Honestly, what did Miller expect was gonna happened? Here is the thing, Khaz had knowingly, and fully willingly been complicit to cypher before, back in Peace Walker. Now he tried to justify it, saying it was in the best interest of bussiness, however Big Boss talked down tonhim like he was a child who didn't get what he was trying to do. This is where I think BB decided to cut Khaz loose, he would always put bussiness first before the ideals BB was fighting for, in other words, Miller was not Outer Heaven material. And here is another kicker: Miller had been complicit to Cypher more than once. Now from what I get this conversation happens way after Venom awakes and Diamond Dogs rises. If that is the case, then Khaz would believe that Venom is the real Big Boss. Now when the real BB woke up, Ocelot spilled the beans and told him everything, including who was behind Big Boss rescue, and you had to imagine BB was keeping a close eye on Diamond Dogs from the shadows, at no point did Khaz tried to tell Venom (who I assumed he thought to still be the real Big Boss) that Zero had orchestred the rescue and exhfiltration from Cypruss, once again being acomplice to Cyphers schemes, now had he told Venom like Ocelot told Big Boss, then Miller would have proven his loyalty. Now how many contracts did Khaz accept that turned out to be indirectly from Cypher? C'mon, either the man was completely incompetent in his vigilance or he continued to be complicit to Cypher for the sake of bussiness. Also add in the fact that whenever Venom didn't do as Khaz wanted he threw a little childs fit, questioning and arguing "Big Boss" orders in front of the men, which is a major NO in any military organization. So the fact that he was surprised that he was relieved from BB's organization just shows how oblivious he was, and the liability he ultimately proved to be.
I have a whole love/hate relationship with the ending of the game. It feels like Kojima wanted to justify Big Boss being in Metal Gear MSX and Metal Gear 2. It also just comes out of nowhere and feels really unjustified. Perhaps they were also trying to pull another MGS2 where it wasn't Big Boss who did it all, it was really you, but that was in a meta-sense in MGS2. They're quite literal here, and it just doesn't feel as graceful. However, i think it works in trying to fit in Kaz's shoes and developing how we'd feel about Big Boss in MG MSX and MG2. Big Boss was further deviating from The Boss' will, making him just as guilty as Zero and his Patriots.
No, mgs5 is all part of the plan. Mgs5 is the missing link of all the stories. That, all because of big bosses phantom. After what happened in Metal gear 2: solid snake. The whole world thought solid snake killed big boss. Then in guns of patriots ending, big boss showed up. Mgs 5 is the missing puzzle we wanted.
Karma is a bitch. Kaz got what he deserved, he lied to Big Boss first in Peace Walker, when Kaz was talking to Cipher behind Big Boss's back, Big Boss is pissed first, he's sick and tired of being used and betrayed by his own mentor The Boss, and now Kaz deceived him, so Big Boss got even by lying to Kaz by telling these plans to Ocelot behind his back
@@tovolume I guess it was true what Ocelot said. If the day ever came that Kaz decided to go back to Cipher aka. the Patriots, Ocelot aided the son, that being Liquid Snake, while Kaz perhaps in a sense taught the other son, that being Solid Snake in Survival techniques, then the two of them became foes. One of them had to kill the other.
if kojima never got fired we might get a mgs6 the true ending and the last cycle of story play as real the big boss with improved gameplay of mgs5 also we re going to see solid snake as a child just as eli
@@arnavnandedkar3080late but no. The outer heaven in Africa is what big boss was working on and it makes sense since it was at the center of many conflicts and pmc were needed. Venom snake likely was the one who saved sniper wolf and Naomi and Gray Fox.
@@ace9924 I think there's a confusion. Big Boss was secretly building Outer Heaven while Venom Snake was running Diamond Dogs and carrying on Big Boss's legacy. During this time Venom probably saved Sniper Wolf, Gray Fox, Naomi and did a bunch of stuff to add onto Big Boss's legacy. Once Outer Heaven was finished, Big Boss came back to Foxhound (where he met Solid Snake and trained him) and sent Venom to Outer Heaven to run its operations. Once Outer Heaven was destroyed by Solid and Venom getting killed by Solid, Big Boss (who everyone thought was dead because Venom died) secretly was creating Zanzibar which is Outer Heaven 2.0 in Africa. Zanzibar also got destroyed by Solid. Solid then almost killed Big Boss by burning him. But The Patriots saved Big Boss and finally at the end of mgs4, Big Boss and Solid Snake become friends and here Big Boss actually dies.
@@ace9924 nah all those cases either revolve around BB returning to america or training SW as a soldier. Something Venom didnt due. Also, it feels SW would be one of those kids in MG2
@@ReplacedByTheEU Metal gear 2 occurs in 1999 while the shadow moses incident is in 2005. Sniperwolf was taken in in the 1980's. Venom was largely active in the middle east and likely took her in and later saved Fox and Naomi. Diamond Dogs was absorbed into outer heaven later.
