They are beautiful, smart and curious beings. Developing a relationship with wild deer takes a long time. They learn what our schedule is and are always sitting outside our door when we get home from work. We are actually able to call out to them by name , and they will come running out of the woods in response. They seem to understand human emotion and show concern when we are upset about something, and will only leave our side when we reassure them that we are just fine. Our deer are our best friends, and it is hard to imagine life without them.
SusanScrapPassion are you sure they are that smart? What about them getting hit by a car. They just run for it. But the rest of the stuff you said are true.
They have taken the kitchen and the dining room. We have barred the bathroom but cannot hold them for long. The ground shakes...hooves, hooves in the house. We cannot get out. The shadow moves in the dark. We cannot get out. The end comes soon..... They are coming.

This makes me miss my “pet” deer! I believe it was 2008, Found her when she was a baby, her mother was hit by a car with her body in the middle of the road. my grandfather moved her to the ditch and found the baby, so he decided to take her home that night. Raised her on baby formula and kept her in the house, eventually we released her outside when she could eat feed herself with feed/grass, since we lived in the country and on my grandfathers land, we knew if she stayed on it, she wouldn’t get hunted. She disappeared for a week but came back early in the morning for feed! She kept coming back for food everyday, sometimes bringing friends with her. She was friendly with people and let us pet her but she was still wild. She had babies every spring, she wouldn’t let you touch them but she’d let you get close, it was cute until I moved away from the country to the city in 2010. My grandparents never saw her again around in 2017, so she may not be alive anymore but this vid brings back my childhood. :) So update as of 2021: We know she has passed of 2017 because I learned my grandfather went out into the woods one day (I asked if he ever knew what happened to her) and saw remains of a female deer on the side of the road near his land. But I hear till today her oldest offspring still come around but are not fully okay with humans like her but they don’t run away if you approach them but they don’t like getting touched. Is fun to see that that her offspring are bringing their offspring to his porch and feeding. Her oldest offspring are quite old but she had twins, a doe and a buck. They come around separately but don’t mind you sitting near them or watching them. I learned this as of last month when visiting my grandparents and seeing her old “babies”. I just don't understand why you said it. You responded as if the original comment was suggesting that this guy was domesticating deer. He never said that. To me, it doesn't even seem as if he was suggesting it. You obviously can't domesticate an already living animal. Pet and feed them. The only other thing that needs to be done is setting boundaries. Thus, pet them for generations.

Thank you for sharing. I live in Cornwall on a quiet piece of land right next to the sea and surrounded by farm and woodland. I often get visits from a solitary Doe and after 6 months of getting to know me, she now lets me stroke her and takes Apples straight from my hand. They are so precious. How wonderful to have a friendship with such beautiful, gentle souls. We live with cottontails with whom we have a similar arrangement. They come and go as they please, but they interact with us as if we are part of their social group. They are surprisingly intelligent, though in a completely alien-to-human way. @Mungo Munro You don't read your bible, God installed fear into all animals for their own protection and survival. Read up on the subject before trying to insult others.
@86sith I was trying to humanize animals by saying they want love? You do know that animals some animals do indact expression their emotions, happiness, sadness, fear, etc. Elephants, dolphins, Dogs, cats, seals.
@@PelorianPages thank you. I could not understand where to look to find this. This link actually helps. Much appreciated friend. I'll begin more research on this front. Be at peace my good man.
@@1angelicdemon1 I think ASMR may be a real factor, but our short videos are also so calming for two other reasons: 1) we have to take a little credit for making a simple storyline and editing the video to capture that narrative, and 2) deer are such "zen-like" animals that just watching them makes you feel more relaxed and centered. What is interesting, we've found, is that they really can seem "spiritual" in some sense, but in actuality, they are 99% wild creatures but intelligent enough that they develop individual personalities. Life within the herd is pretty brutal. They are always competing within their hierarchy, and even though they appear gentle, we've seen a mother deer attack a lone coyote that wandered away from it's pack, and we've heard of neighbors say that sometimes a deer will attack a small dog if the dog is too aggressive. Not to take you out of a relaxed mood too much, but check out this amusing video of our deer friend Rosie who decided it was her job to rid the yard of a "pesky" raccoon: th-cam.com/video/odAlDDQHgoU/w-d-xo.html
Oh I can agree with you on that front. What peaks my interest is the breaking of the status quo is that normally deer are quite quick at heading off in the distance showing great fear from humans due to our past history with both of our kind and theirs. To see peace forged between the two and having trust being established feels kinda like a fairy tale coming true. I guess this is taboo to me because my grandad (God rest his spirit) was an avid hunter, but to see this. It helps to bring a tear to my right eye and I guess that's where the pleasure nerve is hit. I like it and I applaud and approve this. You have done a fantastic job and once again i thank you for this side of life is revealed. Please continue to on what you are doing. 👏👏👏❤❤❤👏👏👏🍻🍻🍻
@@1angelicdemon1 We do get a lot snarky comments from hunters who like to make fun of us, but not all hunters feel that way. A lot of our friends in the neighborhood are hunters. They have no problem driving some miles away to where hunting is legal, and they love having these neighborhood deer feeling safe enough to enjoy visiting everyone's lawns. My hunter friends really enjoy seeing largely carefree deer. Years ago we got an email from a native American elder who showed our videos to his son before he took his son on his first deer hunt. He loved that we had a kind of respect for these majestic animals, and he wanted his son to see the prey as not just food, but a part of life that we should fully appreciate.
This tells a lot about you sir! The environment that you’ve chosen to live in, the back ground music, your love and respect to God’s creatures, etc... The animals and even the (so-called) lifeless particles in the nature are intelligent and receiving the vibe of your soul and heart, which spreads and settles down around your physical presence. This is how we were created and supposed to live on this beautiful, gifted and vulnerable planet. Salute to you brother and to the beauty of the humanity! 🌺🌸❤️

