    Excellent tutorial. Changing yarn colors created a lovely pattern. It also clarified each row, which is helpful for new learners.

    If I might make a suggestion to others trying to learn this…. The color of the “in between” the rows of blocks is the contrast . In other words, I’m using an ombre green color which I wanted the “blocks” to be that also has tan incorporated in it, and I wanted to put the in between contrast as a matching solid tan color. I hadnt realized I needed to start out with the Ombre first an so I had to start over! It’s probably me, I must have missed that info knowing me - (anxious to get started! ) But i want to keep someone else from starting out and ripping all out , the wrong color scheme they had in mind! A great job teaching, thanks!

    Wonderful stitch, brilliant tutorial! Such clear instruction in under eight minutes! I’ve been looking for a stitch like this for months...one that uses the basics I’ve just recently learned, but introduced other basics steps to keep it interesting yet not stressful. Thank you so much! ❤️

    I'm loving this tutorial and am following along. I am wondering if I should be cutting my yarn with each change of color. It sure is a lot of weaving in of ends. Is there a simpler way? Thanks.

    hi watched this over and over again an i think this is essentially a fab stitch but as a novice i just cannot see how you get that colour formation! so sorry 😲 confused

    • @HopefulHoney
      @HopefulHoney  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Flora, sorry for the late reply!.. Just answer a similar question above, so I'll just paste the same response here...
      In the tutorial I only explain how to crochet the stitch, not the colour combination. For the colour combination I crochet Row 1 and Row 2 in pink, then when I crocheted Row 3 (and later on repeated in the pattern) I used a cream colour. For Row 4 I changed it to a mint colour. Then I alternated between Pink and Mint when repeating Row 4 later on in the pattern. Hope this helps!

      Dina Aguirre I would either carry the yarn or snip, tie off and crochet over it on the next row. Personal preference 😊

      To answer one of the questions below, I am supplying a link on baby blanket sizes which helped me greatly! to make a 36x32 baby throw, using Red Heart Yarn and a J hook - Chain 90+1. Each full row works out to be 1 inch. Hope this helps! Here is the link or you can google "What are the sizes of crocheted baby blankets :) www.google.com/search?q=what+size+is+a+crochet+baby+blanket&biw=1360&bih=643&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiF9tTdlp7OAhWFeCYKHSJbAI0Q_AUIBygC - Enjoy!
