I had an instructor in the college aviation program I was in in the late 80's tell me how he and other Air Force pilots would fill their personal, underwing luggage pods with ice and lobster on the East Coast and deliver it a couple hrs later to officer parties on base in the Midwest and West. He flew the F-101 Voodoo. My dad was a navigator on a Grumman Albatross in the Navy in the early to mid 60's and they did the same thing with rum and cigars from Guantanamo Bay to Key West and other Florida NAS's.
When the man with the flags leans over too far and falls overboard the incoming plane should have mindlessly matched his roll and then crashed into the water too
Many, many years ago, on a small cruise ship to Alaska, I had the pleasure of sharing a dining room (and a couple of times, the ride up to it on the elevator) with Lloyd Bridges. @@fishingthelist4017 what's even funnier, is that unless it's a destroyed aircraft, they didn't need to use mockups much... the Foland Gnat is really THAT tiny.
