"I have 3 beautiful kids. I love em. They're your's." Possibbly the greatest line in the series. Definitely hits me in the feels
I think it’s fair to say that Lethal Weapon is one of the most consistently entertaining franchises that hasn’t really been f-cked so much throughout all four of those movies and thank God for that.
Very true. They just get better, which no franchise can really say.
That's right, this is one of the best sagas where all the movies are good and it's the same with the Die Hard saga, they are all good, except maybe the last one, the 5.
Just please no oft talked about 5 - the 4th wraps it up perfectly
@@Paul_1971 For real!
Hope you guys watch Lethal Weapon 4! Ties up the story and is just as good as the first movie 😊
💯 agree!!! It was actually the first I saw as a kid and I remember going "wait, there are 3 others?" when it's trailer dropped. I went back and watched the first 3 after the fact. 4 is actually my fav I might be bias because of the order I watched them, but IMHO they do not lose quality. I hope your pollers vote for the next one too since they're clearly fans! 😂
4 has to be my favorite
All four movies are a gem. But honestly the 4th one is my favorite, because it ties it all together and the way it ends… Man! It’s so good. I don’t think I’ll ever see another franchise thats as good as this, especially how it never really gets old or dips in entertainment quality.
well guess what a 5th one is coming sometime but that will be the last one
The only thing is each film they stop and add more passengers. The vehicle is quite full by the time 4 ends.
I remember watching them film the building collapsing. It was actually the old city hall which was only a few feet away from the new city hall. Needless to say they took every precaution to get it right and not bring the old down onto the new. And they only had one shot.
Orlando. I was there with my dad. Cool experience.
You guys got to LW 4 also, it was Jet Li's first american movie as he played the villain.
Definitely, and I love Jet Li
I wish you didn't spoil his role for these reactors.
If Murtaugh seems weirdly quick to jump to the conclusion that Riggs is sleeping with Rianne, that’s because HE ACTUALLY WAS in the original script. We can all be thankful they changed their minds on that one.
wow, did not know that.
@@highstimulation2497 Also, the Internal Affairs agent was originally male, but was made into a woman to be the replacement love interest after that idea was dropped. Which is why she's such a great fighter and no one feels the need to comment on it, very rare for female characters in action movies at the time.
@@Rmlohner this must be the first action movie you have seen, because there were alot of great fighting female characters back then.
That definitely would've been a whole lot of weird.
Even if Traci Wolfe was a new actress at the time or any other actress was casted.
The crazy thing is Traci Wolfe is actually only 4 years younger than Mel...current ages are 67 and 63. But I guess that just plays up the playing with ages of the characters in this franchise. The original film was released in 1987 when Danny Glover was 41, yet he was 50 in the film. Mel was 31 at the time but was set more in his mid 30s to be old enough to be a Vietnam vet. And finally, Traci was actually 27 at the time but was playing 17.
It's the peak of the franchise with more of what we love.
Connective tissue between plot and character still sells it.
Murtaugh gets the most dramatic arc (retirement, crisis on duty)
of the movie and Glover is excellent.
Riggs hooking up with somebody new was beautiful and Rene Russo (Freejack)
as Lorna was a perfect match.
There isn't a lot of Leo (Pesci).
But that's fine.
At least, he's not in danger and still has like 'several jobs' (I lost count).
In the hospital scene while Leo's being stitched up, the nurse is played
the late director's wife, Lauren Shuler-Donner; producer (The Donner Company).
Greater action sequences and this is considered the most humorous installment.
I liked the 2 songs; It's Probably Me by Sting (film version is hard to find) and
Runaway Train by Elton John feat. Eric Clapton.
There was a tie-in video game on multiple consoles with it's best versions
being The Arcade Game and on Super NES.
Get pumped for LW4.
It's definitely a swan song worth watching and get your tissues ready.
