It regularly trains the UK, US troops in its High Altitude Mountain Warfare School in the Himalayas. 2. India has fought 5 wars since Independence against Pakistan and China and continuously conducts anti insurgency operations so it's fighting fit with great mountain and counter insurgency experience 3. India has some of the greatest warrior races such as Sikhs, Rajputs, Marathas, Gorkhas, Nagas, Garhwali etc

Bharat also added domestic LCA Tejas to its list of fighter jets, P-8 submarine hunters from Boeing, Predator drones from General Atomics, S400 defense systems, domestic made aircraft carrier, AK203 rifles from Russia, etc. India also has its own GPS systems called NAVIC probably better than US GPS but very limited area of coverage and came up with its own OS recently to remove cyber threats. Just bought an Oral-B 10 toothbrush for 700 rupees here in UK; same thing costs about 140 in India. Made me wonder about these budgetary "figures". Spending fewer Billions in India doesnt really mean we are not spending enough on our services. I think proportionately India is doin just fine! A can of Fanta costs almost 80 rupees in UK but in India its about 40! Something to think about!

According to the official account from 1980 till date, there have been more than 100 terror attacks in India. Jammu and Kashmir is the most affected area and seen these attacks (I don't want to say more about it cause there will be unnecessary debate) there were more but thanks to the Brave and Selfless Soldiers we have been safe. The most which has affected the Indian Citizens are the ones deep within our borders - the 1993 Mumbai Serial Blast (13 Blasts at different locations), 2001 Parliament House Attack, 2006 Mumbai Train Blasts (7 Serials Blast in different trains), 2013 again Mumbai Blasts (3 Blasts) and the worst which shook India was 26/11 2008 Mumbai Attacks which is often compared with the 9/11 of US. Mumbai which is the Financial and Entertainment Capital has seen overall 14 attacks but thanks to our Defence and Police Services we have been safe I commend them. This led to the formation of FORCE ONE in Mumbai which is equivalent to SWAT of the LA. Again this is not to make you emotional these are facts so that you get the perspective cause there will be comments which will be emotional for us Indians. Truth is that Indian military has high end technology in increasingly higher proportion of its kit. In fact, compared to the UK, there are some technologically advanced stuff India has that UK just does not:- 1.) Anti-Satellite Missiles and a Space Tracking Network (India demonstrated this in 2019 by shooting down a live satellite). Tech all developed in-house by India. 2.) Ballistic Missile Defence system (India has a three-tier system meanwhile UK only has one BMD radar and no interceptor missiles, even that BMD radar is there thanks to 3.) Cooperative Engagement Capability in the Indian Navy (third Navy after USA and France to demonstrate this capability) 4.) India has a much more advanced anti-ship missile as its primary fleet weapon compared to what the Royal Navy has. The Indian missile (BrahMos) is supersonic and can fly out to thrice the distance that the Royal Navy's subsonic missile can. 5.) India has a full fledged space program with its own GPS (called NavIC) and its own network of satellites, space probes and an upcoming human spaceflight capability with a stated goal of a permanent Lunar outpost. Compared to UK's much smaller space program that has no space launch capability. Satellite constellations are a strategic military capability. And now, India is developing advanced stuff like Quantum Communication satellites (will be launched next year), co-orbital killer satellites, a dedicated space launch vehicle for wartime launching of military space payloads, etc. A full fledged space warfare capability. UK is far behind here. 6.) Indian Integrated Air Defence System which includes a complex network of AESA radars like the HPR, MPR Arudhra and various LLTR and an entire range of CIWS and SAM systems like the L&T Sudarshan, QRSAM, MR-SAM Barak-8, S-400 and XR-SAM. All of this is further integrated into one giant network much of which is jam resistant due to it being optical fiber cable based. India also holds the world record for using commercial optical fiber cables for Quantum Key Distribution.. UK, although modernizing with systems like Land Ceptor, is still behind. 7.) Indian Coastal Security is just lightyears ahead of UK coastal security. Although this is more of a capability thing than a technology thing. We just have more equipment in this area. Like more than 10 times more in not only sheer numbers but also types. Then there is stuff where we are neck-neck with the UK in right now, or we are ahead and UK is just about to catch up:- 1.) Exascale Supercomputers. India is making its own with its own designed microchips, interconnects, motherboards, etc. Mind you, humanity breached the Exascale mark only in 2020. You might argue that it isn't a military capability, but it actually is. 2.) Scramjet-based Hypersonic technology. India has two parallel programs and both have been actually flight tested. UK meanwhile is putting in the money and has an interesting concept of the SABRE. 3.) AESA radar on our fighters. Indian fighter jets like the HAL Tejas and the Jaguar and Su-30 MKI are getting an AESA radar before the much vaunted RAF Typhoons. 4.) Ramjet-based Air-Air missiles (Both of us have Meteor air-air missile, and India is further developing its own Solid Fueled Ducted Ramjet technology, prototypes have already flown). 5.) Boeing P-8 Anti-Submarine Warfare planes, Sea Guardian drones, AH-64E Apache and K-9 Self-Propelled Howitzers. We got them all before you, but this is advanced stuff that we both have. Moreover, ALL Apache airframes have been built in India since last 4-5 years. And India has an entire factory making the K-9 SPGs whereas UK doesn't. 6.) ASRAAM This British air-air missile is the standard in both RAF and IAF. The only parts of the UK military that will arguably continue to be better than the Indian military in terms of technological capability post-2030 would be:- 1.) F-35B fighter (mainly because India's own 5th gen fighter AMCA is still under development) 2.) Nuclear Submarines (while India has them, UK's are quieter and more numerous). 3.) Tanks (Chally 2 is better than an Indian-made T-90 in most metrics except for cost and missile firing capability). 4.) Aircraft Carriers (We both have two, but UK's are bigger, although India is already starting work on a third carrier while UK isn't). TL;DR people be underestimating India way too much. India is developing a full-spectrum military capability that only USA, Russia and China are developing. Countries like UK usually piggy back on either European or US efforts/assets in many of these strategic areas like Space Warfare and Ballistic Missile Defence. Now look at India's superior numbers in the backdrop of this technology. I wouldn't be surprised if by the end of the decade, India moves up to rank 3 globally, leaving Russia behind.

