Followed the instructions almost exactly and everything worked out great. To other beginners: take your time and have enough space. Took me 3 hours but it was a great journey and the Ps4Pro is whisper silent even with games like AC Odyssey.
A question or doubt: is the silver box that surrounds the processor aluminum? Because if it is aluminum, the liquid metal will corrode it eventually, damaging the plate. Have you taken that into account? A way should be found to encapsulate the liquid metal properly.
Is, it is aluminum, but for the LM to reach it you have to use a lot of it. I've done this on multiple gpus, 3 playstations 4's and 2 pro's. Use correct amount and the worst you'l get is tiny niblets flowing of the die and at worst flowing a couple of mm away from it.
Use Noctua NT-H2 or Arctic MX-6. I’ve personally used both and it’s kept my ps4 pro relatively quiet. Although I’ve heard the NT-H2 can pump out because it’s not that viscous, and MX-6 is pretty thick and designed for direct die cooling.
@@porkysoda5899 I put Arctic MX-4 in my friends ps4 and mine. Around my area I help revive my friends consoles. But the mx-4 seems pretty good. It's been keeping my ps4 quiet!
@@porkysoda5899 Guess it's time to switch thermal paste. Last i check the new fan i installed ramps up immediately for some reason after i turn on the PS4 (Original, CUH-1003A). I thoroughly cleaned it so it's really a wonder to me why the fan ramps up speed and the console heats up fast as well (not yet to the point it beeps and power off but it's pretty hot)...I'm using a pretty cheap thermal paste (Allan thermal paste, forgot what it exactly called). Bought it because the contents are of higher amounts than others on the market and because i'm always on tight budget. I'll probably switch to Arctic MX4 or 6, i might also need thermal pads.
Hello. I'm sorry, but can someone please explain if I should be worried or not? In short: I decided to remove the cooler in order to clean it and part of the radiator, but now it seems that part of the air from the bottom (if we consider the vertical orientation) does not come out or comes out weakly, the air itself has become not so hot, the flow is probably less intense, and from the top (again speaking about vertical orientation) - cold air comes out, although, as I understand it, from there, on the contrary, it should come in. Haven't noticed a change in performance yet, but I'm paranoid so I'm worried. Perhaps a stupid question, but I want to understand if everything is fine and could I somehow damage something, such as contacts?
It might be you haven't secured thr heat sink in properly or the fan isn't aligned properly. I'd take it apart and look for an obstruction. No need to panic just check it's all aligned right 😁

My PS4Pro is like a jet plane while playing GOW Ragnarok to the point that it is very annoying (ambient temp 28). Can this process help?

Does og ps4/ps4 slim can use liquid metal?
No. Because the og ps4 and the ps4 slim have aluminum based heatsinks whereas the ps4 pro uses copper based heatsink.
@@Zero_aura12 thx bro
I do not see any link in the description for the 2nd Gen PS4 pro.

Liquid metal on PS4 Pro??? Seems a little risky to me. I would rather use thermal paste. Im very interested in the results.

@@porkysoda5899 Or Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut.
Risky on anything, not just the Ps4 pro.