I think you guys will love 4 just because of Jet Li
René Russo was also in another film with Mel Gibson as his called RANSOM thats a great movie really shows how good these actors are she also was in a film with Pierce Brosnan called THE THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR also good film
I love The Thomas Crown Affair!
Amazing franchise that all 4 were solid fun films. Been a fun watch @OctoKrool appreciate you both watching them all

Named my 1st 2 dogs Chaos and Mayhem bcuz of this movie.
Best action franchise ever!! You got to do part 4. It wraps up the franchise so perfectly.
I'm so glad to see you guys reacting this!
You're both so awesome!
A consistently good movie series. They found a good formula and stuck to it. Great action. Always funny, and new stories with each movie, not just rehashing the same story over and over.
Man, I lived in Orlando when they filmed this bit with the old city hall building. Absolutely awesome stuff!
I loved early-90s Florida so much!
We're in Manchester UK and I've watched you for a few months and subscribed. Just introduced my husband to you guys and now we're going threw your entire play list haha you 2 are hilarious keep going
Hi neighbour nice to see someone from North West here
@antidote4899 its always at the back of my head. But there's a better way of saying that, also if that's the case then why you watching lol
I'm from UK been watching these guys for a few years now they are thoroughly entertaining
Fk me that sounded so British 😂
@@antidote4899 wow why are you so negative
You know that sht will kill you
Fellow mancunian 💪💪💪
27:51 One of my favourite quippy action beats of all-time:
Henchman: "F*ck off"
Lorna: "Now that's not a nice thing to say to a Lady"
Henchman: "F*ck you"
Lorna: "I don't think so"....WHAM! 🤣🤣🤣
Yes!!! I was hoping you guys would continue this franchise!
I remember watching this snd LETHAL WEAPON 2 on NBC back in the 90's. Then I finally watched Lethal Weapon in 2002 on HBO.
I hope you guys decide to watch number 4. They are all great but 4 is probably my favourite. It brings all the favourite characters back and wraps it up beautifully. Such a great finale for the series.
2:14 The cop Riggs and Murtaugh are talking to is Mel Gibson's stunt double, Michael G. “Mic” Rodgers. He also played the cop in Terminator 2 Sarah ordered "out of the car, right now" before the T-800 smacked his face into a concrete pillar.
very cool trivia!
Stop with these comments like youre the one to discover the fact ffs. Youre just regurgitating stuff. It doesnt make you clever.

@@PhantomFilmAustralia Well done, you learned how to use google. You are thick. Face it.
Phewy..spits..Exxon. 😂
The rare occassion where all 4 movies are excellent.
Yup, LW is very rare in that it gets better with each subsequent movie. #4? It's even better than 2 and 3. MAYBE better than 1.
Everybody has their own rankings. 3 & 4 actually got many bad reviews for some reason.
These 4 movies are absolute GOLD! Such fantastic character progression, in such a natural way!
Edit: Dammit! I forgot about the Jay Walking scene..... I got news for you guys... I *DID* get a citation for Jay Walking about a decade ago. No, I'm not kidding! And you want to know the most fucked up part about that? I did it so that I wouldn't be driving under the influence!!! No joke! We had "half day Fridays" at work, so I had someone drop me off at the local bar, I ordered a pitcher of beer (because, yeah, I'm an alcoholic) and did some writing on my laptop. After my second pitcher, I packed my laptop up, and headed over to where the bus stopped so I could get a ride home. Without incident... or so I thought.
I crossed the road (because I was taught HOW to cross a busy street when I was SIX YEARS OLD...... and there was a pair of cop cars between my path and the bus stop. So I got yoked up. I got detained (without handcuffs), because I didn't resist or question the cops, and I did have knee braces on (because my knees were pretty well shot at the time) and they were plainly visible (it WAS summer time).
Anyway.... the cops gave me a "talking to", handed me a pamphlet about the dangers of Jay Walking (even after I had explained to them how I grew up in the 1970s... and being taught to LOOK BOTH WAYS BEFORE CROSSING A STREET!!).... and pretty much gave me a verbal warning about it.