Just bought an Oral-B 10 toothbrush for 700 rupees here in UK; same thing costs about 140 in India. Made me wonder about these budgetary "figures". Spending fewer Billions in India doesnt really mean we are not spending enough on our services. I think proportionately India is doin just fine! FACT: We got Independence in 1947 and the Country was divided into three parts (I see some resemblance in ISREAL too Britts *uck up everywhere). According to the official account from 1980 till date, there have been more than 100 terror attacks in India. Jammu and Kashmir is the most affected area and seen these attacks (I don't want to say more about it cause there will be unnecessary debate) there were more but thanks to the Brave and Selfless Soldiers we have been safe. The most which has affected the Indian Citizens are the ones deep within our borders - the 1993 Mumbai Serial Blast (13 Blasts at different locations), 2001 Parliament House Attack, 2006 Mumbai Train Blasts (7 Serials Blast in different trains), 2013 again Mumbai Blasts (3 Blasts) and the worst which shook India was 26/11 2008 Mumbai Attacks which is often compared with the 9/11 of US. Mumbai which is the Financial and Entertainment Capital has seen overall 14 attacks but thanks to our Defence and Police Services we have been safe I commend them. This led to the formation of FORCE ONE in Mumbai which is equivalent to SWAT of the LA. Again this is not to make you emotional these are facts so that you get the perspective cause there will be comments which will be emotional for us Indians. REST ASSURED TODAY's INDIA IS SAFE TO TRAVEL 🖖

Truth is that Indian military has high end technology in increasingly higher proportion of its kit. In fact, compared to the UK, there are some technologically advanced stuff India has that UK just does not:-
1.) Anti-Satellite Missiles and a Space Tracking Network (India demonstrated this in 2019 by shooting down a live satellite). Tech all developed in-house by India.
2.) Ballistic Missile Defence system (India has a three-tier system meanwhile UK only has one BMD radar and no interceptor missiles, even that BMD radar is there thanks to
3.) Cooperative Engagement Capability in the Indian Navy (third Navy after USA and France to demonstrate this capability)
4.) India has a much more advanced anti-ship missile as its primary fleet weapon compared to what the Royal Navy has. The Indian missile (BrahMos) is supersonic and can fly out to thrice the distance that the Royal Navy's subsonic missile can.
5.) India has a full fledged space program with its own GPS (called NavIC) and its own network of satellites, space probes and an upcoming human spaceflight capability with a stated goal of a permanent Lunar outpost. Compared to UK's much smaller space program that has no space launch capability. Satellite constellations are a strategic military capability. And now, India is developing advanced stuff like Quantum Communication satellites (will be launched next year), co-orbital killer satellites, a dedicated space launch vehicle for wartime launching of military space payloads, etc. A full fledged space warfare capability. UK is far behind here.
6.) Indian Integrated Air Defence System which includes a complex network of AESA radars like the HPR, MPR Arudhra and various LLTR and an entire range of CIWS and SAM systems like the L&T Sudarshan, QRSAM, MR-SAM Barak-8, S-400 and XR-SAM. All of this is further integrated into one giant network much of which is jam resistant due to it being optical fiber cable based. India also holds the world record for using commercial optical fiber cables for Quantum Key Distribution.. UK, although modernizing with systems like Land Ceptor, is still behind.
7.) Indian Coastal Security is just lightyears ahead of UK coastal security. Although this is more of a capability thing than a technology thing. We just have more equipment in this area. Like more than 10 times more in not only sheer numbers but also types.
Then there is stuff where we are neck-neck with the UK in right now, or we are ahead and UK is just about to catch up:-
1.) Exascale Supercomputers. India is making its own with its own designed microchips, interconnects, motherboards, etc. Mind you, humanity breached the Exascale mark only in 2020. You might argue that it isn't a military capability, but it actually is.
2.) Scramjet-based Hypersonic technology. India has two parallel programs and both have been actually flight tested. UK meanwhile is putting in the money and has an interesting concept of the SABRE.
3.) AESA radar on our fighters. Indian fighter jets like the HAL Tejas and the Jaguar and Su-30 MKI are getting an AESA radar before the much vaunted RAF Typhoons.
4.) Ramjet-based Air-Air missiles (Both of us have Meteor air-air missile, and India is further developing its own Solid Fueled Ducted Ramjet technology, prototypes have already flown).
5.) Boeing P-8 Anti-Submarine Warfare planes, Sea Guardian drones, AH-64E Apache and K-9 Self-Propelled Howitzers. We got them all before you, but this is advanced stuff that we both have. 3.) Tanks (Chally 2 is better than an Indian-made T-90 in most metrics except for cost and missile firing capability).
4.) Aircraft Carriers (We both have two, but UK's are bigger, although India is already starting work on a third carrier while UK isn't).
TL;DR people be underestimating India way too much. India is developing a full-spectrum military capability that only USA, Russia and China are developing. Countries like UK usually piggy back on either European or US efforts/assets in many of these strategic areas like Space Warfare and Ballistic Missile Defence. Now look at India's superior numbers in the backdrop of this technology. I wouldn't be surprised if by the end of the decade, India moves up to rank 3 globally, leaving Russia behind.
