One little thing I learned (mistake committed) when installing the rear dash cam is, stick it within the wiper clearing zone. I stuck it slightly above and now when it rains, the video recording is blurry for rear footage

Would you recommend getting it hard wired into your car ? Or is the plug-in sufficient? if I’m using just the plug and I missing out on any features? I just got this cam for Christmas and excited to set it up. Thank you so much!
Nice video! I used the same hardwire kit, used a multimeter to see which fuses are switched and which ones are always live. Connected it appropriately, but now my dashcam never turns off..
@@samsaltwell No man, there are two ways the camera may run when the car is off depending on how it’s wired in the fuse box. It can either be recording in real time (which drains the battery faster) or where it takes a photo ever second.
@@oasnapI think the problem is caused by not using the right hardwire kit. The ignition signal does not seem to reach the camera properly with other kits. You can get the right one via GKU.
Can we keep rhe cigar socket in even after parking the car? It looks like theres light on the cigar socket even the eingine is off, but itll turn off eventually? Or would it he using battery or something that its better to remove from the cigar socket? No hard wires or anything i did just power from the cigar socket

Simon - One of the best TH-cam videos I've seen. Got 2 D600 dash cams, and your video helped a lot. Unfortunately in my wife's car she has Apple CarPlay and I believe it's interfering with accessing the dash cam. Have tried turning off Bluetooth and Mobile data on the mobile, but still not able to access the dash cam. Any ideas please ? Stuart

Did you use the supplied "electrostatic" clear film squares (deckled edges) on the windows prior to sticking the camera with the supplied 3m adhesive square? Some other videos show the poster using those and some don't. My kit jus t arrived from Amazon today and I plan to install into my 2013 Honda Civic (four door sedan) on the weekend. I'm fairly confident about doing the install but just trying to see if those things were necessary. Hoping I might get away without using them. I do plan to power the camera and look at the view (via the JarvisCam App) before I mount in it's final position. Thank you for any suggestions you may have.
They're useful especially if your car is tinted but use them anyway as they'll protect the glass of your car. It'll be easy to take them off should you ever need to!

As far as I am aware this camera will record in 4k if you are not using the rear camera, if the rear camera is connected you only get 2.5k front and 1080p rear.
the app stop working saying connection failed and even connected with cam wifi saying No internet connection. i had changed fused later (hardware kit) and password in my phone which was before 12345 regular
Hello, If any help, it will be great. I emailed the company several times and no reply. I had this camera for over an year. All of sudden, the password is invalid. I tried several times to reset the password with no avail. I can't access the video or ensure the cameras are aligned correctly. Sometimes, the front camera drops and records the hood (which is useless).

Like several of the other apple users in the comments we couldn’t get ours working with our iPhone 15 with the latest IOS. Tried removing app a couple of times and also forgetting wifi network. We could connect to wifi network but get no further. Instructions were poorly worded with spelling mistakes. We didn’t try support but by the sound of the other comments that would have been wasted. It was a present so we couldn’t do any research. If you can’t get the app to work with your phone it’s a brick. This one is going back to Amazon tomorrow. Buyer beware.
I can't connect Dash Cam WIFI while I use my car WIFI which I need for Calling/Whatsapp/Spotify/Google Maps and so on, that's why this Dash Cam is useless for cars with a bit on newer technology.
OMG. I have the same issue! I can't use any other apps while wi fi dash cam is on. I contacted to Amazon seller and says "it is the first time we get this inquiry. We sold more than 100 cameras. Check your phone settings." I have question about this.. What should I do for phone setting???
@jennylee8283 there is nothing to check, both wifi dash cam and Android Auto are not working, I sent mine back and I bought Viofo A119 V3 without wifi and works perfectly.
Disappointed, the camera doesn't have a flashing light. My van camera has a flashing blue light on front and rear. This would deter car thieves. This is the GKU D600PRO.

@@oasnap Fix it? Having the dashcam running 24 hours a day is the whole point of using the hardwire kit (apart from aesthetics).

Oh that's weird. Try using another 12v adapter and a USB-C cable to plug into the dash cam as that should work fine.

When the sd card is full of memory do I need to buy a new one or can I delete the memory to zero and start recording again?
When the card is full the camera will automatically overwrite the old recording with the newer ones. So you dont have to to anything.
why no rear video show on app ?