At that point, I opted to say "Fuck the bus..." called my grandmother to come pick me up, and I've literally NEVER avoided drinking and driving again. Those cops taught me a lesson: Do the "right thing", and you get yoked up for it. Fine. Fuck you assholes.
4 is awesome too. Very rare. Thanks guys!
This is a rare franchise. The first movie is amazing, and by adding one character each sequel, and building the characters makes it top notch.
"Oh I'm pissed no, Rog, now I'm pissed."
I love it when Riggs goes full psycho mode and Travis REALLY pushed him.
You took that "shut up" from your brother and let it slide. Proud of you.
I JUST re-watched your reaction to Lethal Weapon 2 last night, and I was wondering when you were going to do #3. Lo and behold, lol!!!
There is no bad Lethal Weapon movie, though, of course, there are some much better than others. Don't know if Lethal Weapon V will continue that trend.
Honestly there’s just no way to recapture the magic these movies had with the cast and bring the same level of feeling and story that they have.
well we have to wait and see i don't think they will ruin it though
@@MetastaticMaladies right, I expect it will suffer the same problems as the later Indiana Jones films, but -- who knows, there is a slight chance things will go better
Lethal Weapon story is not over yet. Time to watch 4.
I love that despite it being an Action/Comedy buddy cop movie franchise, there is these moments of Drama and realism, where the characters are going through something and comes out Bigger.
Riggs suicidal nature and depression in the 1st movie, his fear of abandonement in this one
Murtaugh struggle to reconcile with the idea that he shot a Kid, someone the age of his own son.
Those are Dark moments, but instead of turning them into jokes and completly undermining them (like modern cinema does often, specialy in MCU/Disney), they let it breath, and you feel the tension and gravita of the moment.
And the characters uses this as a way to overcome they own flaws.
Its a very small dosage of it, but its done well and makes those characters just that more endearing and Alive.
I have watched this movie at least a 100 times but never realised the main villain actually played by an English actor
Until comments I saw recently
This blew my mind as he literally has all the mannerisms spot on even his face looks American
Thanks for a wonderful year of reactions! Here’s to another! Please watch Chasing Amy from writer/director Kevin Smith.
Great sequel. The fourth one is a great too, cause now they go up against Jet Li.
" they f!@# ya with the cell phones !"
Man I've been waiting for lethal weapon 3.
This movie is over 30 years old. Damn do I feel old. :D
Mel Gypson humor is off the roof LOL.. everyone did a great job in this gold comedy.
You guys need to see Lethal Weapon 4, its as good as the first 3 and it has a perfect ending to the franchise
I've never seen you guys laugh so much on a reaction, this movie isn't primarily a comedy. Finish the 4th movie and complete the set of strong sequels, which is super rare for any franchise.
Love this movie. Renne ruso is a great addition. Stuart Townsend is good in many movies like hot fuzz, planet terror, mask of Zorro, enemy of the state, and exit to Eden. But my favorite with him is no escape with Ray liota and lance henricson. Awesome movie. Favorite of mine with Ray Liota. Love your show. Keep them coming. K
Don't forget Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3...on second thought, forget Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3.
Wilson, not Townsend.
Thank you
It's really sad and heartwarming at the same time if you go back and watch the first again. Darryl is one of the three kids at his house with Nick when he introduces Riggs to his family. Also the first time you meet Murtaugh and his family is when he's in the bath on his 50th Birthday. And this one ends with his family doing the same thing for his retirement.
The crazy thing about this franchise is the whole franchise was constantly good now on to lethal weapon 4.
It like what Danny Glover said I'm to old for this
Lethal Weapon 4 please
I love every Lethal Weapon equally. Even 5 and 6. The recasting choices were questionable but Danny Devito was magic
Riggs discovering that Murtaugh was his long lost son was a cinematic masterpiece.
