I accidentally broke the plastic parts around the sensor while trying to pull out the sensor. I think they fell inside. should I be worried? I can't see it from the top. should i take it all apart? 1:48
Could you not do an Egr clean or replace on this model engine...All vauxhall forums crying out for good clear video as your spot on..Proper common problem throwing P0401 Code...As mine showing...Cheers👍🏻
I have the exact same issue on the wife's astra which is the same as yours . Did this fix the issue ? It's already had a boost controller changed at vauxhall and was ok for 6 months and is now back to its old tricks again
No, still came back.I suspected the dpf was blocked with ash. I sprayed oven cleaning foam in the lambda/sensor hole… left it for a few hours, flushed it out with some water. Light/limp not come back on and had more power overall.

@@soufianeshna8013 I had the same problem, cleaning the egr valve did not help. I had to disassemble the entire egr block and clean the exhaust gas cooler.

Ive got this exact code on my 2007 Ford Galaxy, turbo under-boost P0299, Ive checked for leaks and couldn’t find any. Will try giving the map sensor a clean. Mine brings on the eml but after driving a few days with the light on it resets itself then a few days later does it again. Driving normally its fine but flooring it in 3rd gear tends to bring the light on. Any ideas what else this could be ?
Please don't use WD40 as a lubricant. It reacts badly with the vast majority of seals causing them to swell up and can hasten their demise. Use water (saliva) or a sensor safe lubricant on the seal, if you really need to lubricate it, or you'll be returning to the job diagnosing an airleak in a few months because the seal has perished prematurely.
Did this yesterday, the sensor was also thick with soot. So far so good.

Thanks for the comment. In the video I clean it with brake cleaner, I didn’t suggest to or use water or wd40 to clean it. 👍

My 1.6 cdti have very strange,knocking sound first few minutes,but only when car accelerates. Can that be bad injectors?

That code points to the egr, without seeing the car, it’s impossible to tell, has it been cleaned, or replaced?

Most of the times the chicane between the egr and intake is filled with all the glonk u saw on the sensor. If the symptom is low flow.
