I agree with many of the previous comments, I prefer this format since I want to follow along and learn something. The live events are so much start and stop to chat with people when you try to follow along, they also tend to be on hours I can't join so I still have to watch the replay later. Then I can understand that chatting part, it's kind of nice to connect but not when trying to learn colouring at the same time. :)
Love the hair color, simply fabulous. I don't go to Livestreams, there are a few I watch back. For the most part I find alot of them talk more than color. I prefer videos like this. I know I'm in the minority on that. It must be hard to chat and color, but as I said there are a few who can pull it off.

Example I join Mojna Gates live every Wednesday as part of my Patreon membership with her and the live tutorials are alot of fun!! It's like ladies night out or something 🤣 It's cool hearing the voice addressing people by name when she's answering questions we write in the chat box etc I also like that we can ask her questions while she's creating the color, like why are we using orange in snow, etc lol to color along, I have to play it back because I need to pause and stuff, sometimes rewind. I know I'm two years late answering but better late than never! My husband always calls those hourly live tutorials happy hour because he can hear me giggling clear out in the living room haha
Hi Stacie! It’s never too late to hear your thoughts! I think I’m going to do a premier video for the Faebruary event. That way I can concentrate on what I’m doing, but still participate in the chat!

I much prefer the format you use, real-time coloring. It's probably just me, but I find it difficult to concentrate during live streaming videos. All the conversation between the colorist and the viewers keeps me confused, and I can't imagine how the colorist manages to know what she's coloring. I'm new to your channel but I quickly subscribed and rang the bell so I can make sure I don't miss anything. This picture is absolutely beautiful and I'm thinking I need to get it. I like the interaction with the artist and the coloring community. I have found myself trying to chat when I’m actually watching a replay and feeling like I missed out on contributing. Or if I have a question about technique, products, etc. it’s nice to be able to “pick the brains” of my fellow colorists and the artists. However sometimes it can be a distraction if I just want to learn something by watching without interacting.
I much prefer the type of video you are doing now because I can really focus in on what you are doing. I've watched some live streams and I just want to say "get to the point!" ha ha. They seem to go on and on with not much getting done. Perhaps I'm not watching the right streams :)
I like live streams for catching up with friends, its like a virtual coffee group while we talk about colouring - but what I love about the ones you are doing now, is you are explaining in really clear detail your process, and your thoughts on things as you do them which is more tutorial style. For me who can not do skin or hair, this is invaluable and I think in a livestream with chatter you miss the information sometimes. So short answer I like both, but dont be afraid to do what you do, whichever one you choose :) also if you decide to try a live, sharing your swatch book might be a good live to start with as it would be really interactive, as you went through it.

I like and watch both. But I only faithfully watch Colour and chat with Sammie, and Coloring with Vicky. And it's more for the camaraderie. One can ask questions in real-time and get feedback from both the hostess and the community. I like uploads, real-time or voice over because it is more learning in the same amount of time. Live involves no editing, raw, what you see is what you get!😉 I think your channel is going to flourish either way you go, whether it be one or a combination of the two. 🤍

I know you asked the question awhile ago, but I prefer the recorded video over live as I can pause the recorded video without loosing any input from you. I find the conversation on a live video distracting and frustrating.

Gaile I didn’t intentionally leave out anyone. As I said before, TH-cam automatically creates the CC. Sometimes they are unable to to CC some videos. I don’t know why. There is nothing I can do about it. I’m sorry that you are missing some, but it is truly out of my hands.
