before I’m too old to climb all of those stairs. 🤣 Check out the TH-cam channel “Nicki Positano” she lives in Positano with her family and her weekly videos are amazing. 👍😀💜
I am crying 😢 now, I missed that beautiful place, I have been there long long time ago,
Enjoy...
How funny I thought the same thing, if I just follow the coast I shouldn’t get lost but sure enough I got lost and had a 2 hour detour with my wife on the back but we didn’t mind either cause it looks so nice out there.
Ha ha, I'm glad you can relate, good times!
🥰So glad you got to experience my amazing country!! Especially in that area, I’m only about 25 minutes away!!! Leaving tonite so excited 😊🇮🇹💕
That's awesome Melissa, have a fantastic trip like I did! A wonderful country! ❤
Magnifique
I was just there 2 days ago and it was crazy , crazy busy! If You want to go there, make sure you go off season. And make sure you take your mosquito repellent!!
Yes you are in peak season Carol. I can't say we had mosquito issues though.
I went to Almalfi Coastline this year and prepared a beautiful Caprese salad whilst in Sorrento. I ❤ Italy.
That's the most fun part! :)
I really enjoyed watching this! So well edited and very fun.
Use to have a Honda 150 Elite Deluxe Scooter; had speakers with an Amp great to be 16 years old; might have to put this on my bucket list. Trip looked amazing and they drive on the (right) side of the road LOL.
It was the wrong side for me but yes, definitely a worthwhile ride! 😀😀
another super fantastic VLOG.. just love all your videos. Must say I was surprised that you left your wife to bring the suitcases up the long trek. Food you cooked looked so good. Thanks Joel
Ha ha, I was carrying my own load plus a camera and backpack, I wouldn't do that to her 😀

Que bom que você gostou, obrigado!
Why was the traffic stopped? After the queue there seemed to be no issue at all?
To avoid congestion they only allow a certain amount of traffic at a time.
Beautiful Video . Thanks for making it .
Glad you enjoyed it Gary! 😊
Wooooooowooooo i just lost......what a place
Yes, quite amazing!
Hi Joel, what is the name of the Bnb you stayed at? Would love to go! Cheers

Occasionally I do
Please share link for Vespa rental and how much you paid for it , thanks
Just came across this video of amalfi coast, not sure how the tourism will be post COVID-19 .
The whole world is in trouble for some time I think.
I love Sorrento.
Yeah it's awesome 😀👍
Bella italia❤
Gorgeous! 🌺
Thank you! Cheers!
Seems it was wonderful! Can you plz let me know how much you pay for the rental scooter/day from sorrento to positano?
I can't remember sorry but it was reasonable for touristic Italy 🤙
Nice ride in vespa it seems. with helmet while riding in bike looks like Mr. Bean . We too enjoyed the way you show up.
Glad you enjoyed it! 👍 Mr Bean 😂
What is the music in the first minute or so?
Quick question is it possible to give me the info on the airbnb you stayed in. I would love to reserve it, thank you
Sure, ▶You can find our B&B Mira Sorrento here: mirasorrento.business.site/ (not sponsored just a great place)

How much did it cost for rental Per day?
@@samitgore8219 30 euro
May I ask do you need EU motorcycle license to rent one? I have US motorcycle license.
Love your blog,,,😊
Thanks Gina 😀👍
Amazing! Do you still remember the name of the airbnb?
It should be in description.
Hii
Which month had you travelled to these places?? We are planning to visit in November this month.
It was around End of July Early August, busy season. Enjoy! 👍
Any reccomendations for businesses to get moped rentals from? How did you rent your Vespa? Great video, thank you
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊 I rented this one from Jollyrent in Sorrento. They were really good. Recommended!
What a sharp and crisp footage ! Which camera ,lens and gimbal have you used ?
Sony a7III at the time.
its so good:)
Thanks Fang! 😀
Hi planning to rent a Vespa in amalfi coast,is the Vespa has a usb charger?
Great video.
Next week I am going to Sorrento for 1 day from Rome. I need your advice. I will also rent a scooter. Is 1 or 2 days enough to visit Positano, Amalfi and Atrani? Greetings
It really depends on what you want to do. There's so much to do in Positano alone. I would try and extend your stay a few more days at least.
Do you need an IDP to rent a vespa?
you should try to make Croatian specialties, sarma, ground turkey, kettle, strukles, kebabs, lamb on a spit, fish stew, fish specialties
trebao bi probati napraviti Hrvatske specijalitete, sarma, purica s mlincima, kotlić, štrukle, ćevapčiće, janjetinu s ražnja, fiš paprikaš, riblje specijalitete
That’s how they do it 🤷🏼♂️
That's proper finger positioning on the breakes, one can tell you know how to ride.
How much was per day rent for a scooter?
I can't remember but think it was approx 50 euros per day.
Hi! How much did you pay for parking? Thank you.
From memory around 5 Euros, for a few hours.
An Italian doesn’t drive this vespa, an Italian drives the old vespa
Yeah, I love the old ones!
Hi Joel, I was wondering if you thought it was difficult using a scooter in this area and would you recommend for someone who does not use a scooter as part of their every day at home. Thanks

Yes just follow the coast, use a GPS as there's a couple tricky parts, I envy you, it's a beautiful ride, enjoy!
Wonderful 👍I love Vespa 🛵
Yes so much fun! 😀😀
Mee too 👍🏼😊 such a nice video.
How easy is this if you've never rode a vespa/scooter/motorcycle?
I wouldn't recommend it. Hire one and do some quiet country roads first.
Reicht ein normaler autoführerschein für ein roller zu fahren?
Wow the train
Best train I've been on for a 10 cent upgrade! 😅
I want to do that so bad!!!
Just do it Rosemary 😀
I skip to the vespa ride and watch this muted with the Italian gibberish song Prisencolinensinainciusol playing. Bravo!
Whatever works.
Божественно!!
Does it need a license?
That one did, but the slightly smaller motor doesn't.
Lucaaaa
🤩😍🚴
😀👍
It had been more safe if you left the recording camera stick control to your wife, continuing driving Vespa carefully with both hands... 😀😎😘
Yes you're right! 👍
The passages he takes are risky to pass true but great you didn't hit something
