Water Etching Technique

In my quest to add more and more layers of work, ahem imagery to my work I have found water etching. Water etching is a technique where a resist is applied to greenware and a sponge is used to remove clay leaving the resisted image behind.
Here I show how use vinyl stencils to do the water etching technique.

Thanks for this tutorial! I was just thinking to myself as I tried this with wax, that I bet j could use my cricut. One issue that I did run into was cracking at the hand built seems that I have. Any recommendations as to how to manage that?
