This story scared the shit out of me as a kid. Still remember my older sister's face when she said "but you wanted it, so why are you crying now?" Good times. :)
You really do need to check out that venom/ghost rider crossover. The second or third issue has a page that Kubert draws from the perspective of the inside of Venom's mouth. One of the coolest Venom pages ever.
Love this channel. Massive appreciation. Would really like to see some more 2000 AD/ Judge Dredd affiliate story’s ?? Sinister & Dexter by Simon Davis is fairly epic . Painted artwork. Slaine by Bisley obviously . Button Man by Arthur Ranson ?
It's interesting that you mentioned the Mignola influence on some of the art. One the first images I saw for this that really got me interested was a promotional piece or pin-up by Mignola. He also did an image that was on the cover of Amazing Heroes or one of those mags from the time.
I found this when I was a kid at a flea market and I couldn't buy it and have literally thought about it every once and while since then. For a while I didn't even believe it was real I thought maybe it had been a dream.
This was brown but not boring at all. a lot of dark blues, pops of color and more saturated brown. there’s a distinct difference between this type of brown and the types you see in the flex mentallo recolor and stuff like that. Those are just uninspired and bland.
The Kubert Brothers, especially Andy, are yucky artists. Adam eventually grew into a somewhat tolerable artist, but Andy with his faux Jim Lee rendering, constantly squinting, Liefeld-like poses, was like lemon juice in the eyes.
My little brother and I worshipped this book when we were little kids. Nostalgia is heavy for me with this one!

The Best Dark Horse / DC Comics crossover of all time!!!
I want to keep CK classy, then describes Batman "begging" for his life. 😂😂 Another great episode. 👍
Predator: The Musical! I expect Ed and Jim to have that show up and running on Broadway withing a year! :)
The artwork is STUNNING!
The Batman/Alien comic with Bernie Wrightson on art is definitely worth a ck look through someday
Predator comes to Gotham and I live in Gotham I’m moving that day
Fuck yes! You guys continue to cover the books of my childhood! My friend and I ate all this shit up as kids.
Would love to see a deep-dive of Aliens: Salvation by Gibbons and Mignola

One of my faves--I'm a huge Predator nut. I also love that the trade is on newsprint and not some awful hypersaturated glossy paper.
So cool. Be great to see more kubert stuff, that’s my childhood in a nutshell.
Totally called it on the Gordon panel in part 2 when he’s reaching for his piece.

Anybody else get the kubert bros mixed up. I have always loved their art (wolvy & x-men) just wondering if anyone has the same issue
The vibe in this video, not to mention comedy! Top of the KAYFABE hill so far. Legit.

I have all three miniseries collected in a trade paperback!
One of the best Predator stories ever. Hands down.
The dopest thing reading this trade as a kid, was reading that shit with Kevin Conroy's voice in my head
You two should pitch THE Predator to Dark Horse as your next project.
One moment this is a classy program, the next Batman is being bukkake'd by Predators. Love it.
I am still laughing at 'Predator on Broadway'... music by andrew lloyd webber
Predator on Broadway!
Love this book, I wish you had talked about those sweet covers too.
I only ended up getting the last issue somehow. Always wondered what the whole story was.
More gems!
weird my copies have Arthur Suydam painted covers. Must be reprints. They also have a nice collection of pin ups in the back.
can yall look at wolverine 90 by adam kubert?
RGB converted to CMYK?
