4:49 Actually, before everything began, when candidates were yet to file their candidacy for this election, Sara was topping surveys for who the people wanted to become the next President after her dad. BBM, back then, even wished to become just her VP. But, Sara told BBM to run for President, because she wouldn't be running for a national position. As the filing for candidacy deadline neared, there was a huge clamor for Sara to run still, but since she wanted to honor her word to BBM, she opted instead to run as his VP as a compromise to grant the wishes of her supporters. 😊 Fun fact, BBM is from the North (Luzon's Ilocos), Sara is from the South (Mindanao's Davao), & they met & joined forces in the middle (Vizayas' Cebu), thus forming this political tandem, which was coined as "a match made in heaven" by BBM's sister (Sen. Imee), for the reason that they help each other widen the scope of their political capital even more with their team up called the Uniteam ❤💚. With their campaign slogans "Mahalin natin ang Pilipinas", "Sama-sama tayong babangon muli" (let's love the PH🇵🇭, together we'll rise up again), as they pronounce their plans & programs for unity & nation-building, the hope for a brighter tomorrow & a progessive Philippines that their tandem stirred continuously brewed in the hearts of the majority, which was reflected in the final results of the election -BBM won 58% of the total votes, while Sara won 61% of the total votes - there was no contest 💁🏻

As a person who lives of Mindanao, particularly the Davao Region, I am extremely proud of our Mayor, and now our newly elected Vice President, Sara Duterte Carpio. Yes, she is a strong and courageous woman. "Inday? Be careful of that woman," President Rodrigo Duterte once said. (Inday is a nickname in Bisaya that means lady.) I also recall her being interviewed and being asked to name items in her bag that other women don't have. She replied "I'm allowed, and it's a license, and I have a gun in my bag." She's rocks right!! She punched a Sheriff in the face, she is a reserve officer in the Philippine Armed Forces with the rank of Colonel, and President Rodrigo Duterte also stated that he is not the family's alpha, but she is, when she said, this is how we're going to do it, this is how they're going to do it. And in an interview with Sen. Imee, she asked her, "Why the president, your father repeatedly said that he is afraid of you?" I just love her!! 😙💚

I love BBM with his humbleness, humility, and love for his country and fellow Filipinos. He's a man with a great mission. Like his father, he wants to serve his country. Sara was urged by Imee Marcos to run as President and BBM was willing to the VP but Sara did not want to run as president this time. People were disappointed but I think she made the right decision even though I think she could have won. She's got the highest votes amongst all the candidates. Even got higher votes than BBM. Sara is a competent leader and is a president in the making.

The dress with the shoulder pads is called a terno. It is a Filipino traditional gown worn in formal occasions. The terno was made famous by Imelda Marcos as she wore it during state visits.