@@ZXSPEX 😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
31:26 I love the sound it makes before it go boom
Watch lethal weapon 4!! I love this series and 4 ties it all together..
Something I really dig about the Lethal Weapon series is that you can watch them in any order and have a good experience. The stories are all self contained and make reference to past events, so you aren't missing anything if you don't start from the beginning.
"On any normal day I'd smack you in the mouth." "It's a normal day." My favorite quotes in the movie. 😆😆😆
Man this was wild please finish of the movie series part 4 is the best and last I might reac to this I did several movies on my community wall lol😅
The chemistry of the cast, and natural progression of the characters makes this a great franchise.
A lot of people seem to hate the humorous direction the lethal weapon movies took, myself I loved it
The action franchises of these era are incredible.
You should check out 'Maverick' starring Mel Gibson...
In my opinion it's on of his best
If I was taking a shot (of alcohol) every time you say "XYZ movie N°2 or N°3 is great, which rarely occurs with sequels", then I would have become an alcoholic ! Because I lost cost of the number of times you said so !! And you know why ??... Because this speech is a f*cking urban legend that's always been super trendy to say high and loud, but it's absolutely false ! There are countless sequels that are more or less as good or even better than the original... But because people of the world traditionally find more fun in hating, therefore about the topic of movies they mainly remember the few times when the sequels are objectively and by a clear margin badder than the original... And believe me, you haven't seen that many movies yet (it's not a critic, it's just that you're still young) ; and my point is that I'm not that young and have seen tons of movies, and believe me you'll find lots and lots of sequels that are as good or better than the original !!!...
This is a Badass Movie.
This is my favorite one out of the series, & that says a lot. I really like the addition of Lorna, I think she compliments Riggs really well and it's nice to see another kickass female character; one who matches him so well. And she plays well with Danny Glover too. You'll see that even more in the next one if you watch it.
These are the kinds of movies I refuse to rate lol, I love them all. I'm excited for you guys to see 4 because the finale is so incredibly well done and so satisfying.
The dynamic comedy trio Rodger murtaugh, Martin Riggs, and Leo Getz.
Four is my favorite of all the sequels.
It really grinds my gears that this franchise is consistently compared to the Die Hard series. It compares in action, but blows it out of the water with story, characters and heart. ❤
Sweet~! I'm soooo glad you guy managed to get to this one. The fact that this series can still introduce new characters whilst giving the previous ones great screen time is a balancing act some series are rarely able to pull off, yet Lethal Weapon pulls it off almost effortlessly. For both the good guys and the bad guys. And like ya'll said LW3 more than lives up to its predecessors, balancing action, comedy, and emotional punches in equal measure. Number 4 does an equally fantastic job, and looking forward to when you guys are able to watch it. Until then, ya'll take care, have a good one, and have a safe and Happy New Year~!
P.S.
Also, when you guys can, I still do HIGHLY recommend "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003)", "Broken Arrow (1996)", "Assassins (1995)", and "Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins (1985)" for ya'll to react to. Believe me, you won't be disappointed. 😉👍
So excited for this yesss! Thank you both!
This to me this the best movie out of the entire Lethal Weapon series. The storyline is definitely my favorite. When Danny Glover's character was going to allow another kid to get killed.
the simultaneous "OH MY GOD>>>>>>" reaction was amazing. same notes even
Now you need to watch 4 with Chris Rock! And don’t forget about Lethal Weapon 5 and 6 (five is my fav of the whole franchise).
Out of all the Lethal weapon movies, and they all hit on hot topic issues, this was the one that really hit close to home. The thing with the gang violence, and that he killed a kid, that was a bit too close to home for me growing up in LA.
The building that explodes in the beginning was a real explosion of the building getting destroyed.
15:35 You've besmirched my maple leafs and I demand reparations
The actor who plays the main badguy in this played the main badguy in TMNT3 just a bit after this film.
