Fans of the series if you could marry one of the despair girls who would it be and why? I would go with Nami in hopes of balancing each other out. (I am an abnormal person IRL and I get little joy and a lot feelings of inadequacy from being one) Alternatively if she couldn’t balance me out I would choose Matoi. I find her obsessive devotion beautiful.
It's a sort of parody of the "miracle teacher" type stories where a good teacher helps a bunch of at-risk students get properly educated. The difference being most of the students are outright mentally ill and the teacher is a cyncial, manic-depressive, borderline sociopath, who teaches them about how the world "really works". It's a combination of social satire and just anime being kind of absurd. But it's fun.
It's not just monogatari vibes. In fact Aiyuki Shinbo, director of the Monogatari series, originated his singular style in Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. The whole headtilt look, the constant camera changes, the use of different colors and shadows, they were all experimented in full force in the four Zetsubou sensei seasons (2007-2009) before Shinbo began production of Bakemonogatari in 2009.
So sad that this video is like six years old and no one ever comented on it.
