  • Random pictures of random things; all of which were taken using my Pentax K-x. I do love my camera...
There are a few imperfections in a few of them, but none of us are perfect right?

Hello Wiggyzdec - Thank you. :-)
I used a multipurpose zoom lens of 18-200 F3.5-6.3 DC 62mm. A Sigma lens; very nice it is too. I paid almost £300 for it two years ago, but I think that you can get them for about £180 now mate.
It's ergonomically friendly and looks the part - a great looking camera! Plus, it uses disposable batteries and not a power cell. I use rechargeable batteries ( 3200's ) and they last way beyond any power cell. You will enjoy this camera my friend! ;-)

Dear friend, pentax is a brand different from the others ... In the sense that pentax must be used to bring out the atmosphere and natural colors typical of pentax and to do this you need to use valid optics and not a limited lens like the sigma 18 -200, it's a lens that sucks ... I'm not saying this to offend you but to encourage you to use the kx in the best way ... and if I can say my opinion, I have to study the basics of photography better ... How face the backlight, when to use the tripod, how to read the light in general in various situations and the composition ... With good lenses and a little experience this camera can take out great photos ... Let's say you have used this camera at 30% of his chances ... But believe me he can achieve much more ... My intervention is just a piece of advice believe me, I hope I have not offended you 😉

@@belladonnajoey Hello. The Pentax is quite the beast, when used correctly. The 18-200 is also a fantastic bit of kit, but again, one has to understand how to use it. Those that don't know how to use this lens, aren't proficient enough. I have used it on my weddings and portrait shoots. It has been a 'work horse' of a lens.
Have a look at my photos and then you'll get a better idea of how a competent photographer 'struts his stuff'. Proving the old adage: it isn't what you have, but rather, how good you are at using it. My website is here: batography.blogspot.com/?m=1

@@Nenden Only an Englishman could give such an answer ... But this is no surprise since the whole world has seen the "good impression" that the British have made and this answer represents you very well ...
Surely the photos of your site are made better than those of the video that suck ...
The saying you say could have been fine on film but on digital it is different ... and the 18-200 is a bottom of a bottle, this is not a saying but the reality of concrete facts, the lenses make the difference !!! And the final result will certainly be better !!! But as I wrote before, whatever lens you use is important to know how to read light

@@belladonnajoey Have you heard the story of the lady who invited her friend around to have a nice cooked meal?
After both ladies had eaten their -respective- meal, the guest turned to her friend and said: "that was a fantastic meal; everything was cooked just right and the over all taste was spelendid". Her friend (the lady who had cooked the meal) replied: "thank you". Then the guest said: "you must have got a fantastic cooker"!

@@Nenden I am touched by so much wisdom .... But I have the slight feeling that you inside know well that these photos suck and that's why you don't accept the advice of others, because it burns you inside ...
I think this is the only explanation or otherwise you are always the same English man

Some of the effects are in-camera and others via Windows photo editing software.
