Great content. I had fuel injection problems on my 2016 euro version (no pairs system) and opted for the Hitchcocks Amal carburettor conversion kit. In conjunction with a bigger bore header pipe and short open exhaust bottle. The bike runs way better. Now I am looking to upgrade the cams like you did and install a bigger front sprocket. For the brief moment she ran great do you think the upgrades are worth the expense and effort?

Hi Rick! Thanks for the comment, are you Dutch? The best performance boost I felt on the bike was no doubt the bigger diameter header with freeflow exhaust. I also removed the PAIR system, it was just annoying, no real power increase. I am very happy with the powercommander now, will have it properly tuned in a few months. I went for the full package because I managed to buy the bike ridiculously cheap (about 1750 Euro's) with only 3400 km on the clock. This left some financial room for mods since I was planning on buying a new bike at first. The race set up takes a bit of the low end torque away and replaces it with a bit more peak performance. I wouldn't recommend anybody to go for the full race set-up unless you are 1. technically inclined 2. love to race old bikes 3. prepared to spend more money/time on repairs, maintenance and upgrades. Since I completed the mods, I have been busy with keeping the bike tip-top. It tips 160 km/h from time to time, although the engine can do it, the rest of the bike disagrees. Broken studs, engine mounts (twice!), lost a dozen of nuts despite locktite, and so on. But I love it! It's a hobby, and I know my bike inside out. I can work on it blindfolded. The next step for me is installing an updated crank assembly, long stroke. Which brings the bike to 612 cc. Biggest advantage is that the new crank is better balanced (less vibes) and is made out of better materials.

Adnane, thanks for the reply. I am indeed Dutch and living in the Netherlands. I bought mine new back in 2016 to avoid the mandatory ABS regulations that were introduced in 2017. So mine came with the drum rear brake. I’m in my early 30’s and tend to ride the Enfield quite hard. I too encountered numerous issues ranging from short circuits (both fuel pump issues and general wiring loom) to mechanical failures like snapping the rear engine mount twice. I think the latter has to do with the rear swingarm being too loose in the frame. After torquing it up and applying Locktite in generous amounts it did not happen to me anymore. In total i have covered nearly 16.000 kilometers on the bike and took it around Ireland, Scotland and Northern Italy. The thing I want to achieve with the cam upgrade kit in combination with the bigger sprocket is more highway capable cruising speeds. Not aiming for 160kph but cruising at 100 to 110kph with some power to spare would be nice. And if my engine will fail at one point (or when it is due for a rebuild) I too will be going for the Hitchcocks stroker crank assembly. I really enjoy your channel and subscribed, keep up the good work!

How much power did you actually get from all your models once you ran it on the Dyno?

Hi! 0hp. The crank gave up before I could get a dyno run. Full engine rebuild soon

@@bb-ballistics1706 it definitely sucks. It was a weak point. Combined with my riding style it was a bit too much. New vid about what & how it happened coming soon

Shinko E804/805 combo. 110/80/19 at the front and 120/90/18 at the rear. I had to modify my rear suspension (taller) and adjust the front mudguard to make it work.
