Thank you so much! Ficus Ginseng was my first Bonsai and I've been struggling for years to find a style that makes sense in the real world... Then lately I startet thinking about Banyan style for a new bonsai project but I have not decided what tree species to use for it. This is the perfect combination, awesome! So again, thank you!
Never liked the thick rooting systems they grow but after seeing the process you used to lessen the roots and the fused cuttings to the branches I really like the look.. Good thinking.
One solution to growing in a bigger pot, yet maintaining shallow. Our roots would be in a bigger pot, but use a ceramic tile as a false bottom so it has to go around the flat tile outwardly before it could go down further

Banyan style is honestly the only real way to go with most Ficus species and illustrates their natural look in the wild.
