Has Colt fixed the loose sight that will not hold windage adjustments? Sad that owners have to resort to the additional purchase of Wilson Combat’s after market sight. But thank goodness Bill Wilson has provided that option.
Justin : The COLT website has been a train wreck for years and I cannot believe no one at the company has taken the minimal effort to clean it up. Specifically I refer to the Details section and the Specs section for the pistols and revolvers. With some models you will list : weight , type of sights , finish , finish type , approx 19 specs will be listed While with other models you may list only 3 specs - barrel length , capacity and action. I would think that having the same spec headings for every pistol or revolver would greatly assist potential customers , as well as give a more professional look.
Keep in mind this is a grail gun… it’s a Colt Python - it’s supposed to be a luxury -- for what it’s worth I have one, and if you’re not in a spot to drop the $1500, the ruger gp100 is a better revolver in most respects 👌
It is compared to a new Smith or Ruger, but it's about what you would have paid for a new one when they were in production. E.g., when introduced in 1955 they were priced at $125. That's roughly $1,400+ in today's dollars. The Model 27 was about the same price as the Colt when it was introduced in 1935 (adjusted for inflation). Is it worth that to you? Maybe not. My question is how much would you have to sink into a Smith or Ruger to make it as nice as a Python. If you could pull it off for less than the price difference then maybe it is comparatively overpriced.
Hope CZ does not destroy the 3” model too like they did with the latest blued version. It’s just horrible!! 3 vents.. and still a bloody 4.25” barrel rather than a proper 4”
Just got mine, taking it to the range today
A nice gun.
The 3 inch barrel always seemed more appropriate for a full size revolver than shorter or longer ones.
Colt rep needs to work on his game. That was brutal to watch.

Good for daily carry over a 686+?
@@soundsnags2001 Both would be a great carry piece 🇺🇸
@@soundsnags2001 Smith go bang every time. Colt not so much. Purty, but would you bet your life on it?
Nice, was there ever any thought about adding a rail underneath?
Can we have one with fixed sights????

Pyramid is the most common type
If you a can’t afford it get a peasant gun like a ruger or Smith 😂😂😂😂😂😂
$1500.00, get over yourselves Colt.
I thought you guys made them until 1999, and custom shopped them until 2004?? That would be 16-21 years. 34 years that would be 1986. Interesting.
This guy seems so unsure of what he is saying lol
