    Very Nice! I was out the same day recording trains on the Brooks Subdivision and got Train 603 with KCS #'s 4806 leading and 4112 trailing as well near Indus.

    I know you said you were sort of done with the Ralph and stuff but your content and production style is up there with professional railroad films and that could be a good Avenue in terms of a career.
    Basically the shorten the comment:
    If you ever have an idea to make a full-length film or DVD concerning local railroads and their history I'd be more than willing to buy it.

    Great video! I have really enjoyed your videos since I started following last year, as I think your mix of information with the footage of the trains is a good balance, and its facinating to see this documentation of the only Class 1 merger in my lifetime (so far). Also, I found your comment about the SD70ACe-T4s at 6:55 interesting; I thought that they might remain only the domain of UP after CSX sent back their 10 last year, one of which I was lucky enough to catch leading a freight last summer. We'll have to wait and see there.

      It’s definitely been fun documenting the early years of this merger. Thanks for watching!

    In Canada, we call the plains the prairie . At least, that has been my life experience.

    • @viscount757
      @viscount757 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agree. That was the first thing I noticed. Rarely hear "plains" used in Canada. Almost always "prairies", at least during the 28 years I lived in Alberta, both Edmonton and Calgary.

      Prairie is a French word meaning grassland given to this region by early explorers from eastern Canada in the 1700's and is more commonly used in Canada. It is used occasionally in the USA as some of these people also made it to present day Kansas & Wyoming, such as the Verandrye expedition of the 1740's.

    What's crazy to me is that Alberta is actually wanting to become an independent nation to alleviate the economic hardships and government stupidity they're dealing with. I genuinely hope they do it, what they got goin on up there with that knucklehead Justin is just horrible man!

      It's probably a difference between whether cities proper or metro areas are compared.

    • @lonestranger
      @lonestranger หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@LouisianaRailProductions That's technically correct since the city of Vancouver itself is only ~662,000 population. However the metro Vancouver area includes a dozen or so cities bordering one another, totalling 2.6 million+. When British Columbians refer to Vancouver, they're referring to the metro area.
