Two guys from Brooklyn walk into a North Carolina pizzeria . . . sounds like the start to a bad joke, but it was the start of dinner! Matthew and Jeremy picked um two heroes from Mezza Luna in Apex, NC: a classic meatball parmesan and the festival favorite, sausage and peppers (and onions, but we don't talk about the onions, capisce?)
Jeremy is looking for the taste of his youth, the way heroes tasted in Canarsie, Brooklyn in the 80s. And he's craving meatballs because his buddy from the Jets Football Twitter put it in his head. He just got back from a visit to New York where he ate at the famous Carmine's, does Mezza Luna even have a chance? Let's find out, shall we?
