Regarding ADHDers not liking bright light: Recent studies seem to indicate than lighter coloured eyes (blue, green etc) may be an evolutionary adaptation to low light conditions. People with lighter eyes see better in low light, however, bright light makes them squint. I wonder if the reason ADHDers are more likely to report sensitivity to light might be because most countries that are rich enough to test people for ADHD have higher numbers of light eyed people. Privileged white folks (of which I am one) and all that. PS, loving the podcasts, the 3 of you are awesome.

Thanks for another great episode, you never fail to make me laugh, and you always make me feel better about who I am.
This episode is very timely for me as I have an (overdue) appointment with my optician on Friday.
I don’t know if my eye issues are adhd related but I have such a problem with them, especially with wearing contact lenses, which is essential for my job.
I’ve annoyed all of the opticians in my local area so much (that might be my RSD), that I now do a 250 mile round trip to see an optician because he’s family and has more patience with me, so far anyway!
I’m writing this a few hours after I watched it so have forgotten everything you all said, but I think there were some things I can mention to my optician, I guess I’ll have to watch it again and make some notes 😄

I struggle with colours, which is a pain as I work in a school. I'm not colour blind, but I don't notice colours. I get red and blue confused, and if information on paper is colour coded I really struggle to understand what I'm reading. And classrooms organised by colour drive me potty.
