Everyone has to give the Haka 100% when they perform.
tayłor so they can lose 😂
krzyloc loc your school should go and play them then.
I don’t know about #62
this is not a haka it’s cultural appropriation
@@cameronmitchelson1579 it is a Haka 🤣 it’s made for Kahuku by a Maori man.
This Haka is called "KAIPAHUA KURA" witch in Maori Language Translates "RED RAIDER" this Haka was made special for the "KAHUKU RED RAIDERS" by an elder of New Zealand
The Kahuku Red Raiders is a Highschool based outta Kahuku,HI on the Island Of Oahu
and 93% of the school nationality ratio is of Polynesian Decent....
Mean bro..
No it wasn’t..
@@makaitinoco9754 yea it was
Makai Tinoco yah it was his name is Seamus Fitzgerald and he made it when he came to kahuku
@@makaitinoco9754 Yes It Was!! I'm A Alumni From That School.. RRFL!
This what u call a team frfr this takes a lot of effort and discipline
CJ CJ
Its a culture thing, so the team doesn’t really practice it. They all just know what types of chants to preform and shit by heart.
jake from statefarm no they had to learn it
jake from statefarm they had to learn it

The blue team won. Great game tho!
@@esekiapaulo-tauvao2676they won this game but lost to st boscoe
I'm Māori and seeing the haka being performed in this sport is amazing I love my culture, tū meke whānau
Some people dont feel the same way as you
@LJ Raynar I agree, the haka is a maori tradition
@@qedydu5946 This haka was created from a Maori specifically for Kahuku in Hawaii
@@Jake2Flyy and that’s okay
Are the hawaiians maori? Dont let the americans steal your culture
As an African I love tribal culture. I’ve always admired Polynesian culture because of the amount of pride they show whenever they have their presence felt. I always wanted to learn Hama but afraid that because I am not apart of that culture I may offend or disrespect their culture even if I learn how to do it properly
Just do it bro 🤙🏽🤙🏽 be you!
The haka originated in new zealand
Stop that nonsense. Cultural appropriation is GOOD! Human civilization advancement is dependent upon it. C. A. is a madeup term by the Commies to continue splintering the west & nuclear family. It’s just another part of the massive psyop being ran on the world right now. Luckily, they never thought she’d lose or it’d be much, much worse. 😉
Be it! Own it! From Hawaiian to African, make one & make it felt! It not only embraces the challenge but also brings your warriors together! Much love! 🤙🏽☀️
1:10 to second watch number 37 in front
Red Man1131 I’m cryin😂😂😂😂😂💀
I didn’t catch the first time I watched. Now I can’t miss it.
Played it off nicely tho...😎😎😎
He tripped over someone’s foot
Got hyped Everytime I watched this that I only noticed that when I read this comment 😂😂😂
Plays against these guy back in 02 when I was in Aiea. They were big as hell
....high school!?!?!. Some look as if ready for the NFL.
Charles Vandenburgh That area is the football capital of Hawaii
Check out NZ schools the kids here are over half this size of these guys in elementary school 🤣
@@Dan13- Lol no, look at the top American football teams they all are NFL ready.
@@Dan13- th-cam.com/video/pKOMb065zds/w-d-xo.html
Daniel Langkilde this obsession with size is not a Polynesian thing. So, if you’re Polynesian, you better think again.
Yo. Kahuku hard for having they own haka. Badass frfr
Das ist schön ein Brauch und Kultur so gut ausgesprochen.
There’s nothing else in this world that gets me more fired up than the Haka! AAAAAAHHHHH LET’S GOOOO!!!!!!!!
1:11 y’all see how smoothly #37 got back into it tho🔥🔥
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME NEVER GET TIRED OF WATCHING IT
Coming from a maori from aotearoa this haka has mana. Can you feel it ?
NO
can you feel it now Mr krabbs
It was there. They took the time to practice, it sounds like someone composed it especially for them and I to be honest thought the kaitātaki tāne was māori for a second.
Plenty of mana my bro forget the haters
They are Polynesians themselves so why don't they do their own chants... Here let me paint you a Polynesian picture:
Māori = haka
Samoans = Siva tau
Fijians = Cibi
Tongans = Kailao/Sipi tau
Rapanuians = Hoko
Kuki Airani = Pe'e
Hawaiians = HAKA???
Hell, even the aboriginals of Australia made their own chant. Hm, guess Hawaiians not proud of their own culture like the rest of us.
Long live the Red Raiders! Go Kahuku! All of us on Oahu love you!
Im proud to say that I go to school with these very boys and watch them on the field every chance I get #schoolpride
If I’m on the other team. I’m not playing. No thank u coach I would like to keep my spinal chord inTACT😭😭😭😭
On GOD bro I've always dreaded going against these kinda teams😂😂
We lost anyways😂😂
The blue team won. Great game tho!
I know the haka started with the Maori, but being Samoan and seeing this is beautiful
Absolutely the best ha'a I have ever seen. Awesome job guys. It was truly an honor to see.
That was lit asf no cap
Holy crap!! Year later and this hits way different
Okay this gave me chills
Kia ora our Hawaiian brothers. I have seen a few American high schools attempt haka and fail miserably screaming, stomping, poking their tongues out and slapping their elbows just for the reaction all while yelling some random gibberish. So credit to this team for taking the time to learn from one of our very own. If I was to offer a piece of advice for future teams if you're reading this is when you're on your knee tapping the ground with closed fist, always keep keep looking forward. Dropping your head and looking to the ground is a sign of weakness and you also cannot see your enemy also no need to rush it, learn the meaning of every word and make it count!
I do have one question for our Hawaiian family: You all have a beautiful and fierce culture as well... what were the chants/dances etc when preparing to go to battle? and why aren't these being performed?...
Colonizers
They ruined alot of my peoples culture and banned things including our war dance and made it more feminine aka the hula
Alotta reasons but this haka was made just for them by a elder from New zealand. KAIPAHUA KURA "RED RAIDERS"
@@dalastkanakamaoli9058 Hawaiians have the Ha'a, same as Maori Haka. Different from hula. This team is made up of Hawaiians, Samoans, tongans, and Maori. We all Polynesians you hating sounds like the real colonizer
Congratulations Kahuku for the W against St. Louis. Red Raiders!
Brah.. always wanted to haka!! Doing my Hawaii coaching days!! Go Hawaii go puna!!
May you be victorious!! Let's Go NBA!! GOAT!!
This gives me chills!!!
Them boys is vicious🔥🔥🏈

