I am currently using the Sufix Nanobraid in the 2 lbs. test strength, this on a 1000 series reel . . . for panfish. It is a really nice braid. And, I own some of these hooks, so I'll have to piece together a set-up like this one and give it a go! Great video! Brad
I do this a lot most days I get more bites twitching it across the top with short pauses also if you haven't tried it try rigging up 2 like a double fluke rig makes casting a bit easier as well .
Our pleasure. We really enjoyed this one, it's one of those little nuggets that pros often keep to themselves because it produces bites when other presentations fail.
I fish this grub a lot here in South Africa. We call it the fat albert. Texas rigged weightless. My favourite lure. Extremely weedless as well.
This has always been my go to setup when conditions are hard or I just want to catch fish
I like this same rig, with a split shot added in front.

The double tail by Yamamoto is an amazing grub too. Love his products.
Absolutely, we love that bait. Thanks for dropping the note Eric.

Hey, I love this technique. I've fished this grub weightless t- rigged and the action is great when it is slowed down like this.
A grub is the original swimbait.

Yep
Sure is
That cast with nano braid hit that blue heron that was feeding on bluegill at the other end of the lake 😂😂
this would be KILLER on those times when the fish are blowing up on those TINY little threadfin shad
I love fishing many soft plastic weightless
Doesn't get much more finesse than that.
FriendlyFishingGuy same here. it's what I catch most of my fish on
I was surprised at how many more fish I caught on these grubs vs minnows.
great info! love these neat tips and tricks. Thanks for sharing the info!

Great Vid, thanks for sharing
THANX A MILLION FROM IDAHO!
You bet J Dean. Let us know if this works for you.
Basically you can use your dropshot combo for this technique. You don't have to go out and buy another set up.
Absolutely, a good soft tip for whipping the very light presentation is key.
yeah ive used this
Thought the hook would be swimming up
I'd rather rig it on a 1/32 or 1/16 oz jig with a #1/0 hook. Braid used looks thicker that 2# test.
2# test diameter equivalent to monofilament.
OMFG i just came up with a good idea I can't say because I don't want to give up my idea but its awesome.
falconrod1 hahahahahah wtf
Tell MEEE
Hey what dos he use for drop shot if he only use that round for grubs
Haydog _322 it's all personal preference but you can basically use a dropshot combo for this technique.
Nano braid comes in 150 yards what do you do to get a full spool?
We run a braid backer material for the majority of the spool then top off with Nano Braid.
What lb.braid backing you used thx...
@@2woods2water82 He uses 6 for this
What size reel is that creed gt?
How I fish a slug-go
We like it, sounds delicious.
how far can you throw that grub with a spinning reel
Anywhere from 80' - 100' in calm or with the wind to your back. You'll see casting distance decline with heavier line.
What size Gamakatsu rebarb hook is he using? Also is it the light wire hook? Thanks.
Dave didn't mention it in this video, but we assume a size 1 to 1/0 for this grub. It was either a light or medium wire hook.
Thank you Dave.
What color grub or number is the grub
Dang it, I do this all the time. Now my secret is out
Sorry! We love this little nuggets coming to the surface, can't wait to try ourselves next spring.