This is a cool scene but completely divorced from logic. There is no reason to think Big Boss’ sons will want to “settle the score” with him. Liquid, maybe, but Boss doesn’t care at all about Solid. That and saying the sons are “fated” to fight each other only works because we as the player know the other MGS games exist and already show this. 1980s Ocelot cannot possibly know this.
Both sons were tools of The Patriots, so it's natural to think that they would be used against Big Boss. Liquid already hated BB, and Snake was already under the care of the US gov. He would be pittied against his father sooner or later.
this explains why kaz was not around in metal gear 1 bc he was in, or at least some portion, on big boss being secretly venom snake. but it also makes sense why kaz appeared in metal gear 2 helping snake get big boss.
Kaz all pissy. Gtfo with that shit. That's what you get for hiding the fact you KNEW who Paz and the professor were. That shit was literally YOUR fault Kaz. Why tf would Big Boss trust you after that? Of fuckin course he left you behind. You did this to yourself.
Oh kaz. He says fine by me, but Im pretty sure ocelot is the one who kills him leading up to the first mgs. Wouldve liked to see kaz train solid snake.
Honestly 5 years later i'm still mixed on this reveal shit. I get why Kojima made the whole phantom thing as a way for a player to be the embodyment of big boss but i can't help but feel the whole downfall of big boss to villain was "see ya miller i gonna go do shit without you, not like we were freinds lol" mind you so much shit got cut from the game story wise it dosn't suprise me Kojima pulled this off the way he did.
Yeah well seems like in peace walker, the final cassette tape snake got was a phone call of cypher and kaz about the les enfantes project. Even tho before, Kaz told snake that cypher was the enemy, feels like snake had enough being lied to and being used so dropping kaz out of his true outer heaven project gave an easier way to solve problems regarding on building the new and better nations of soldiers
mgsV is finished, listen to what ocelot says. He is going after eli, how did he know eli is not dead? kojima is a fucking metaman ;D Mission 51, Area51 does it exist or not? The first copy of the Moby Dick Roman back in the day was missing the last chapter, what is mgs5 missing ? ;) To put the unfinished material on disc to outrage fans and discuss it. The missing"a Hideo Kojima game" on the box cover (because he is a phantom) so on and so on.... "a real phantom pain"
Anyone explain to me why real Big Boss goes back to America and to Foxhound to train Solid Snake to go on a mission to kill his phantom? Like why even bother going back to Foxhound in the first place? Isn’t he supposed to be keeping on the low and letting his phantom take the flack? Also, how can he just stroll back into America like that? Doesn’t he have a lot of enemies there that want him dead?
Once Big Boss built Outer Heaven by himself he went back to Foxhound and sent his phantom to Outer Heaven in his stead. Big Boss sent Solid Snake to Outer Heaven with the intention that Solid Snake will die in the process but he showed skills beyond Big Boss' expectations and killed his phantom in the process. Big Boss used this opportunity to fake his death and once again make an army but Solid Snake destroyed that as well.

As well as their Opponents they’ve defeated in battle. Each will have the same skills and abilities of the Originals. And Outer Heaven’s shall rise from every place where the threats of Metal Gear we’re defeated. So a New FOXHOUND will be Born. I’ll use the Mammal Pod A.I. to create a new Sons of the Patriots System to make the World the way The Boss wanted it as while being advised by Raiden’s LQ-84i Wolf UG. Each Metal Gear that was destroyed in the Past shall be full restored to fighting conditions and be improved like the Unmanned Metal Gear RAY that Desperado Enforcement LLC made but with human Pilots none shall be Nuclear Equipped but they’ll have Bio-Metric I.D. @@hoffa9000 I need to analyze everything Miller says. Keep in mind he praises Venom after he kills the Skulls or wipes out Metal Gear and a bunch of other in-game moments, not merely during the scoring post mission. He cannot possibly respect Venom as much as Naked Snake as much as he does during those moments unless he believed Venom was truly Big Boss.
As much as I loved this game and the story, the voice roles were totally off. This dialogue demonstrates that. Kaz sounds more like the raspy-voiced Ocelot we know from MGS1, 2 & 4. And Ocelot sounds like... I don't know... a normal dude.

And here is another kicker:
Miller had been complicit to Cypher more than once.
So the fact that he was surprised that he was relieved from BB's organization just shows how oblivious he was, and the liability he ultimately proved to be.
their conversation foreshadowing the mgs series sets at the end of 20 and begining of 21 century
I take it you call someone Johnny
"Fine by me." so good
guess you could say kojima played us like a fiddle
Miller was right.
