I have a hard wired DSC 832 with this exact keypad. I bought this house from an elderly couple that stopped using the alarm over a decade ago because one of the zones (door trigger) went out, and they have since forgot the code. The company that installed it is long gone, so there is no way to figure out what the master or any of the codes are. I have called a couple of companies to come out, but most are not familiar with it, and want to "upgrade" me into a wireless system. My previous home had a hardwired system, and I never had a single problem with it. Plus this house is huge and would cost a lot to put a new system into it. So how do I figure out how to discover or preferably change the existing master code so I can get my system working properly?
If you know the installer code, you can reprogram the master code. Otherwise, you need the master code. You can default the panel, but then would have to reprogram everything. If you know who installed it or who was monitoring it, you may be able to get the installer code. Factory installer code is 5010 for 832. Hope this helps.
It looks like your reply disappeared. If I punch in 5010 as the installer code and it works, how do I then reset the unknown master code? Maybe the way you do it on the video?
If you have a trouble light, press *2 and see what lights are lit. If the 1 light is lit, press 1 and see what lights are lit. Let me know what lights are on and I can tell you what the trouble is.

How do I find out what my master code is?
whoever programmed your alarm may know it, or can change it.
