Akai Force - Techno and Electronic live set with samples from Arturia Minibrute & Behringer Neutron

  • Found a new workflow to create my live techno track set. Using the akai force to record and play loops, music and samples from the arturia minibrute and behringer neutron in this case.
    There are some samples from the ipad on which I use apps like Korg Gadget and Ruismaker Noir. So basically my new way of working consists of recording audio loops.
    Then the beauty of the force is that you can add 4 insert effects on which I have filters, a pumper, compressor and flanger or phaser effects. These can be mapped on the force to the buttons in 2 handy ways: project and track.
    Project are general mappings so they always stay the same. Track has mappings that are specific to the track you select. In this video you mostly see the track map. Generally I love this workflow and am hard at work to create more material which is easy with external hardware synths.

      There are several ways to do it. The easiest way is to use a drum track for a full song. An example is here th-cam.com/video/45sDhfaUz3c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=8dIEcSUWrLJ8ALNd
      You can go on for hours if you want and load all the individual tracks into new projects and rearrange if you want

      @@Expectaz hey man! can you please explain a few things about this device to me?
      how is the wavetable synth in this device?
      iv heard Hype is a FM,wavetable, additive synth
      can you choose wavetables while having FM? or is it all fixed oscillators with fixed settings?
      how deep is the sound design, is another way of asking what i mean :)
      also, if I'm to do a half hour DJ/performance set. how easy is it record a hardware synth live? do you need a clock of some kind or does using the midi/gate cv do that for you. i have a hydra synth and minilogue.
      one last thing, on the topic of performance, if im to have my own music that i made using force, how on earth do you go from song to song. is the load time between projects very long?
      or is doing a song clip based (and within one project) like you did the easiest route?

    • @Expectaz
      @Expectaz  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      These are a lot of questions but I try to answer them all as good as possible:
      Hype is a wavetable kind of synth. you can tweak multiple parameters such as the wavetable for the oscillators and more so its tweakable. Sound design is possible but not too deep I guess. Live recording external devices is a breeze. You just press record on a pad and it will record the length quntized. I always send midi or cv clock signal to all my devices so everything is in sync. works great! Loading time between projects is a little long. I would recommend a second groovebox or synth to fill the gaps if you want to load another song. In my latest video I use more devices which is also fun because some happy accidents occur.