Be careful with deer, don’t wanna deal with Lyme disease. They are cool animals tho
Far less common out West
lyme comes from ticks not deer
I'm pretty sure he's aware of that.
And deer are loaded with ticks ,I can't take a stroll in the woods without getting few on me so imagine if you lived in the woods all the time.
Just keep the ticks off, and you won't get lyme. :)
Something to love in this chaotic world.
"You're a Didney Princess Harry!"
A connection to nature and the wild animals is a surreal feeling.
nothing is more majestic than being able to pet a wild deer
Just some deer hanging out with buddha and an apatosaurus.
What????!!!!
I was thinking it was a diplodocus, but I could be wrong. In any case, he might have lived around here, a bit before I moved in.
a leftover from the Jurassic
When you so chilled everything wants a piece of the tranquility.
Deer provide so much to a wide variety of people, comfort, and food
That poor buck in the background at 1:35, trying to scratch between his antlers. Suzie looks at him like, "jealous?"
What a heartwarming video.
Huh, never thought a deer would ask to get its nose squished XD that’s so great
The deer and elk at my parents cabin wont let you pet them but will eat out of your hand .
You have something very special there Mr.
How wonderful to experience these special moments 😊 Deer are so beautiful 🥰🥰💗💗
Most animals want to be loved, a lot don't because they're afraid but most do.
@Mungo Munro
That's why a lot are scared
@Johnny Nemo
Where did i say deers are harmless???
@Mungo Munro
You don't read your bible, God installed fear into all animals for their own protection and survival. Read up on the subject before trying to insult others.
@86sith
You call me a hippie but in the same sentence also cape for animals at the same time. Ugh you people are a headache.
@86sith
I was trying to humanize animals by saying they want love? You do know that animals some animals do indact expression their emotions, happiness, sadness, fear, etc. Elephants, dolphins, Dogs, cats, seals.
Those are some very strange dogs, still cute tho, more scratches in the future for them
For some odd reason I kinda feel better after watching this. its euphoriclly opening and calming

🌺🌸❤️
All the deer @ the beginning are sitting there like ‘Yoo man your dealer said he would be here like an hour agoooo’
Yoo man we've been waiting for that high grade moss you guys are growing here...
Did you just put @ instead of at?

"I basically have pet deer."
"Oh that's cute, you raised them from hand!?"
"Actually, no..."
"W-what?"
"They were never fed from hand, or had human interaction when they were younger."
"Oh, so... What?"
"They got curious about me and learned I was safe. I tamed wild deer."

You’re definitely a “deer whisperer”!
I love this, I would spend so much time just hanging out with them😍
Wow man this property looks so peaceful. I would love to drop some shrooms and love on all of nature, hugging trees and petting deer
I am amazed by how rural houses, small towns and suburbs are seeing deer who aren't afraid to come up to the inhabitants and socialize with people.
Everyone on TH-cam is getting to know their deer now a days.
chronic wasting disease. look it up
@@JackofAllSpadess nah mate. Not every calm animal has super aids.
