EGGS! I get hens that are from the egg industry. They go to slaughter at 18months old, because farmers say that is when they are not viable after this age. When I get them home they lay eggs with very pale yolks. After about two weeks roaming round their paddock with no stress and natural sleep (The farms leave the lights on for 16 hours a day to force prolonged laying time) eating good quality layer pellets grass, bugs and the odd frog or lizard. The yolks begin to turn deep orange. The taste is wonderful. I usually have them laying for another two to three years. Once they stop laying they live out their lives a treasured pets, and receive all the care and love I can give them. My neighbours won't use shop bought eggs anymore as they say my girls lay the best eggs ever.

These are OK but their amino acid profile is always incomplete, some amino acids are always missing. Meats and eggs have the full range of amino acids. This fact itself makes these kind of grains and vegetables inferior to meats and eggs regarding amino acid profile.

Matthew Vu you are right. All animal protein stresses the organs especially the kidneys. Just look at the 7th day adventists in America who have lower rates of disease and live longer because they are vegetarians.
+Angelo Comino actually 7th day adventists do consume eggs and dairy, many of them also eat fish, chicken, beef, so not all are vegetarian even if a large percentage are. INFACT...the longest living and healthiest among 7th day adventists are pescetarians, NOT vegetarians, eating fish like salmon every single day. It's just pork that they are completely forbidden to eat because it's unclean, they also don't consume some types of seafood like lobster, shrimp, etc. They live longer not because they abstain from meat, but because they don't drink alcohol, don't smoke, don't drink caffeine, they eat alot of natural whole foods like veges and lead a clean, spiritual lifestyle free from mental and emotional pollution. Alcohol (and tobacco, and stress, and processed foods) are the real poisons, not meat.
Before I knew about Keto long ago, I went on an all eggs only diet. I bought an entire case of them. I think about 60 eggs per case. It's really expensive to take sick days off work, and expensive to go to the doctor, and really expensive to need nursing care much sooner than you thought. Organic food (aka normal food) is your health insurance. Furthermore, when you adopt a healthy eating lifestyle you will find that your body requires far LESS food than it used to. Very cost effective.

no no no no no. On this channel you have to lose faith in all food tell everyone to just give up on life because it's not organic or has carbohydrates. Like this: Wow, it's so sad that we can't eat anything without dying anymore out here in the US. You farmers have really destroyed everyone. Unfortunately my baby (when I find someone who likes being around me) is now going to have to be raised on only organic. I know I forgot to add something about carbs, but feel free to build your own template. And don't forget the dramatics.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. This explains a lot. I'm finding following your eating plan, I do not need as much protein and can tell quality protein from what I used to be eating.
James Webster yes we can but most meats are injected with antibiotic and hormones. If that wasn't the case maybe less people would not die from cancer and other diseases.
srmayinn not even that cuz for what he is saying is rhat you cant even get proteins from plants...so your forced to eat meat...i think he whent to long on the fast lol..
Get a milk goat. It's healthier. Cows for milk is modernism, goats fed humanity first. They pass on their immunity to so many things through the milk as well. If I had the land and means I would without doubt own goats. They would earn keep by defending the homestead and mowing the grass. Goats are wonderful! Wait, except for when you look at those eerie eyes.
That’s similar to asking God to cancel out all the repercussions of our choices. If I drive down the street blindfolded praying doesn’t cancel out my stupidity. Ask Sampson. That’s why proverbs tells us “the wise see trouble and hide from it, but the FOOLISH continue on the path and suffer for it.”
Dr. Berg, you forgot to add a link again. LOL! 😂😂😂 Can you please give the link to your (Shenandoah Valley or other) favorite eggs? Thank you for another great video. I learn something from every single one! 😉
To all the children who are complaining that he didn't talk about nuts and seeds. Yes, they have some protein, but this list is of protein based foods, ie: foods that are basically all protein. Nuts and seeds cannot be considered protein foods because although they have some, they are mostly carbohydrates. Now please calm down it's time for recess.
Protein: Pasture raised eggs, wild caught salmon/other fish (like, from Alaska), game meats, grass-fed/organic bison/lamb/beef AND pork, all of these proteins I love. Grass fed dairy (I still think dairy is a bit iffy overall (Dr.'s Hyman and Fuhrman + casein doesn't gel with my system very well), even grass fed dairy, ok, sure, I'm sure its fine in moderation for most folks, but I still don't consume it), soy is generally an issue, not really a fan of spirulina, kefir doesn't sound very appetizing. I suppose quinoa, buckwheat, forbidden rice, amaranth, millet, beans, nuts/seeds/avocado (nuts/seeds/avocado/olives are on the healthy fats list for Dr. Berg) etc. didn't quite make it on the protein list for Dr. Berg. Its not like I'm wild about these grains/beans, and with the other guys, I def. eat them quite a bit, but plant proteins should be balanced with animal proteins somewhat... But yeah, fish and eggs are definitely thumbs up. 😊
This is all elementary. Of course people that really care about themselves want to eat healthy. Finding it and being able to afford it are the problem.