How can kaz be angry after how he conspired in peace walker
This two win in their own way at the end
What was it all for? A very question I asked about this game.
For fun. I had lots of fun fultoning soldiers and putting entire enemy bases to sleep. Wolbachia.
+Cristián Paris Don't forget PEQUOD!
To explain how big boss can manage outer Heaven and comand foxhound at the same time.
gronndar If I was Miller and that mad I might say "Kojima can go to hell. I'll make Nintendo and Microsoft stronger to send him there."
No, mgs5 is all part of the plan. Mgs5 is the missing link of all the stories. That, all because of big bosses phantom. After what happened in Metal gear 2: solid snake. The whole world thought solid snake killed big boss. Then in guns of patriots ending, big boss showed up. Mgs 5 is the missing puzzle we wanted.
and it took one rookie soldier ( solid snake ) to take down an entire nation of soldiers lol
Well to save the world huh from getting enslaved
this entire time it was all a damn lie.
+The Arkham Knight Maybe that was the whole point.
Cristián Paris indeed lol
+The Arkham Knight They played us like a damn fiddle!!!!
Travis Touchdown interviewing Troy Baker.
I just realised something.
If Big Boss was out busy building up Zanzibar, wouldn't that mean Venom Snake was the one who taught Solid Snake CQC?
Big Boss already built it then he went to foxhound where he met snake and sent venom to outer heaven.
Once Outer Heaven was destroyed by Solid and Venom getting killed by Solid,
Big Boss (who everyone thought was dead because Venom died) secretly was creating Zanzibar which is Outer Heaven 2.0 in Africa.
So huey wasn't lying.... Kaz is THE traitor...
isn't it kinda terrific you are building up outer heaven. that a single guy is sneaking in destroying everything and killls you ?
In the end Kaz died for vengeance just to kill Big boss.
this explains why kaz was not around in metal gear 1 bc he was in, or at least some portion, on big boss being secretly venom snake. but it also makes sense why kaz appeared in metal gear 2 helping snake get big boss.
Big Boss played them like a damn fiddle
Kaz all pissy. Gtfo with that shit. That's what you get for hiding the fact you KNEW who Paz and the professor were. That shit was literally YOUR fault Kaz. Why tf would Big Boss trust you after that? Of fuckin course he left you behind. You did this to yourself.
Chill
@@bigfatbuns why? Are you ok? My bad
kaz deserved better
I don't feel sorry for Kaz because he betrayed Big Boss in the beginning. Ocelot never did this and replaced him.
In the end Kaz lost everything.
Mister Director?
so ocelot is the one who killed Miller before mgs 1 ?
Him or Liquid. Maybe both at the same time.
1:21 spoiler alert
Moral of the story? Revenge is a one way street, that never really seems to fix anything. If you're gonna do something, do it for the right things.
Oh kaz. He says fine by me, but Im pretty sure ocelot is the one who kills him leading up to the first mgs. Wouldve liked to see kaz train solid snake.
I am the true Big Boss and you are to.
It was also an explanation to how big boss dies in MG1
@@BigBoss549 i suppose... still mixed on it. I mean a guy like big boss can cheat death all the time lol
I don't care what anyone says. Kaz won in the end.
Ocelot technically win too
"His meme"
mgsV is finished, listen to what ocelot says.
He is going after eli, how did he know eli is not dead?
kojima is a fucking metaman ;D
Mission 51, Area51 does it exist or not?
The first copy of the Moby Dick Roman back in the day was missing the last chapter, what is mgs5 missing ? ;)
To put the unfinished material on disc to outrage fans and discuss it.
The missing"a Hideo Kojima game" on the box cover (because he is a phantom)
so on and so on....
"a real phantom pain"
He doesn't state going after Eli, he talks about "the sons", which Kaz also knows about since Peace Walker.
Arnav Nandedkar thank you but I don’t think that answered any of the questions I asked🤣
@@WYJAFAK2 bro this is Metal Gear Solid. Weird things happen here and that creates a lot of questions. Take mgs5 for that example, the twist at the end and truth tapes creates a lot of questions. Mgs5 was supposed to provide the missing link (according to trailers) but gave more questions to us.
@@WYJAFAK2 yeah we do get to know why Miller hated Big Boss but other than that everything else was crap.
@@WYJAFAK2 in mgs4 Big Boss said that Zero hated/feared him but in the truth tapes of mgs5 we are hearing that Zero saved Big Boss during Ground Zeroes and it was Zero's idea to create the phantom Big boss. I mean WTH is that.
