Love this. I wanted to do one too, but got caught up on what would happen if I got new colors. Having one color family per page is an excellent idea, and it looks really pretty too. Think I'll use this method myself, thank you!

I like the idea of numbering the pencils. My eyes arent great anymore and would help me. I cant hardly read that metallic print they use.

Are you selling your chart set?

I love how you show your struggle to keep the light/white because it gives me hope that someone of your caliber struggles with the same things I do. Even the way you will do something & realize that you wished you had done something else. These are things that help me not give up & quit. Don't even get me started on all of the tips in your videos...I LOVE your tutorials.

I feel like I've joined a little club or focus group of students or spectators who are watching one demo after another, done by good artists all having a go with these pencils.🤗 It's very exciting to see people with technical skill and experience having that first encounter, and then producing something suited to demonstrate what the pencils will do. It is certainly making me more determined to get a set for myself eventually and try my beginner's hand at some basic sketches of trees, fields and sky. These have always fascinated me; I love watching a good artist producing a nature study. It certainly motivates me to improve my skill at drawing trees. 🤗

I am having issues with getting the white fur on the neck of a dog to just look right. What would be your suggestion for cleaning it up a bit? Mind you, this is my first attempt at colored pencil. Where can I send you a picture? There is no way to attach a pic here. Thanks a bunch...

What type of brush are you using when you’re cleaning off the page?

Good afternoon. I have watched this video twice. It is amazing. Your artwork is excellent. I love your instructions and techniques. I have the 33 piece gift set 2. I had it since 2020. Didn't know how to use them. Also, heard negative comments about them. So, I just placed them away in my art room. But, this year is a new beginning. I have all the tools: Ohulu Honolulu Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils, Faber-Castell Watercolor Pencils, NEOCOLOR II WATER SOLUBLE WAX PASTELS, Distress oxide inks and regular oxide inks and more. 😂 I am sure I will return to this video often. Thanks for sharing your talent with me. God bless you.

I'm not that organized. I'm very haphazard in my method. There's madness to my method. I grab a color and run with it. However, I am not nearly as artistic as you. Your art is beautiful. I did try to organize my pencils by color. I managed that much. I printed out a swatch chart, filled it out, and used someone else's system. It seems to work better than my own. I do admire your organizational skills.

❤ I am impressed with all the work you put into this project❣️ As a BEGINNER colorist I have No color theory knowledge. Yet having heard another TH-camr mention swatching all of her pencils into a master color chart as well as you, yourself having done in this video. I found that intriguing and would like to do that as well but other than a 48 count set of Prismacolor pencils, I just bought a Star Joy gold edition of 120, otherwise I have some budget no-name sets of around 50/60 each, some orphaned pencils of my daughter’s high school art class (36). Someone in TH-cam land offered a color family chart for the Star Joy’s, another for the Prisma’s. But I’m intimidated by the task with no real knowledge other than 2 charts to give me a helping hand in this endeavor. I would love to have a picture or whatever you are willing to share with me. This was a really major undertaking and I thank you for doing it. The charts are beautiful and your process has been fun to watch. It is not particularly useful for me however. Even though I have 5 of the sets that you used. The reason being that coloring in pencils is a long experience. I feel that I can come up with harmonious color pallets from whatever set I am using.

very good drawing but please check the eye pupil of the cats eye on your right or the cat's left eye. It looks like the shadow of the pupil on the side should be a little bit darker. What do you think? Good job!!!!

hi! an update video would be awesome -- how you've used the charts in the last year, did you end up liking Coloursoft in practice as much as you did from swatching?, do you wish you had included the Pablos after all? haha, etc, and more, such as: are there any specific pencils that stood out as particularly unique hues? did you discover any hues from this that you ended up going out of your way to incorporate more in your work? I'd also be interested in whether this revealed inexplicable favorites -- like, of all the lemon yellows that are identical, does one in particular nonetheless make your heart skip a beat?