Ted Davis nope a lot of people have the means but don’t have the knowledge. They’re choices and most people don’t have the knowledge to make the right choices with the money they already have
Richard Pallas Yes I believe it is, although farmed fish also have some mercury in them. I found this online ''Mercury is a neurotoxin that settles into the ocean in large concentrations after we spew it out of industrial smokestacks when burning fossil fuels like coal and oil. It is then taken up by smaller sea life such as plankton and then spread up through the food chain as larger fish eat smaller ones. We humans then eat the mercury-laced seafood-wild salmon, tuna, swordfish and other fish-and breathe it in our air. Repeated exposure to mercury pollution can cause brain, kidney and developmental problems for people.'' I think it's better to eat farmed fish if you're going to eat it at all.
recovering.vegan Yeah, that's what I thought. The oceans are quite polluted. There is so much toxic waste being dumped in the oceans. Pretty much all fish is polluted. The US FDA recommends you only eat a few fish per day because of these dangerous levels of mercury.
LOL no you probably mean mercury, not to worry I don't think you'll eat enough fish to get mercury toxicity: unless you're getting metals from other food sources.

The second night while on this diet, while driving, my stomach started bubbling ferociously. So ferociously that I had to stop immediately on the side of the interstate, take off my pants and throw them, and I took the biggest crap I had ever taken in my entire life! It wouldn't stop! I know that sounds nasty, but eggs had become the most potent colon cleanser I had ever had!
Fortunately, I had an entire new roll of paper towels handy.
Wtf dude XD Thank you for sharing this experience. I will remember this comment for life.
LOL
too much protein will do that to u
Lmao
😭😭😭😭😭😭 Thank you for sharing!😂😂😂
i try to do the live q & a but there are so many other people which is awesome but im glad he has a video on every question i have and then the scary part is when he lays some real knowledge that you didnt know you need to know like the arsenic in chicken..good thing i watched this video so i can get the organ pasture raised chicken instead of poison fed chickens..like always im thankful for you and your dam overabundance of viable knowledge doc
Whao! what about cheese from Italy,Dr. Berg I like you but please don't forget about our PARMIGIANO REGGIANO. OMG!!!
Dr. You are so amazing great information
the quinoa ?
Thanks doctor
what about chickpea? beans?
good sourse of protein for vegitarian? and vegan.?
It hurts his keto diet thing so its not on the list
@@majormarketing6552 keto is impossible for vegitarians
Chickpea and beans are high carb.
Thanks Doc fr details. Any vedio on positives/ negatives of GMO foods, this will help to understand & act.
Dr Berg I buy non homogenized, grass fed, gmo free milk with the cream on top. I have currently lost 15 1/2 lbs using the advice in your videos (and thank you so much for that. I am feeling tremendously better as well btw) but my question is ... on the label of the milk I buy it shows the carb content as 12g in an 8 oz cup - 10 I believe of which are natural sugars and since I am trying to stay sugar free I am wondering if this is ok or if I should cut out the milk for now. I should add I am only consuming 2 or 3 cups of milk a week because of those numbers. Please advise. Thank you sir for such great informative videos
Have you heard of Almond or caschew milk comes in all different low calories unsweetened vanilla etc a non-dairy I use for smoothies etc. joy
great job, thank u so much for the good info.
Its funny how high school dropouts are going against a Dr/Researcher.. people just watch the video and try to appreciate his efforts
I am confused terriblt with his diet, as Im type2 and watch every bite of food & still have hi readings, Im confused what to eat, food combinations are oh so important. Got any idea? a starving skinny girl. Thanks Joy
I have a PhD in Nutrition and Cellular Biology and an MS in Biomedical Engineering. He is describing a very specific plan, for a (typically) older audience. In all your education, you have missed this. Take the vegan propaganda somewhere else.
What about Dr Michael Greger?
Joy Yoder try high fat vegan...so u eat alot of seeds, nuts,,avocados and green veggies ...and moderate fruit....no dairy or eggs of coursr..no flour..whole whet etc..no starchy stuff like tubers etc
Gregory Serrano
Thank you for defending him..So many vegans are confusing people about what not to eat
great work Dr
Thank you Dr. Berg, great information.