But now I want to keep Solid Snake’s legacy to continue for The Boss’ Will. I’ll start “Les Enfant Terrible” again to make clones of Solid that are stabilized to prevent accelerated. I would have transferred his Memories to his Clone so he won’t die. I would also create Clones of who supported Big Boss, Venom Snake, Solid & Raiden. Locks. So they can be used against serious threats. Each one of the Clones will have replacements if they die. So this way I can make the MGS Series alive in an Infinite Loop forever. After Konami’s MG Survive disaster. I wanted to find a way to have Hideo Kojima’s Masterpiece of a Game Series to continue. I know Konami has its rights to the game but Kojima directed perfectly. It’s a fantasy of mine to make into a reality. Solid Snake is a Role Model of mine.
Hideo Kojima can go to hell. I'll make Nintendo and Microsoft stronger to send him there.
The fuck are you talking about?
HAHAHAHAHAHAH oml this guys
I get the reference but I better one would be "Konami can go to hell. I'll make Hideo Kojima and Sony stronger to send him there" because sony it sponsoring Kojima's next project
for that I will keep playing my role.
Lol no @ the previous replies. Hideo Kojima had all the creative direction in MGSV. MGSV is the fucking worst smirch on the face of the MG franchise. Fuck Kojima.
I want to know: is the conversation after the end of mission 51 or in the beginning. Because it's seems legit if it is in the beginning of the game, you can see how Kaz is angry...
when did the conversation between miller and ocelot take place? after the game, before it?
+TwilightDemon10889 of course, after the game.. hahaha
+TwilightDemon10889 After the game for sure. Before that you can see Miller really admires BB and praises him for everything.
W0LF10889 after you rescue him actually. during the rescue you see him as happy and excited, but afterwards he is grumpy and negative.
the praises are more of a game mechanic, a response to the player receiving s-ranks and such
@@hoffa9000 I need to analyze everything Miller says.
Anyone know the timeline ost?
So... No Solid/old snake "die" in the time line.... Mmmmm 🤔
Wait. So the one in Zanzibar was actually THE big boss? Like, jack/John? Not venom?
yes
when does this conversation even take place? before or after ?
+andrew gonzales I want to say after, it would make more sense. Ocelot hypno-whatevers himself before the hospital scene and Kaz is in Afghan trapped.
After
Ground zeros after credit was before which has never happens till that game. V games after credits are before meaning kaz lied to u the whole game.
Kock Lover Could you elaborate, I don't understand
yeah I was was wondering if Kaz was in on it during the entire game.
how do you get to this ending
Play the game
As much as I loved this game and the story, the voice roles were totally off. This dialogue demonstrates that. Kaz sounds more like the raspy-voiced Ocelot we know from MGS1, 2 & 4. And Ocelot sounds like... I don't know... a normal dude.
Did they just play the metal gear series in like 2 minutes
Nah
what happened to venom snake after this
+Solid Snake You killed him...(Outer Heaven Uprising)...
+BlackBat Fox in METAL GEAR the first game from the 80's ^^.... see i helped
+Solid Snake He keeps going on until Solid Snake defeats and kills him in the first Metal Gear
@@2Good2BeTrue45 Yeah, Apparently the Real Big Boss sent Snake to kill the Phantom Big Boss.
He goes on to do many missions and spreads big boss's reputation and eventually him and the diamond dogs leave the Seychelles mother base and go to galzburg south Africa where they are absorbed into outer heaven. Venom snake in the 80's likely rescued Naomi and Gray Fox along with Sniper Wolf, assuming big boss wasnt active at this time as a soldier.
So why did Ocelot become evil in Mgs1 & 2?
And I never played MGS4 so please no spoilers for it.
Just google it lol. I don't have time to explain.
Good and evil are subjective. I wouldn't say he was "evil" but perhaps instead ruthless in ambition. Play MGS4. They address this.
+Big Boss I want to play it really badly, but I don't have a ps3 anymore :(
Triple-D26 :(
who says the real big boss is working sepreatly from us to create a new nation?
+Yazan Ocelot. He's working separately to create the Zanzibar Land of MG2. Meanwhile Venom Snake/Phantom Big Boss creates Outer Heaven of MG1.
Yeah and (spoilers) it wasn't until MGS4 that Big Boss's Outer Heaven is accomplished. As he said,
"DO YOU SEE THIS ZERO!!! WE ARE VICTORIOUS!!!! BEHOLD!!! GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS!!!" In his mind he's thinking, "So long, Zero, you lose."
@@NightWanderer31415 that's not what he was planning. The military fortress in South Africa was the nation that big boss had built in the shadows. Zanzibar land came later.
"Okay let's make a game presented as a prequel to the whole franchise and no one will be lost because they don't need to play mgs 1 to 4. "
Ending credits spoiling the whole franchise.
Ye this ticked me off. I'm playing MGS4 after 5, so I had to cover my eyes for the last part of the timeline lol.
