Two of some of the very best fictional characters ever created in all of media going head to head is something that most definitely grabs my attention.
This comic was freakin awesome.
No other Batman villains either, just Batman vs. Predator was all it needed.

Oh yes this story is such a treat! I always liked how batman out of all people reduced the predator honor system to an overly prideful showcase of violence. The predator in this story reflects that idea particularly well between not giving that boxer a chance for melee combat, and the pet killing. Add to the habit of more unique trophies and sadism, and the See through killer feels like he’s two steps away from being a bad blood.
That's I think my favorite part, that the Predator just flat-out isn't honorable by any stretch.
The lack of honor in this Yuatja works particularly well within this story in a near-lawless city like Gotham but still adheres to it’s taught hunting rules even if bending them slightly for its own convenience. Like with the first kill, Marcus, and the cat, Yuatja usually don’t kill beings that aren’t armed or angrily posing as a threat, even if they are targeted prey. The kill on the blind trainer was out of left field for usual Yuatja, which is the discrepancy.
If anything, i think this Yuatja was modeled after the City Hunter from Predator 2, who pretty much targeted its prey in a similar pattern/ manner
he was probably NOT honorable, bit of a rogue compared to his brethren. Cool stuff.

@@InvinciblKillerQueenI mean, this predator would be classed as a bad-blood by other predators. They *do* have an honor system, and usually they don’t kill unarmed people unless themselves unarmed. It’s just canon that not all predators are honorable; and that the honorable ones actively hunt the “bad-blood” ones.
This should be a movie. The writing is really brilliant. They managed to capture the ebb and flow of a Predator story perfectly, while also spending just enough time letting Batman work on a murder mystery. Once the first clash happens, it goes exactly like you'd expect and Batman is outclassed despite all his strength, smarts and skill. His only way to win is spending time to prepare against his opponent ahead of time. Really amazing story, 10/10. Great job narrating and bringing the comic to life in video format also!

Honestly, that might be one of the coolest batman stories ever. I always thought in concept that the Alien Vs would be a better story, you know Bats' brought to the very edge of his knowledge and skills, completely denied of tech and resources. But this was an absolutely badass story and imo the better of the two. Nicely done my man!

You have the best narrative voice for vids than anyone else. There’s something calming and yet keeps me on the edge of my seat listening.

The batman crossovers are what exposed me to the world of first alien and then predator. They hold a special place in my heart. This narration was top notch and brought the story to life!
Holy hell, this would make an incredible movie, too bad copyright and licensing shit would never allow it to happen.
Hell, Hollywood still hasn't pulled its head out and realized the Alien and Predator comics are vastly more worthy of film adaptation than any of their recent scripts.

Great rendition. Been wanting to reread this, thanks for making it more of a cinematic experience. The sonar batsuit is really something to behold. This story continues to uphold the meme that with enough prep time, Batman can defeat anyone.
The story is so well made! The pacing of how both major characters played out, effectively making each one stand out! Much love and respect was given into writing the scenes! And the shots/scenes the artist chose to effectively illustrate the actions and dialogue! This is truly a masterpiece! Predator & Tomb Raider crossover?
The gifting of the blade is what sealed it for me; this is one of the better comics that depict Predators. Batman hadn't just won. He had done so within the rules, and he was rewarded for it. The Hunted became the Hunter; and while he wasn't 'blooded' over it, this is a close second.
It's a sign of respect.
This needs to be made into an animated or live action movie. This is the best verses Predator Comic ever made in my opinion.
Loved this comic as a kid. So cool to see the artwork again.
As a visually impaired person I enjoy these comic story reads, very well dictated with lot of inflections and enthusiasm, not like some of the monotone readers seems like you really actually enjoy reading these stories, keep it up and thankyou👍👍

I like how Predator crossovers aren't some crazy event, you don't have to invent some incident to get them to a different timeline, they just show up to hunt.
Normally I'm not a fan of crossovers but this was excellent... probably largely due to the narration and presentation style. Top notch work as usual!

