    Thank you, Jesper Steffensen, very much for the great job you've done with the cutting off idle and uninteresting moments of the matches! It is a real pleasure to watch the essential moments for ~15 minutes instead of wasting more than an hour for a full match.

    is it only me or does oshima play like a hyperactive little kid, the way he moves around and his lacking mental toughness somehow reminds me of one. he is still an amazing tabletennis player, especially that one exchange was done beautifully

    Could someone explain what happened to Zhang Jike at 3:11?

    • @StefJesper
      @StefJesper  7 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      I'm guessing that the umpire thought that the ball was over the table (crossing the end line) at some point during the service. I think this is not that uncommon when serving reverse serves, but it very rarely gets called by the umpires.

      При подаче, во время касания ракеткой, шарик был НАД столом. Это потеря очка. I agree with Jesper. During the serving racket touched the ball OVER the table.

      @@imemine246 Не "НА столе" (ON the table), а "Над столом" - OVER the table... При подаче шарик должен быть НЕ над столом, а у Jike при подбросе шарика он угодил в зону "над столом"...

    what a shitty umpire! called a controversial fault at 3:11, and did nothing in 13:20? It can't be clearer in this moment that Yuya Oshima DID NOT toss the ball AT ALL!! Can I assume the umpire was bought off by Yuya's coach?

    3:14 the ball was under the whaaat???

    • @completelynew009
      @completelynew009 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Not under, it was over the table. The ITTF rule says that a serve is valid only if the ball was tossed (into the air by your hand before touching the paddle for the first time) behind the white line. Zhang tossed the ball over the table and so the umpire gave a point to Oshima.
