Thanks for a great reaction! Well, Deep Purple has gone through numerous line-ups through the years. Starting in 1968 and still going... 1974-75 was the "Mark 3" line-up. You could google "Deep Purple line-ups" or something. About their influences I would say blues, rock, pop, jazz, classical... Hendrix, Cream, Gershwin, Mozart, Bach... I would assume that the bands coming up in the late 60s would influence eachother too. No doubt, they would look at the other bands coming up and think "we can play faster than them, let's add more distortion than them..." and so on...
This is from California Jam where there were other big bands too. Blackmore insisted on going on last cause little did anyone know he was gonna blow up half the stage and his equiptment. They had to jet out because they wanted to arrest him. Rock and Roll. Peace
@@SattzFF actually that isn't the story. There's plenty of info about the California Jam 74 festival and what happened and why. Even a couple of videos where Blackmore himself (in 2015) tells the story of what happened and why. You could check those out easily :)
Thanks for watching!
