- Montée Impossible represents the pinnacle of French Hillclimbing championship, set against the stunning backdrop of Arette in Pyrénées-Atlantiques. The event showcases the audacious skills of 60 riders, each mounted on wildly customized bikes, as they confront a daunting 230 meter vertical ascent.
These exceptional machines are equipped with formidable features including 1000cc road motorcycle engines, spiked tires for grip, nitro-powered propulsion, and the astonishing amalgamation of two 500cc 2 stroke engines 🤯. The spectacle unfolds with over 100 horsepower trial bikes, all poised to conquer what is deemed the most formidable Hill Climb in the world, where crashes, fails, and valiant attempts abound.
Remarkably, this year's challenge saw no rider triumphantly reaching the summit, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the competition.

I have to hand it to all who tried this hill. Some were good riders and still had trouble. Some riders had good equipment, but should have just watched, on this hill.

Forgive my ignorance but are trial bikes allowed or are the runs timed. I have always wondered why not?
There's a regulation for the bikes and also counts the time

Gracias por tan buen trabajo. Es una pena que no salgan en el video los dos navarros ( 88 Facenda Naitzel y 34 Mitxaus Pedro ) que participaron con una aprilia 1000cc. en la categoría proto B sin puntuar para el campeonato francés. Hicieron muy buenas subidas en su primera participación . ¿Habría alguna posibilidad de obtener un video de estos pilotos?

Way too much gravity
300 to 500 pounds of steel, aluminum, and spiked tires being shot 10 to 15 feet both up and sideways. I wouldn't want to be one of those hillside helpers, or one of the riders. I think I would stick to climbing the 30 to 40 degree road banks. Thay would be fun enough for me.
