(17:26) ahh broke me off!! AYE!!. Love those moments. Great video, and awesome content. Real helpful when you explained the turnover from the lake to tail waters ,and how visibility is key to each the fish and the angler. Keep on brother! Thanks Norman 👌
Thank you, it’s a major environmental influence during the winter, but something the fish have to adapt to in order to survive. As well, the angler has to adapt accordingly to find fish.
Great video and lots of great fish! I'm making my first trip to the San Juan in late March 2024. Lots of big fish - are the fish tippet-wary? For euronymphing, will #4-5 tippet be too big or do you recommend #6? Thanks
just watched ur video again, good job explaining your setup and the water makeup, very informative on catching all 3 phases, nymphs, streamers and dry's 😎@@NMaktimaFlyFishing
Helpful tips of fishing tail water when the lake above turns over. I'll try Euro nymphing next time. Still not comfortable throwing streamers. I seen your video on streamers at Abiquiu last year. I'll try it. Awesome, Norm. A'ho!
Nice video Norm. Looks like a super fun spot. Do you find that the Davy knot always holds for you? Is there any time or reason to use the Double Davy knot?
Thanks Norm, Stay safe out there and I'll look for ya on the water..
STOKED 🤘 Thanks for taking us along! Great content. HAPPY Fish’n
What dry did you put on ? Thanks for showing the set up

Thanks Norm. Great video. I'm heading to the San Juan next week and excited.
Great video Norm! I can’t wait to get back over to the San Juan. And a fish on each rig, awesome!
Awesome NM footage!
Thanks Wayne!

Great work Norm! Just got back from the Juan, fished super well despite it's share of heartbreaks haha
Nice, tore it up Norm, I just started experimenting with the Davy Knot-seems good for my old eyes 😂
Davy knot shines in many situations. Thanks for watching!

Nice video, may I ask where you were at? Right below the Dam?
I was fishing below the Quality Waters most of the day. Then I went up to Texas Hole for the last hour & a half. Thanks for the video!
Euro nymphing doesn't work on the Juan, or so they say.
So they say 😂
