This time I offer you my impressions of a recently built binoculars: the Meopta MeoPro AIR 8x42. It is equipped with a central window, a flat field, HD fluorine optics and the ten-year warranty can be extended by registering on the Meopta website.

Super Vorstellung dieses außer gewöhnlich guten Fernglases Meopta Meopro 8x42 Air ED.
Mehr muss dazu nicht gesagt werden, hier stimmt einfach alles!
Und es ist das bessere Fernglas, wenn man zwischen 8 facher und 10 facher Vergrößerung wählen will, meiner Meinung nach.
Gründe dafür: deutlich entspannteres Einblick verhalten, mehr Tiefenschärfe, riesiges Blickfeld!
Als Kaufentscheid hier mal ein Tipp: Frankonia Jagt "verschenkt" es gerade für €531,-
Wenn das nicht ein toller Tipp ist, dann weiß ich auch nicht wie ich Euch zum Kauf bewegen kann!

How are you liking the Meopro Airs so far? Did you compare them to the Zeiss Conquest HD or Nikon Monarch HG? Cheers!
@@archstanton9703 I am really enjoying the Airs so far, the resolution is wonderfully sharp. The colours are nice and natural.
The one very very small issue I have is a tiny amount of ambient light reflecting off the ocular lens during use, I wear glasses and the distance between my eye and the lens allows light to bounce around in some circumstances. It's not bad enough to worry though
@@archstanton9703 Hi, thanks for the question, unfortunately at the time of the test I didn't have the two binoculars you mentioned in sight. Here in Italy the meopta costs about 250 euros less than the Nikon and the Zeiss and I consider them good binoculars, however, "from memory" I could tell you that my preference in this case could go to the Monarch HG. I would advise if possible to try it against the Zeiss Conquest because each of the two could be appreciated for slightly different characteristics

Komplett aus Metall und sehr wertig verarbeitet. Auch hier ist die 8 fache Vergrößerung der 10 fachen Vergrößerung vor zu ziehen, aus den selben Gründen wie für das 8x42 Meopta Meopro Air ED.

Hi for birding, Kowa Genesis has less chromatic aberration and more contrast in the center of the field, but for my interpupillar distance the eyecups are too big. I love also Fujinon HC, please see my video and review.

Eloquente il confronto con lo SWAROSKI EL 8.5x42 W B (che costa oltre 1000,00 € di più rispetto al MEOPTA MeoPro AIR HD 8x42, è di poco più leggero ma ha anche un campo inferiore rispetto al MEOPTA...).
Non mi piace il sistema di aggancio dei tappi degli obiettivi, basato su magneti, che potrebbero creare dei problemi al funzionamento di radio, bussole e altre apparecchiature che è possibile vengano utilizzate insieme al binocolo, nelle attività outdoor.
Ciao Specola, grazie. Si, diciamo che la differenza piu' evidente era la maggior luminosità al crepuscolo, pero', devo ammettere di essere rimasto sorpreso dalla resa del Meopta AIR, anche per ciò che concerne la resa ai bordi. Buon fine settimana!
Buongiorno Piergiovanni. Ti seguo ormai da alcuni anni. Complimenti per le tue recensioni. Grazie ad esse ho acquistato ben 4 binocoli che uso con gran soddisfazione, tutti della serie Marine: il 7 x 50, il 10 x 50, il 15 x 70, e il 28 x 110. Provati in tutte le situazioni (ad eccezione dell'ultimo che uso per astronomia). Col tempo mi piacerebbe fare un binocolo con prismi a tetto da portare a spasso boschi per osservare caprioli, cinghiali e birdwatching, visto che i marine pur otticamente molto buoni, sono un po' pesanti, e alla lunga stancano. Devo dire che questo farebbe al caso mio. Sono indeciso tra questo e il B1 plus. Complimenti ancora. Saluti.
CIao Alessandro, il B1 Plus dovrebbe fornire una luminosità maggiore e un poco piu' di nitidezza e contrasto in asse, purtroppo non ho ancora avuto il piacere di compararli e non posso aiutarti molto. L'unica cosa che posso dirti e che spesso le differenze di qualità sono minime ma il prezzo di acquisto è ben superiore. Sempre meglio verificare in negozio o in armeria cosa sia meglio per te. Scusa per il ritardo, ma mi sono accorto che a volte quando rispondo tramite smarpthone non sono salvati i miei messaggi!

Bella recensione per un altro 8 * 42 con prismi a tetto. Sembra un valido strumento: una comparazione con il Nikon Monarch HG sarebbe molto interessante, visto il prezzo confrontabile.
Ciao Luca, difficile per me fare comparative, se non su mia proposta. Spedisco subito indietro i prodotti dopo il test, perchè altrimenti dovrei avere un magazzino in casa :-) Certamente si potrà fare, magari, durante qualche evento. A presto!

What are the optical differences between these Meopta MeoPro Air HDED+ 8×42 and the Meopta MeoStar B1 Plus HD 8×42?

Dear Mauricio, unfortunately i was not able to do a comparison, by the way the Meostar B1 Plus could be more luminous with a better contrast at the center of the field. As you often know, to see a little more you have to spend a lot more. My advice is always to try the product before purchasing to check if the purchase is worth it for you. Kind Regards. Piergiovanni

Yes, you are right. It looks like beyond certain point (already in the "premium" class), every marginal increment in image quality (which is gradually more and more marginal), means a growing increment in price (which is gradually more and more significant).
For instance:
+ 20% in image quality = + 50% in price
+ 10% in image quality = + 70% in price
+ 5% in image quality = + 100% in price
As you gradually increase in smaller steps in image quality, you gradually increase in bigger steps in price.
Every time you improve the image quality, there's gradually less room for improvement, which costs gradually more money.
Great reviews and the English translation is appreciated. In your opinion, between the Meopro Air, GPO Passion, and Zeiss Conquest HD 10x42, which would be the best for nature viewing? Molte grazie!
Hello, Thanks for the comment! Unfortunately I have not had the pleasure of comparing them together and for this reason mine is only a guess. I would exclude the Meopta and would be very undecided between GPO HD PASSION and Zeiss CONQUEST HD. Both could be good performers in birding. I only remember that the Zeiss Conquest HD 8x42 that I tested had a shorter focus: one turn against one and a half turns, starting from a minimum focus of about two meters. @@opticsreviews I appreciate the reply. I’m mainly going to be using the binoculars for hunting, so maybe the better low-light capabilities of the Conquest HD make it a better choice. I have Meopro riflescopes but have never owned a pair of Meopta binoculars. I read many positive comments and reviews on the Conquest HD and maybe it is the best option. I will read your review. Ottima recensione, veramente dettagliata. A parte questo Meopta, c'è qualche altro binocolo per birding con un rapporto qualità prezzo elevato nella fascia "media" da considerare? Grazie!

Hello, thanks for the review. Where are these binoculars made? China?
Meopta is not all that clear in their description but they specify the optics as European. I'm guessing they buy glass blanks from some of the large makers like Hoya, then grind and coat them in house and buy the body for the bino somewhere else, maybe China. But assembly is also done at their plant. Even the cheaper Meopro HD (the older version) was assembled by Meopta in their plant in the US.
I think the lower end models like the Optika are completely outsourced.

Das wundert mich allerdings ein wenig, da natürlich auch nur die neuesten Ferngläser von Swarovsky die gleiche gute optische Qualität aufweisen können! Oft liegt es am Benutzer, nicht 100% richtiges Einblick Verhalten oder nicht korrekt eingestellter Augenabstand (56mm bis 76mm) rundes Bild bei der Wiedergabe!
