REALLY like the other colors in there. Love the red orange, the road, the mountains, and of course te pines. Love the different variety in this painting.
I've just started venturing into watercolor, searching YT for tutorials (and there are several). I just LOVE your editing style, your aesthetic/workspace, your beautiful art, your voice and your guidance. Even if I don't paint anything, your videos are a delight to watch all the way through. Thank you!
There certainly are plenty of videos to learn from. So many different styles and ways to painting subjects. I hope you can soak up as much knowledge as you can. And of course I’m grateful you’ve stumbled upon my channel and are enjoying the content. I did the aesthetic mainly for me because it gives me great joy, but so so glad that it connects with many others as well.
Girl, this is a whole production. Beautiful paintings, cozy staging, calm and peaceful commentary. It's more than just watercolour and clearly, well thought out. Love the videos and please keep it up!
Haha thank you, Molly. I was a photographer first, so I'm a bit obsessed with placement and flat lay. I'm so glad I can provide a cozy atmosphere. Cozy and calming vibes is what I'm all about and want it in my videos. And you're totally right... I am aiming to create a specific aesthetic that makes people feel relaxed about painting. :)
As always.... thank you for the video. I love the way you set up your work space with candles and nature....it makes me appreciate how important atmosphere and calm is.
Thank you for this lovely comment. I love calm so much and love that I can bring it to others, too. Creating a woodsy atmosphere is a major goal in each of my videos. I just love it.
Great video Jackie! I love picking up other artists techniques, I loved the dry brush on your mountains and the back and forth with your evergreen trees. ❤
Absolutely love this and all of your paintings!!. From the way you hold the brush for a particular affect to your chosen colors, the beautiful way you create the mountains. I am truly in love with your work!!.❤
I love your style of painting. I enjoyed painting along with you. I really like how you decorated your work area. It adds to the beautiful paintings you create. Thanks so much for sharing your art with us!
Someone mentioned your name on Kristen Van Leuven utube video... said you did something similar with misty trees and that you're from the Pacific Northwest!!! That's where I grew up ... then onto California at 18! You paint beautiful landscapes!! I've already visited your post!!! 🎉 Happy painting!!! Thank you from a California Gramma ❤️
Just found your channel and love your style and your approach. As an enthusiastic beginner at age 63, I’m struggling to find what kind of subjects I like, where I feel more comfortable, what colors I feel happier using, well you know what I mean. Thank you for these inspiring videos and paintings that speak to my heart.
I could have sworn I responded to your comment, but it looks like it's not there. Thank you so much for sharing. And woohoo for starting watercolor. I hope you love it, even when it's being temperamental ;)
Wow, I’m so excited I found you. You are exactly the artist and teacher I’ve been looking for to take me to the next stage of my landscape journey. Thank you so much for sharing!!!
Oh wow thank you! That's amazing! I appreciate you leaving me kind feedback, and I hope to continue providing valuable content, even if the paintings aren't top notch every time!
Again, I love your paintings. I had put a picture of one my pictures of misty mountains on one of my watercoloring beginners groups. Everyone loved it and wanted to know who did I watch to get my skills. So I told them Jackie Peacok. I said everyone needs to watch her, she is amazing. So you may have more people subscribing to your channel.
Omg Rhonda! Thank you for being such a wonderful supportive viewer and cheerleader. I greatly appreciate your comments and feedback. And I'm so happy you can connect with my style of teaching and art. I hope you get the art you're after and fall in love with it.
@@JackiePeacock everyone was asking, who do you watch to get these results? And how can you master the mist with you being a newbie? I would say watch Jackie Peacock. She is the master of the misty mountains. So I hope that you get more supporters watching you , cause you really helped me
@rhondanicholson889 That’s amazing, Rhonda! You can always make beautiful art as a newbie. Love that. And thank you for sharing. I know misty landscapes can be tricky, so I hope to help anyone interested in this subject. 🌲
I’ve watched this video three times now. It’s beautiful! I learn a lot and need to remember what is said about the distant trees should be lighter when I practice. It looks like a rolling mist is coming down thru the mountains. Can’t wait to try this!
Thank you for watching, Carol! I've done that many times with other artists haha. I love me some good misty scenes, so you'll probably see some mist in every painting I do. I hope you get the painting you're after!
Another amazing tutorial Jackie! I followed every single step and I loved how you explain everything so well while also just talking to us as a friend. I still need to practive those trees so I'm going to watch the tree tutorials! Thanks again :D
You're so welcome, Anli :) I hope you can get some value from those other videos. Aww and I love that. I love connecting with content creators and feel a good vibe from them, so it's so wonderful that I can do that for others.
Thank you. I appreciate that, because I love simplicity in my paintings. I'm glad you like it, too. For the trees I believe I used lamp black by Daniel Smith, and I may have had some Deep Sap Green in there as well. I didn't list it or mention it in the video from what I can see. Sorry about that. But I use these colors quite often for trees. Same with Perlyene green.
Thank you for all those nice videos you make. I love your landscapes with the trees. I will be soon enrolling in a watercolour class for beginner so I am taking notes of your tricks. I want to do landscapes too. It is so calming to see your landscapes. I have a bit of painting equipment and have been doodling stuff in the meantime but I am waiting for the class to find out what are the good tools and paint to buy. I will need tips on how to do the mountains and the sky.
I hope your class is a wonderful experience! Let me know how you like taking watercolor classes. I love that you want to paint landscapes. There's just something magical about them. Bringing something to life on paper is wonderful. And thank you so much for the kind and lovely comments. I greatly appreciate them, Marie. Thank you!
I just iron my paper if it wrinkles. I put a tea towel over the paper and have the painting facing down away from the iron. Then, do a quick pass and place a book on it to cool flat.
I’ve never actually ironed my paper. Ok give that a go. I love the spraying on the back and flattening it technique, but harder to do with larger paintings.
Thank you! I did have a very very light sketch. I usually never include one, but I think when I did this I wanted to make sure I didn't forget to do that path.
Can u pls make step by step tutorial pls... like color palette u use, brush and its no. brand, papr type and its gsm, name the color and show the same before u mix up with water... pretty pls.. it will be really helpful,

I'm so sorry you're feeling this way! I get it, though. It's one of the hardest parts of being an artist, and I get these same feelings today. Some days you paint something incredible, and others it's like you've never picked up a brush before. Thank you for sharing this with me, and I wish you a better painting experience.
I make a hundred not so great pieces and get two at least that I like. I just keep on cause that's how I learn. Watercolor is very different to work with but I'm addicted to it. Patience and peace to you in finding what you truly enjoy 😉
I love the foggy look of the mountains. ❤
Thanks, Debbie! Fog is everything lol (to me, anyway).
