Loving the IRL Erik! Some fun roads and cute towns, Ontario boys got it pretty good!
Ya it’s pretty sweet outside the big smoke!
That Truck nearly killed you, and the other side of the road was empty. The truck driver should not have a driving licence. Hmm The bus drivers seem to have gained their driving licences from the same school as the truck driver.
Oh I could make an hours long compilation of idiots in cars just from this outdoor season 🤦🏻♂️
Erik what mount are you using to achieve this view on the bike and smooth recording. Love the videos❤
GoPro and chest mount. Let me know if you have any other questions!
@@DontGetDroppedCycling I'm interesting in the microphone and how to mute all the wind noise so i can hear your crystal-clear narration. Is it recording separately or you plug/connect that microphone directly to gopro?
@benjapolcycling DJI MIC 2
@@DontGetDroppedCycling Just check it out. It's high quality for sure, but looks like it's quite an investment - until can write that off LOL.
You can just get the mic itself which I originally did. But found one mic and one receiver was the best for me. Allows you to set the settings on the mic and also use with iPhone/your phone so no extra sync. Audio straight to my video with phones.
Enjoying the tour of Canada never been thank you
Nice to see a cycling channel that covers roads that I ride! Subscribed. On a side not, have you ever done the Grange sideroad climb in Caledon? One of the hardest climbs in Ontario that no one ever talks about. Gravel, but very doable on a modern road bike. Be safe!
I have heard and you just reminded me about it! IT'S ON THE TO DO LIST!
Great to see some outdoors 🙂 What software do you use to overlay your data? Thanks
Great watch Erik 👍 Go Pro footage looks awesome though am considering a Insta360 🤔 Keep up the awesome content 🙌
Ya that new X4 looks really good especially if I can double up and use it as an action camera and 360!
If you go into your settings, there should be a power setting to show u ur power on a 3-second delay, it really smooths out the power reading ur shown. Looks like a fun loop.
Garmin Virb is hanging on by a thread. I need a new program if ya have suggestions!
Why do you talk that way, is that a Mississauga thang? Baby! Yeah a lot of cables going on there!
YA BABYYYYYYY 😆 Feel free to buy me a new frame with integrated cables or complete my di2 build. Buy me a Coffee link in the description 😉
that truck was so close here in the UK we have to give cyclists 1.5 meters of space when passing, it made it so much safer more of the time for us but there are still idiots behind the wheel
People that don’t care are everywhere 🤷🏻♂️ Just gotta do your best and watch out for yourself out there!
It's always a pickup truck here - usually a Dodge Ram or Ford F150. Their drivers are attracted to men in spandex ;-)
How do you get the stats on the screen with Wahoo? I know a lot of Garmin integrations are available. But not found it for wahoo.
You just need your fit file from your Wahoo app and Garmin Virb. The only problem is Virb is being held together with popsicle sticks and white glue so I need to find another solution soon once it fully stops working properly! Recently the maps don’t even appear in the program so I need to line up the data and video with time stamps in my activity.
Enjoyable tour of the local roads, Erik! 💪 Typically how long do you get out of the GoPro battery?
Hour to hour and a half. I’ve been riding with a battery pack to just keep it charged the full ride and get everything. Worked pretty well until yesterday, probably fell into the mud one too many times 🙃
Nope the my wife told me it’s called the “Don Valley Parking Lot” 🤔😂🚴♀️🚴♂️🚴♀️🚴♂️
😆😆😆😆😆😆😆 that’s another gem!
North Halton rides 👍
🙌🏽
A favorite area for me to ride my motorcycle, but I've never cycled up there. Those hills are a lot easier with a motor, lol.
We really need to make the 9th line safer from Argentia to Steeles, especially before the bridge going north. Is that Halton's responsibility? Anyway, keep these RL videos coming, they're awesome 👍
Ya I agree! I think that's still Mississauga's road's until you get to Steeles, hopefully one day!
Great area to ride in - I need to get back there. Lots of fun hills. Sweet bike, too. FYI - you don't need to put a foot down in Ontario any longer (that's been removed from the HTA). Have you ridden Highway 10? I see those hills when I'm going to Albion and really want to climb and descend them!!
If the popo gonna be camping in the intersection I might as well be safe than sorry. I make up for it enough when nobody is around 🙃
You should come ride up around the stouffville area sometime. We have a ton of ZRL riders out this way. Fantastic roads with wide shoulders, but plenty of ahole trucks as well.
I did Hell over the weekend from Ballantrae to Sutton and back… 😑 LMAOOO
@@DontGetDroppedCycling Cool! I know a few people that did it, pretty garbage weather though. Hope you have a video of the ride to post. 😁
Oh do I ever have a video… I barely survived HELL! Weather was great on Sunday 🤙🏽 That was about it 🤪
I can't unsee those exposed cables dragging in the wind!
You don’t have to see them once you get dropped 🤪
