I'm stoked to now have a dash cam and rearview cam in Honey my Toyota Motorhome. It should make backing up my little RV a whole lot easier. If you'd like a look inside my RV you can check it out here th-cam.com/video/daQTyiXc2sk/w-d-xo.html 😁
Hi Susan! We call it reversing in the uk :) Great little review, I like your reviews, 4k does take a lot of the memory card space, I only use 4k if I really need too 1080p all the way! Hope your well, Enjoying your videos as always x
Hi Steve! Here in Canada.. we put it into reverse to back up! 😆 Yes, 4K is too big for my storage. We are doing well, other than living in smoke. Wildfires burning close to home, but not threatening our area. Hoping it stays that way. Take care!-Sue
The app is what makes it a must have. It's nice to see what's happening from phone when your inside the rig or away. Another plus is taking pictures and recording. Thats awesome!
It is pretty cool! I’m think I’ll take the front dash cam and use it in the car camper when I travel in it. The rear one is pretty permanent though so I’ll just be able to switch the front. Excited to see what I capture with it that would be missed if I had to grab my camera! Thanks for watching!😁
The square plastic is a window cleaner before applying the camera. It's to remove dirt and prints before applying the camera mount . If you leave the plastic it will fall eventually
Jessie has mentioned a dash cam. I haven’t really looked into it much. I think for security purposes, front and back are best. The way people drive these days, almost need 360 degree cameras 😂. Ugh I hate having to download apps for things. Good idea to use it as a back up camera. We’ve never used one before either. 1080 is still real good. The quality isn’t much different on small screens. Large screens would be more noticeable. Plus the device has to be capable of viewing in 4k or there would be no difference either. It’s a who,e thing. Some people swear by 4k. But I do everything in 1080 as it’s still good quality and takes less space. Neat gadget. Hope it works well for you!
Lol! I prefer a small screen! Especially when it’s my face! My son put one of my videos on my mom’s huge tv and it was too close!!!I don’t need a huge picture of my head online! Lol!
Thanks, Deb! I'm thinking this is going to allow me to make much fewer 'in and outs' as I back Honey up. Nothing worse than hearing a crunch when you back up! Hope you, William and little Bella are doing well!
Should be handy, especially for backing up. I got another one recently that I aim, not only out the front, but out the front side of the windshield as well with the second lens so I can get images of wildlife at the side of the road. Nothing yet, but it works well.
That's a great idea! As an example..We were driving the other day, and I turned my head to look out the side window just in time to see a black bear walking along a fallen tree just off into the trees. Would have missed it completely if I hadn't looked at just that second. And those kinds of sightings are usually so quick there's no time to get out a camera. I may have to invest in a second camera! Hope you are doing well! It's sweltering here in southern BC!
@@JeffWinter1 2 years ago we also had it hot, hot, hot all summer! At least this is just a week long (or so the weatherman says). Looking forward to heading north in about a month and a 1/2.
I’ve been considering what to get if/when I need to replace my primary vehicle and a backup camera is at the top of my list. I have that plus heated seats and Sirius XM radio in my current car and I’m absolutely spoiled! I imagine you will soon come to treasure the back facing camera if you haven’t already. 😎
Hi Gregory!, I just got a new-to-me vehicle and it has heated seats, back up camera and Sirius too! I do feel rather spoiled driving it, so I understand completely! Honey, being the age she is, has no bells or whistles, lol! But she purrs like a kitten anyways!I'm really looking forward to taking Homey out and giving this camera. good try. TFW, as always!
Hi and thanks for asking! To answer your question, it would depend on your vehicle. Most 12-volt cigarette lighter plugins do not work when the vehicle is not running. So as long as yours does not stay ‘powered’ when your vehicle is not running, it will not drain your battery. We have 2 plugins in our Dodge Ram truck. One of them is on all the time, one isn’t. Best to check yours when the vehicle is off rather than assuming. Hope this helps!

Dash cams are cool, now we'll be able to see some of the beauty on your road trips from a different perspective
Does that make me one of the cool kids now!?!?😁I’m hoping to catch some great scenery and critters! We shall see! Thanks for watching, Wiley!
That will come in handy on your travels especially the backup camera. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful weekend
Thanks Stacie! You guys enjoy the weekend too! Any plans?
Very cool! I bet that will be very handy when backing up for sure. 😊😊
I think so too! I'm always terrified I'll back into something out of my vision. Thanks for watching, Angela!

Nice cameras. You’re going to wonder what you did without one for so long. Your volume was real wacky. Great review!
Yes, you’re probably right, lol! Sorry about the volume. I thought I had it all levelled out, but obviously not😫
@@HoneyandMe volume is always the thing I screw up. I’ll upload, watch, and then have to fix the volume and upload it again. So, I get it.

Yes indeed! We gotta stay current. I am doing good & thanks for your well wishes.

@HoneyandMe Yes, my buddy in Prince George says this summer's been a broiler. Stay cool. The cabin ought to be a relief this fall.

If I leave it plugged in, will it drain my car battery when I turn off the car and stop driving?
