  • Episode 160 covers the topic of body doubling, a tool many ADHDers use to get stuff done. As usual, Alex the Psycho.......education Monkey delivers the evidence behind the subject, all three ADHD Adults give their personal reflections and tips on body doubling, and then we answer your questions in the final section. 'What has James lost, forgotten or mislaid this week?" returns with James surging ahead at 10-7 for the season, The Metrics Intern continues telling us about the cities we have listeners in. James gets to practice his little beep-button, Alex is finally a fake Professor and Mrs ADHD has smashed her gyro ball...

Fantastic as always, thank you! Re the memory question, yes, memories about others are sometimes clearer. I wonder if some memories remain incredibly clear due to RSD making us hyper aware in a situation, so that memories imprint very clearly. It's a bit like memories from a time of trauma. They can pop up during other times of RSD or stress and bring back all the vivid emotions.
Re driving: I think sometimes driving becomes a hyperfocusfor me. Anger with idiots on the road is easier to cope with if I invent derogatory names for them, particularly using the letters and numbers on their car plates. At least the anger doesn't last long, and it stimulates even more focus! 😃

Bugger me, I was literally (Alex 😂) just thinking about not remembering my life and wondering if it's my adhd, autobiographical memory is a good name for it.
Bow I better rewind and watch it properly.
Great work as usual you three

Thanks all- who I consider my besties! You really are! Can't imagine getting on with BDoubling at all. Though my partner would!
Off topic- for @MrsADHD- on PDMM/PSM I'm just looking into bio identical progesterone and hearing from others who also take meds for ADHD that higher doses of bio P ARE helping all round. Sam- can we get another podcast and more around this please? It seems a lot of research was done pre launch of SSRIs. Anyway- anything you all can look into and share?
