The Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas providing musical support for Changing the Guard in Windsor on 25 April 2024.
The weather was reasonable, and being a Thursday it was slightly less crowded than what might be expected on a Saturday.
0:00 The band emerging from the barracks and marching up Sheet Street and round into the High Street on their way to Windsor Castle, leading the New Guard, playing "Jellalabad" (composer believed to be A.E.James) and then "Atholl Highlanders / Cock O' The North".
3:26 Not much to see here at first for the volume of crowds, but at least most of the music can be heard! The band marching off the High Street and up Castle Hill and entering the castle, leading the New Guard, playing "March to the Everest" (Sunil Gurung) and then "Scotland the Brave / Highland Laddie".
4:51 The band coming into view from behind the Museum and marching back down Windsor High Street and round into Sheet Street, leading the Old Guard, playing "Atholl Highlanders / Cock O' The North", then "Glorious Victory" (W.M.Kendall), and then finally "Scotland the Brave / Highland Laddie".