Here in rhs Netherlands there is aslo cheese, called farmers cheese that's made from raw milk. We have the organic and non organic kind. Maybe that can be found too in America and other country's. In our country raw milk is also illigal but there are legal ways to buy some directly from the farmer. Rawmilk cheese can be bought at the better supwrmaekts.
its really too expensive to eat organic Doc as much as I would love too
Right, I used to, now I cant afford it.
@@kerry3710 With all those good points in mind, if you don't have the money, you don't have the money. The fact is even if you are nutritionally wise, you will only live as long as your income allows.
Thank you. That is very informative.
I do keto without buying organic and I do just fine.
I'm just saying if you cant, it's not the worst thing in the world.
Kinda missing the whole point but ok. 😉
no no no no no. On this channel you have to lose faith in all food tell everyone to just give up on life because it's not organic or has carbohydrates.
Like this:
Wow, it's so sad that we can't eat anything without dying anymore out here in the US.
Dr Berg should rap this info, it would get across to the youth better? Call him "Ice Ice Berg!"
Thank you Dr.Berg, very informative as usual. Good job, well done.
We can't really eat nothing smh .everything is bad
+James Webster
plant-based diet
James Webster yes we can but most meats are injected with antibiotic and hormones. If that wasn't the case maybe less people would not die from cancer and other diseases.
yeah, the only way to make sure you get good quality food is by living in a farm and raise your own food :/
srmayinn not even that cuz for what he is saying is rhat you cant even get proteins from plants...so your forced to eat meat...i think he whent to long on the fast lol..
Beans bro
What about beans? Are they a good source of protein or are they too high in carbs?
BUT some of those groceries are SOOOOO exxxprensive!! ;0(
We are listening to a wealthy Doctor with a bias towards the Keto diet.
Thank you sir very very much.
I wish you'd talk a little more about raw milk. I've got my own milk cow.
Chris Layton your good on raw milk my whole family in mexico drinks it never had a problem
Dr. Berg is all about Keto diet. Milk is not keto diet friendly protein and keto food in general.
@@seakalix4297 And their milk, I feel, tastes a little nasty.
@@seakalix4297 Well, depends where you at. In Indian Subcontinent it has been Cow and Buffaloes for Milk.
Great vídeo. Great info. (Try doing a PowerPoint presentation so we can also read it). 😉
If dairy is considered “dead’ at165 deg. , wouldn’t beef,
EXCELLENT advice Dr. Berg!!!
Good gracious everybody just say your prayers before you eat and after you're finished eating. Let God take care of it!
love you Dr Berg! I'm having such wins/successes with your weight loss lifestyle data!
Good advice 👍🏻
👌🏼
thanks so much for this reasonable video, God bless you always
To all the children who are complaining that he didn't talk about nuts and seeds. Yes, they have some protein, but this list is of protein based foods, ie: foods that are basically all protein. Nuts and seeds cannot be considered protein foods because although they have some, they are mostly carbohydrates. Now please calm down it's time for recess.
Hahahaha!!! 😂😂
nuts and seeds are primary fat, then protein, then fibers and then some carbs...
They’re choices and most people don’t have the knowledge to make the right choices with the money they already have
What about beans, green leafs, brocolli?
Man thank you so much you foor your effective help
Bottom line eat moderate protein buy grass fed/organic. YOU'RE WELCOME
Thnx Dr. i learned a lot from ur videos . what about cereals. is it healthy?
I get my eggs from a family raised.
What about gelatin from organic beef. Very high in protein and supposedly great for joints, skin, nails and hair.
Hold on? Isn't wild fish filled with mercury?
+MV Not all depends in the waters and you will have to consume a ton in your lifetime...And you can detox as often as you like :)
Calvin Hague Yes and also very highly acidic.
LOL no you probably mean mercury, not to worry I don't think you'll eat enough fish to get mercury toxicity: unless you're getting metals from other food sources.
Thanks soooooo much dr berg🌺🌺🌺🌺
🍖🍗 Thanks, Dr. Berg, for the help and support you offer me and all of your viewers ; your wisdom is, truly, a gift from God and I am very grateful for this unique gift being shared with us ! I'm hypoglycemic and need this valuable information regarding my foods to help me get better ! God bless you and yours, Dr. Berg ! ✌ &. 👍👍
ive learnt so much from Dr. Eric Berg
What about protein from beans, lentils, ...?
Mix them up cause they don't have all of the amino groups... Get organic tho.
