@@DontGetDroppedCycling 45mm seems to be optimal for most gravel riding. Even a 2.1 or 2.2" Cross Country MTB Tire has proven to be a great choice.

I’m debating on some 700x40-45 slicks to commute to work 😅 Would be ultra comfy!!!! Maybe take them on a hammer ride too for a video

Ya I’m debating on a pair of GP5000 AS TR 34 crème for commuting on the gravel frame 🤔 or some sort of slick at 40-45 for shits and giggles and a couple videos.

@@DontGetDroppedCycling ive found GK's regular slick to be very fast in any size I;ve tried from 38 to 48mm

last year I got over 2k miles on a set of 38mm GK slick. When I took them off (rear was worn down so sealant was like sweating thru) the front had 5 patches and the rear had 7 :)

I wouldn’t know since they never sent me an agile 😅 I can tell you to save your money on the MEGA wheels and just buy HYPER ✌🏽

You make more power on the drops? I’m going to try this. I can produce about 1200watts seated. Would love to learn better techniques to make more power.

@@hamedizzy5137 yes it's technique. you can watch a lot of good youtube video. 1200W seated is crazy. Your new problem maybe you can break chain or break crank with that power LOL.

@@benjapolcycling really? Don’t pros put out like 2000watts? And I can’t only keep that power for about 5 seconds maybe. I just got 4iiii power meter on my ostro vam! So I’m new at this power meters.

@@hamedizzy5137 it was a little joke. For the number - depends on your weight and your muscle type. Some people like mountain climber or TT rider don't have super high sprint but can maintain a very long sustain effort. For Lighter climber type rider 1000W is already difficult, 2000W range is more like track sprinter. Did you calibrate power meter and set crank length properly?

@@benjapolcycling I “calibrate” or reset the power meter every ride and it was set up by a good bike shop I’m riding 170s. I’m sure weight makes a big difference when you’re sprinting and not seated.
