    This lock actually puts up a pretty good fight against an angle grinder attack in field test conditions as demonstrated by "I Tested The BEST Bike Locks From Amazon" by TylerTube as it flops around and is hard to hold steady. I hope you do a review on the Mason 220 Pentagon-shaped shackle U-lock that is Sold Secure Diamond.
    Probably the best lock to complement this folding lock in a multiple-lock setup for an expensive e-bike!

  • @WednesdaysVlog

    Imagine if they made this lock with the same material that the Litelok x3 is made from. We may just get our first Diamond rated folding lock.

    • @bikelockwiki
      @bikelockwiki  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah the only issue is at that point the lock will be so heavy that it’ll probably defeat the point of having a folding lock in the first place 😂

    • @WednesdaysVlog
      @WednesdaysVlog 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@bikelockwiki Yeah for me it's more about the ability to lock up to anything, but securely. I'm a bicycle courier and U-Locks just aren't capable at locking up to random light posts etc. I do have a chain lock but it's pretty short and way too heavy to justify it's small length. I feel like a folding lock with angle grinder resistant material would be perfect. They could maybe get the weight down in other ways, like using less mass overall, since it's the material that stops the angle grinders, not the size, right?

    I wonder if its possible to loop this under the seat when locking the bike?

    • @bikelockwiki
      @bikelockwiki  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My saddle doesn't offer enough clearance between the saddle rails for this. But I think it'd be possible with many bigger saddles.
      That said, you can always use a cable extension that will fit under any saddle and allow you to secure other auxiliary components.

    How is this lock compares with AXA Ultra and Kryptonite Evolution 790? Cheers

    • @bikelockwiki
      @bikelockwiki  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The Axa Ultra, Kryptonite 790 and Trelock FS 580 are actually all the same product. These three companies are owned by Allegion, so it seems that they've simply shared the IP across the three brands.
      With regards to the comparison between the Forever and these other folding locks, I can't be sure on destruction testing as I'm yet to compare these.
      However, the Allegion-owned locks use 5.4mm steel plates and a mounting system that doesn't hold the locks silent.
      Video comparison is on the way.

    • @bikelockwiki

      I don't think there is a waterproof bike lock. I'd recommend cleaning and lubricating the locking mechanism every other month to prevent any corrosion.
