5 stars my friend! This is the type of stuff that sounds like it’s been polished to perfection in a DAW. Unbelievable performance, beautiful storytelling composition and a joy to watch you operate the machinery as well!
Thanks for this amazing comment! I don’t think its bound to time or space as there is a lot of this genre to be found.. Have you checked out the releases of afterlife, anjunadeep or steyoyoke? Lots of good stuff there
The modx is really versatile in sound design. The akai force a really powerful sequencer so they work very well together. The sequencer on the modx is a little limited and difficult to me. Starting small is a great idea and will let you get more out of the machines you already have
Hey Adrian, Thx a lot! I’m doing great, but am a little busy trying to be a great father and building a new studio. So there’s less time than before but when the studio is finished it will be better! How are you?
Hey Twin!! Thx a million sis.. The force is easier for triggering loops and stuff. However the MPC workflow can also do similar stuff when assigning multiple drums to a track
Amazing man wow!! I Dj and want to get into music production…Psy Trance and peak hour techno, but don’t even know where to start or buy. I’m light years behind lol. I have always loved music and pushing 46 yrs old. Don’t know if it’s too late 😂. Anyways, I’m blown away by your talent man. IMPRESSIVE. Def inspiring me to want to learn. Got to start somewhere and never to old to learn something new. I subscribed to your channel and look forward to checking out your vids and new upcoming content. Cheers 🤙🏼 and keep up the awesome work!!!
It’s never too late to start! I also love to dj but making music is a little different. The Akai Force is a really nice machine to get into it. It’s like ableton in a box. Amazing machine to start
@@Expectaz thanks for lending me a hand on what equipment to buy/ start with. Looking to purchase some gear this month and start the journey. Anything else you recommend also with the Akai force? Keyboard…ect? Would love your feedback and your setup looks and sounds phenomenal!! Thanks again for replying back, much appreciated! 🎶
I would advice not getting a lot of gear at once. Any midi keyboard would do and complements the force very well if you play the keys. Start learning slowly and get a good understanding of the gear you have instead of getting a lot which might confuse you
@@Expectaz ok, great advice. Been checking out tutorial vids on the force already. A ton to learn for me as I am a complete newbie but I’m a fast learner. I am going to purchase it from Sweetwater this month and what midi keyboard would you recommend on complimenting the A force? I will get the two together with the order and learn both. Again I really appreciate your help and expertise. Is it ok to reach out to you with any of my questions. Any other way of contacting you by email or social media if that’s ok. Don’t want to bother you or be a nag man. I’m from Massachusetts and my name is Eddy. Just really love EDM. Best music for sure. Been a life saver for me. Thanks a ton for all the advice so far. 🙏🏻
@@edeepimandrade3501 Great to meet you Eddy! Of course you can reach me on the other socials which might be better for chatting and such.. If you search for expectaz on facebook you’ll find me. Love to assist you on your journey. I’m from the Netherlands
Not yet, but that’s a great idea! I did use the modx as an output once.. I do however have my Behringer on which all of my synths/machines are connected. One single usb cable is enough to be able to record them all. Amazing stuff!
Awesome! Realy nice! But also very strange to me. Music without playing; pressing buttons, turning knobs ... here and there. The music is awesome, but I prefer to play myself ;) The only thing I am really missing is a drum machine.
Thanks Martin! I’m composing music and sometimes perform it like this. Other times with the modular for example it’s more playing. Just enjoying the ride here ☺️
Great performance ! You master the spaces ! It seems rythmic parts comes from Elektron and some melodics, and leads / FX from the Virus Ti, no ? Please tell me also which one is the best for multitimbral improvisations
Hey Florian, the drums are from the Force. The bladerunner lead from the start is the Virus TI. Piano is MODX but the rest of the melody is from the Analog Four which is set to transpose the tracks and scale of F# minor in this case. So for improvisations the analog four is amazing. I also use the Novation Circuit and Monostation for that because they behave in a same way. Unfortunately the digitone doesn’t have this
@@Expectaz nice been really thinking about the MPC Key 61 but already own a MPC one and Akai Force so debating if worth it -- i have my Arturia Keylab 61 MK2 keyboard that's nice
Hi, are you here using Force for drums only ? I have just right buyed an Analog 4, i have a Minilogue and an Akai Force. I'm thinking to sell the Force and buy an Analog Rytm 4. Do you think Is a good choice ?
I might not be the one to ask as I have even 2 Forces 😝 The rytm is a great machine but Force does so much more than only drums. Yeah in this track I’ve only used it for drums but if you look around my channel you can see it does so much more. Especially with the latest update that has disk streaming and new synths. Think I will get a rytm one day but will never sell one of my Forces
Technically you’re absolutely correct but it feels so different than a regular computer :) The elektron also acts a little like a daw. They’re both synced and run their own sequencers
Weirdly getting the biggest Future Crew - Second Reality (1993), killer PC demo out of this (right around here: th-cam.com/video/rFv7mHTf0nA/w-d-xo.html). This slaps.
Totally amazing!! I used to watch a lot of these demos, mostly by the Future Crew but a few years later. But I now do get where my inspiration is coming from. Thanks for this!! Going to rewatch a lot them!

Maybe the point is not in chord progression, but the groove it has.
Like four to the floor? Or quantization?
