Thompson is the fastest woman on earth hands down. It's great to see her reach her potential. Felix is still a woman after my own heart......lol I think Allyson will have recovered from her injury by next year and will be more competitive in her favorite race in 2017. I'm glad to see Felix have enough confidence to face the gold and silver medalist despite having a season where she was less than her best.
Thompson is without any doubt the fastest woman on earth period. But keep an eye on Dafne Schippers she is an awesome 200m competitor. Felix is also an awesome competitor, but my only concern she is 30 years old now.
You're right.......that 30 year mark begins take it's toll on the body. I think, however, one can remain competitive if your head space is youthful. Gatlin, Gay, and Collins, and Ottey are prime examples of longevity in the sprints.

The finishing distance between ET and runner up Dafne Schippers is considered a blowout in 100m, but if Natasha Morrison in lane 8 needed any more proof that she doesn't belong on the track with ET this race was it. @6:58
