my name's Jeff too! Jeffrey Stowe, i'm also blind, all be it partially, due to retinitis-pigmentosa, Jeff has been an inspiration to me from childhood! i sing, play harmonica and most percussions, i have to admit to Jeff being one of my favorite artists, and certainly favorite guitarist, of all times! he continues to inspire me to aspire to be the best i can be.. rest in peace dearest Jeff healey!!! you will never be forgotten because we will keep you alive in our hearts!!! thank you and the band for all the incredible music! love ya!
Only in Canada would such a monumental talent as Jeff's be overlooked by the masses. In my books Jeff stands right beside the true greatest of guitar players! He had truly unique style and an attack that would peel the enamel off your teeth! You are missed sir!!
Jeff lived down my short street to Bonnyview Drive growing up. When he was in high school he walked down the street each day, carrying his guitar. I saw him perform opening for Jeff Beck and Stevie Ray Vaughan....company he belonged in and guitarists who embraced his talents, as one of the gang. He is missed!
I met Jeff when we were both in high school, we were both playing with our high school jazz bands at a national festival in Hamilton Ontario. Jeff played guitar and trumpet in his band and I played both electric and acoustic guitar in mine. we got to play in a mixed band made up of the best festival bands. I loved his playing then and later met up with him when he was touring Canada just after being signed. Always a nice visit with an impressive guy, he loved music like very few others and will always be missed and remembered. Thanks for writing the book Tom.
Tom saw you guys twice in Wichita KS. Met you backstage 2nd time. Jeff's playing on as the years go passing by is the most spiritual thing I have ever seen! Thanks for the memories.
“Saw you guys in Tennessee , Tom and you bumped into me. You 3 were walking to the stage and I wanted an autograph so bad from you guys but I was afraid if being tackled by security. I was so star struck all I could squeak out was his name and he (Jeff) nodded at me. Been a huge fan since day one”! I’m buying your book.
One of my prized possessions is a recording I have of Jeff and I jamming in my bedroom when I was fourteen. He was over playing Trivial Pursuit with my parents and I was bored and went to my room to pluck on my bass. Jeff came storming up stairs and asked me to replay a riff I had just played. Then he grabbed my brothers guitar for his room and we started jamming.
Jeff one of favs. 1st time I saw them was march of 93. Opened for Bon Jovi Keep the faith tour. SO AMAZING! Got to see two of my guitar heros Jeff and Sambora!
You know the world is upside down when Jeff Healey opens for Bon Jovi. It means mediocre music will be appreciated by more people than great music. The scientific basis behind this is off course the Gauss curve...😊
I was a chef I got to make a make a meal for Jeff and met him briefly Penticton BC when he did his Jazz thing he played at a place called The Dream Cafe. Ive always been a fan and enjoyed Toms interview.
I saw Jeff Healey Band in 1991 in Dunedin, New Zealand. I met him afterwards at a nightclub and I remember seeing Tom having 2 really hot women sitting on his lap!!! Lucky guy!
I met his roadie in a music store in Toronto back in the day. (I'm a drummer). He was standing around talking with the drum section staff. He was kidding with the guys that he knew so little that he couldn't even tune his own drums. Wasn't very accomplished musically. He was good enough for Jeff, good enough for me. Miss that dude!!!

It bugs me a little when people overlook his sexyass voice (and SRV too) because of his (their) famous string bending skills. If there's a rock 🎸 roll heaven, you know they got a hellofa band 💔In memory of my twin sister Kim (Berly); a true blue rockin chick. I miss all of them.

I couldn't agree more

Jeff was phenomenal, but the whole band was super tight. It took all 3 in that trio to get it done.
Really good interview. Thank you.
Yes, I saw The Jeff Healey Band in the late 80s, in Cambridge Canada. Holy Loud!! :-)
RIP Tom 😞
Canada feels colder without Jeff Healy sharing his talent and knowledge. P S. how do I listen to his old jazz radio shows

Jeff was the best!!!
I am totally blind, I am Canadian, and I am a guitar player.
I cannot perform anywhere without someone comparing me to him!.. for obvious reasons.
What a Amazing player just have no idea how he did it. Great talent and missed deeply.
I remember seeing Buzz with Jeff, amazing

Vincent white played with Walter Trout . They played working over time. Take a look guys

Where is Joe Rockman!? Can't have one without the other!!!
Michael J Fox's voice played drums for Jeff Healey!?!?
Regardless they were a phenomenal band!