This remains one of the GEMS of my comics collection. Not just any Batman or Predator comic, but my entire collection. One of the best written pieces of crossover fiction. Both Batman and the Predator are displayed at their finest, with the writer understanding BOTH opponenants well, and justly writing a yarn worthy of both fandoms. Another great piece of visual reading made into audio-bliss by your talents Alien Theory. I am so thrilled you covered this crossover comic.
You are an incredible narrator. I love the Alien universe as much as anyone and you are obviously passionate about it but if you could find some more “mainstream” content to narrate I think you would do really well with your talent. Just a thought….
This story works perfectly as both a Predator movie and an episode of Batman the Animated Series. It captures the essense of both to a tee. One of if not the greatest crossover of all time

I just stumbled upon this channel, and it brings back some of the most rich nostalgia I've experienced in years. I grew up in the 80's and 90's, so I felt the full force of the Aliens and Predator fanfare. Your presentation - the small visual effects, the accompanying sound clips, the subtle voice inflections - all serve to elevate the source material, rendering it more than the sum of its parts. Please continue these phenomenal offerings.

Dude have to say i have enjoyed and continue to enjoy your narration of these wonderful stories. For those who have know this Alien and Predator Universe, its quit the treat to retread these stories. And for those just jumping in, it provides these stories to them in a manner that is easily digestible without dumbing it down. Disney, since they now own this, need to take positive note of content creators like yourself, who bring in new blood to the franchise but keep all us Old Bloods, running hot and ready for more. I would love you to review Alien Phalanx. It is quite a unique story in the universe. It really brings the fear. At least it did when my wife and I listened to the audio book on Audible.

Hands down the best crossover mini-series I've read. I own a original copy of the trade paperback containing the whole series with additional bonus artwork and cover variants. Definitely a prized possession in my collection not to mention one I've re-read the most. Thanks for covering the epic story of the battle between these two legendary titans.

This was really amazing man. I had the graphic novel of the 2nd Batman Vs Predator back in the day, with the predator killing all the assassins hired to kill Batman. That one was awesome too and I look forward to you tackling that one day as well. This was really great though man, had never seen the first one and it’s just as good as I hoped it would be. Thank you very much for doing such an incredible job telling the story. Given that Yatjuas value martial prowess and they have repeatedly shown to have high respect for those who challenge them to close combat, I think the assumption from Batman that they won't return is grossly misstated. If anything, they'd be slobbering over fighting "that guy with the cape!"
I had no idea this even existed, so first of all a huge thank you for sharing this! I greatly enjoy when you share the many comics associated with the Alien and Predator franchises, and this was no exception. I would likely enjoy more read-throughs like this one of the next few comics in this series, as I am also a fan of Batman and find it interesting and entertaining to see how various comic book heroes manage against these other-worldly terrors. I absolutely LOVE this trilogy of comics of Batman and allies encountering these alien hunters, I love the story arc of this trilogy, as he recognizes the patterns that the Predators leave behind and he prepares to face these new Predators in Bloodties and Bloodmatch

This was the first crossover comic I read and it really stayed with me over the years; I was a devoted Predator fan then and now, so to see this imposing hunter go up against Batman made me so hyped. Thank you for covering this one Alien Theory! I continue to hope the Marvel Predator comics will be good and Prey will hopefully inject some good karma into the Predator franchise to wash off Shane Black's mess lol

I loved the Batman vs Predator crossover comics. I used to check in with the local comic shop weekly to see if there were any new Alien or Predator comics when I was a kid and I remember for BvP II, they had this giant promo poster in the store that was cool as hell. When the series finished its run and I came in for my weekly visit, the owner gave me that promo poster because he knew I was such a fan. I still have it, tucked away with the comics themselves.

I wish there was a vid by you of Batman V Alien 2 because the joker/Alien hybrid on the cover is enough to compel me, but I suspect if it lived up to the first, that would be the case, so I'll go read that one solo. I appreciated the special editing touches, smoke, flickering on predator vision, etc. After 4 vids, all of great quality, I'm now subscribed

I've had the trade paperback since I was a kid. In fact I'm staring right at it yet I'm still enjoying this vid. This is one of my favorite crossover stories and it does both characters justice and has a great atmosphere fitting them both. I always wished they made a legit animated adaptation of it since it's damn good but that won't ever happen. I've seen your content for years and you do a phenomenal Job and I enjoy watching things even if I know about them in detail already. Keep it up.
