  • New York to London in 3 hours? Pfft.
    Suggestions for future flights, as well as general feedback are incredibly welcome. Where should I fly? What should I fly? How in-depth do you want these videos to be? Do you want eye-candy or nuts and bolts? Let me know in the comments below! :)
    I can provide a list of all my addons as well in future if required.

    HATS OFF!!! A real pleasure to watch. I flew flight sim about 10-12 years ago was very basic compared to this. The detail and graphics are simply stunning. Well done for the way you've got your head around the flight controls and flight charismatics - brill!!. Look forward to seeing many more. A beautiful tribute to the worlds greatest flying legend!!

    Used to run out into the back garden every night to watch her fly overhead on her climb out towards the US, as well as taking a wander through at Duxford. Happy days.

    Can you please fly from JFK to LAX? I know over land supersonic flights were not plausible due to sonic booms but it would be interesting to see how fast the Concorde would be if it was permitted to fly over land.

    What informative tutorial, done with good humour. Thank you very much. I hope I'll find some more of your stuff on this bird. I've had this for about 4 years, and I haven't dared to touch it since the whole system is so different from other ordinary airplanes I've fown (mostly PMDG stuff); reminds me more of a space travel vehicle.

    The recording of the ATC gave me goosebumps. Concorde is the greatest aircraft ever to fly. If by some miracle I become mega rich one day i will buy a Concorde and restore it to flying condition, do the things they never did to make it safer etc and then get myself a type rating on her and fly her

    I'm guessing Concorde was only a shorter flight from New York to London for the passengers... for the Pilot however, this flight would probably have taken longer than any standard 747 flight from New York to London due to the amount of time your setting the thing up!

      Maybe I'm late 4 years hahaha. But in XPlane 11 I can set her up in 15-20 minutes from cold&dark including manual INS input. Real concorde have 3 people onboard, and they're obviously the best. After hours of training and flight time it's like a second home I believe

    There is a Concorde at Manchester airport visitor park. You can pay to have a full technical tour of it, walk round the aircraft, get as close as you want and you can also sit in the captains seat of the Concorde. Definitely worth going up if you get the chance!

  • @will_of_d8001
    @will_of_d8001 8 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    Looking at the Concorde, I can't help but see the 1st Generation Combiner Autobot, Silverbolt. His vehicle form looks very similar to the Concorde, if only for the triangular-ish wings and spaceship-like design.
    EDIT: It turns out he actually does turn into a Concorde lol.

    • @zhannymc1043
      @zhannymc1043 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From his wiki - "Silverbolt was constructed out of a low-flying cargo transport vessel, which was modified to resemble an Earthly Concorde" ;) turns out he is a modified concorde haha

    I also saw the Concorde at Duxford when I was young (hard not to I live relatively close to it , with no way to get to it :( )
    and I was blown away. I was also blown away with the SR-71 Blackbird, when I last went there 4 years ago I did bash my head on one of the fins on the engines of the blackbird.
    The Concorde at Duxford is a pre-production version aka the very first one.

    34:35 Presumably, it's actually the plane that's shaking, and because the camera maintains it's position relative to the plane it makes it look like the ground is shaking.

  • @mrbrianparker

    Well, that made a change from 7*7's and assorted Airbuses. Well done, it was very interesting. I normally stick to X-Plane (mac so I have to) but it's good to get a look at an (now sadly) unusual aircraft on another platform.

      +John S I'm a tad older (born 1962) and had a 'Concorde' water colour paintbox when I was 4 years oldish...way before it flew in 1969.
      Wish I still had it.
      I also had a cockpit jigsaw when I was still a pre-teen, it was very hard...all those dials!