The Murthough family is one of the best things in the whole series. Mine wasn't horrible horrible, back when I was a kid, but I WAS kinda envious of them...
Definitely Lethal Weapon 4 next.
Stuart Wilson, who plays the bad cop Jack Travis also plays another villain in The Mask of Zorro. Also recommended.
Billy, the thief who Jack killed while in custody plays Lucifer in the Supernatural tv show.
That's right, this is one of the best sagas where all the movies are good and it's the same with the Die Hard saga, so react to the rest of its sequels that are as good as Lethal Weapon.
1-4.....memories. 😊😊
The 4th is ad-libbed almost all the way through, but it’s surprisingly entertaining - with someone you guys know... 🕵🏻♂️
Classic movie love the video octokrool stay motivated Dream big 1 mill on the way
My Favorite of the Lethal Weapons.
Finish it off with #4
pretty rare that all episode are good you're right, leathal weapon is maybe the only one that have all 4 movies good. i think i like the fourth the most, such a good wrap up of the whole thing i cry everytime...
Fun Factor actor who played Jack Travis also played a part of Walker in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3
no one give Af about your useless fun facts
Sgt. Murtaugh, the man who’s about to retire in a couple weeks for 20 years 🤣
Since you guys love to laugh, I suggest watching The Wrong Missy. When I watched it, I had zero expectations for it, but it was shockingly funny! I did not expect it to be that funny!
Can't wait for you guys to see the 4th one you'll be "blown away"
lethal weapon 4 now! and indy 4!
I had all 4 movies on VHS. Oh childhood.
I officially love you guys. You’re great 😊
All of the Leathal Weapons are awesome
Funny thing is jay walking isn't even a crime it's just the name of someone
Boys! Perfect timing! I needed this movie now!
Great choice you guys for today's video Lethal Weapon 3 AWESOME 👍👍
The best Action/Comedy franchise in Cinematic History, and this might be my favourite instalment (due, in no small part, to the inclusion of the lovely and bad-ass Rene Russo).
Can’t wait for the 4th one!! My favorite!
And they pull it off again in lethal weapon 4 its excellent with a great cast
9:45 - it's not about keeping people down. It's about people that you deal with doing stupid things on the side and you get pulled into the mess. It's a safety issue.
100% i was thinking the same thing. Jack runs a crew and he doesnt need some idiot on his team bringing the cops down on him. We saw this in Goodfellas. Deniro's crew pulls a $750,000 heist at the airport and need to lay low....BUT....morons on his team start buying new cadillacs and fur coats.....they'll bring the heat back to the head man.
To me, it's a smart way the movie shows (not tells) that Jack is smart, ruthless, and psychopathic with one line of dialogue followed by "you'll miss the best part: we can write our names in the concrete (ruthless)." (psychopath) He's also sending a message to his new business partner: I'm a dangerous serious guy and if you screw me over, i'll be writing my name over YOUR body, too.
There is a post credit scene at the end of the credits.
A movie I hope you all do is “Saving Silverman”. It stars Jason Biggs (Jim from the American Pie series), as well as Jack Black. It is another incredibly dumb movie, but it is a movie I love.
Many Nachos stuck together counts as one nacho
I like the intro song of this movie
This was the movie version of 'It's Probably Me' feat. Eric Clapton
The original version was on Sting's album, Ten Summoners' Tales (1994).
Both are on the special edition of the album itself.
go back and watch the post credits sequence.
Love the third Leathal Weapon the best.
Great Segment of the one of the Best 1990s Film. How about doing segments of these 1980s Film Gems where a lot of Petreons did not recommended; "Running Scared" 1986, "Shoot to Kill" 1988, "Midnight Run" 1988, "Empire of The Sun" 1987, "Silverado" 1985, "The Killer" 1989, "No Way Out" 1989, "Someone to Watch Over Me" 1987, " "When Harry Met Sally" 1989? Enjoy.