Aye front roll number 13 is a brotha from the hood lol lots of respect of participating in the haka usually non polynesian people don't like doing it and ik for a fact lol so respect to him
Oh my god 😤 10000%

This new first half of the Kaipahua Kura, never did it. 2010 grad, we did the original. Someone link or attach the lyrics to this first part
These are high schoolers?! Looks like they should playing on Saturdays
Love the haka
Go boys! Peace and alofas

It makes it even better when u find out they were told not to do it.
This haka is dope
Been observing haka and this one is the greatest and coolest for me

0:56 ouuuu gave me chills im proud to be Samoan
Why the haka is Maori not Samoan
MANGUKAHA RPG he prolly meant proud to be Poly

I like the haka rock on dudes
"AW HELL NAH COACH"
We need to Hawaii to get onto that Rugby League. Could of been at this years World Cup..
Nobody will fund it neither will the US gov allow it because they would have too play under America not Hawaii the US could & would never allow it Lol
Holy. Shit.
The hardest one.
Way too short. Want to see longer version. This is great.
Is that a High School stadium? Huge!
Naw there at unlv stadium
I don’t think it’s the greatest because every high school in New Zealand has a haka, and some is over hundred years old, but well done, I felt the mana in that
Of course not but its significant because this haka was written just for this team KAIPAHUA KURA "RED RAIDERS"
@@DaRedeyeJedi808 is it written in Te reo Maori, or is it Hawaiian? It’s sound like it’s in Te reo
@@marcusty6957 its Te Reo as a elder of one of the kids on the team from NewZealand wrote this
@@DaRedeyeJedi808 so why do you want it in Te reo? I just find it a bit weird. Coming from the South Pacific the Hawaiians are the only nation in the pacific that uses Maori haka and yet the rest of the pacific islands use their own haka. The cook island Maoris language is very close to the Maori’s from Aotearoa and yet they never use Te reo well no one does except for Hawaii, why?
@@marcusty6957 The KanakaMaoli have their own Ha'a aswell usally all Hawaiian schools like Kam usally do it but this Haka was made specifically just for this team as I said and this school is not only filled with Kanaka it has Polynesians of Maori,Samoan,Tongan, etc decent so it would be cool for a WarDance of all the Polynesian Ethnics into one Ha'a/Haka/SiviTau/Etc that go to this school but they settleted with the KaipahuaKura as it was written for them anyways by a elder of NewZealand....
hearty!
If I was the other team, I'd be shitting bricks.
Was this against that Utah team?
I believe this was against Bingham from Utah and Kahuku lost. Bingham has a lot of Polynesians too, I don't think they were afraid.
Can anyone decipher what they are chanting…..this is so cool.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Awesome 👍😎. Come to Aotearoa watch the Maori styles. You might think that they want to eat you. But you are our whanaunga. Hawaii Nui tonu.💪🙏
Aight... that’s cool.

Can’t wait till this week
It was closer than expected 💀
That's a high school team? Look like division one size.
Haka is cool as shit. I love the tradition of it. From UK and utah.
how are you in the UK and Utah pick one
That's one way to warm up
wow
If they are high school, i must be in elementary school
Not to be rude but the second guy in front to the right tripped 1:11 lol. Love the haka dance tho
Cheeeee hooooooo 🔊
They thump the ground 0:10
'Here we do battle' 0:26
I did some research. The Haka is of Maōri origin. The Hawaiian equivalent would be the Ha'a.
Did they win?
this was gangsta as shot buddas
POV: You’re a second string D-Tackle and you’re eager to get some plays in. The opposing does this and you have mixed feelings. Adrenaline and fear. 10 min later your 1st stringer d tackle is injured. You’re anxious to join the fight now. In front of you is a big 6 foot tall wide-body V8 tank with the last name of Leota. Forget about it chief his PR is twice your weight
Based on a true story
Watch the NZ Kiwis vs Tonga 2017 haka
Euless Trinity high school haka. check them out. From TEXAS.
0:24 the power
The other team went from slow to fast, these guys don’t change tempo at all
Yessush
Got love for my poly brothers, boys in the states would turn right back around to the locker room if they walked out to a whole team of these warriors. All you’d hear would be “FUCK THAT!!!”
Did they win the game?
Yeah we're good. You guys can have this game. lol
The CHEEHOO BACK ROUND CHEEEEEEHOOOOOO!!!!!!
Yeah that's another way to disrepect the haka doing that stupid chehooing
Sometimes I like to read posts like this as the pokemon pokedex voice... Just a thought
Is this a Hawaiian Haka or did someone from Aotearoa compose this?
The teacher who composed this teaches at kahuku and is from aotearoa.

Hawaii
luvvv my culture ❤️
are you not supposed to face the enemy/opponents when doing the Haka?
MrMikeyboy4 they are doing it to the fans to show appreciation
@Pinky Toe not necessarily, it's also laying the challenge and showing respect to your opponent bro.
They are not allowed to face the opponent because of association regulations. 🙄
@@Name-tj7iz actually? thats stupid
