    Can you do a video on eating out at restaurants? Also I would love to see a skinny on meat alternatives (like tofu,etc)

      Becca Bristow you could do part of the video looking at the menu online before hand... then maybe do a few short clips at the restaurant and do a voice over for it :) (I'm assuming you mean you don't want to disturb other people at the restaurant or cause a scene 😂) Also, you could go when the restaurant has its down time.. like not peak busy hours!

      Hell yeah!!! Haha I'm not a big drinker in general but definitely like some wine and/or cocktails on the weekends, but I was on vacay so of course I was going to imbibe! ;) We also had some amazing moscow mules in downtown Naples they were SO good!! Wish I could go back!

    What's your thought on intermittent fasting?

      This is definitely a very trendy topic these days...overall you know I am all about balance and avoiding extremes, and intermittent fastening falls under the extremes in my opinion. From a research standpoint...it's pretty limited (and a lot of the research is only in animals, not humans) but what is out there seems to be pretty mixed on whether or not it's actually beneficial in the short-term or long-term. At the end of the day, it's a diet. Something you'll likely do for a short-term period and then eventually go back to what you were doing before, so I say skip all that nonsense and put all your focus into having a balanced diet everyday, for the rest of your life :)

    Oh my goodness! How you dressed your oatmeal is something new that I haven't seen some do before! I think I'm going to try putting peanut butter in my oatmeal to sweeten it up and get your protein!
    I would love to see more grocery hauls on your channel so I can get some healthy alternatives for groceries!

    Have you ever talked about whether or not you think calorie counting on a daily basis is a good or bad idea? I'd be interested in hearing about that. Sometimes I feel like I have no clue if I'm eating appropriate amounts or not (especially if I compare to other youtubers (not including you) - some of them eat SO little and I feel like I'm overeating!). BUT whenever I do calorie count, I end up in a vicious cycle of "if I just had a little less, I'd lose more weight". How do you figure that stuff out?! Even a little touch on portion sizes would be great.

      RikkeTakera1 i know sometimes you get confused but personally I don't like counting calories otherwise it might become an obsession. Also, i feel that I eat way too much in comparison to the majority of youtubers who eat very small portions, but I listen to my body I eat when I'm hungry and I try my best to not overeat!

      She's done a really great video on intuitive eating recently. If you already have a basis of knowledge of the macros in most foods (i.e. bread and potatoes are carbs, chicken is protein, butter is fat) I'd go with intuitive eating! Basically means just eating when you're hungry, until you're full, but making sure that the foods are balanced. :)

      Hey girl! I totally feel you!! Overall I prefer the intuitive eating approach vs. calorie counting (you can watch my video on it here th-cam.com/video/UpGxZUKGPB4/w-d-xo.html) because I agree calorie counting can get obsessive, and that's no way to live! I think it CAN be helpful to maybe just input a 'typical day' for you to see what that looks like, just to give you a better idea whether or not your are on the right track. But other than that, I think just aiming for balance & listening to your body (because everyday is a little different!) is the way to go! Hope this helps xx

    You can also use a water boiler for your quick oats for those who don't want to microwave and don't want to wait for it on the stove. I had my water boiler for 2 years before figuring out that trick lol! Wont work for steel cut though...

      Yes, once the water is finished boiling mine will "turn off" (if that makes sense?) you just have your oats already in the bowl. I typically add the boiled water just until it is at the top of the oats. I stir it and then add a dash of my milk or cream and cinnamon/honey or fruit. I was surprised that the water was hot enough for them to cook. But it makes sense since the water is heated to a boil. Haha. When my friend did this in front of me for the first time I just kinda did a face palm and questioned my life. Totally exaggerating!!! But I kinda laughed at myself for not thinking of it.

      I have thought about that but I hate the idea of being dependent on it :( Who knows if that would actually happen haha but it freaks me out a little! So far cutting out any kinda of caffeine in the afternoon/night has made a pretty big difference!!

    !!! Liked this one, good insight / ideas to keep in idea. I wish hotel breakfast had unsweetened oats, the past few have been brown sugar (too much added sugar I feel). Cute sunnies! Where are they from (sorry to be that person, lol).

      Stacie has a great point! Trying to focus on adding something in (water would be the most ideal) instead of cutting something out can really help you to feel less deprived, and you may not miss it as much! Maybe set a water goal (about 1/2 your weight in ounces is usually a good target) and try not to have any soda until you have met the goal for that day, and then go form there. Just an idea! Also think about why you like the soda..is it the caffeine? bubbles? sweetness? Once you pinpoint why you love it it may help you to find some alternatives!

    Awe a trip with your mom...I wish my mom was alive. She died of cancer when I was only 23. I'm now 43 and have kids. I miss her and wish I got to go on trips together just her and I 😭😩

    the waves that microwave emits are different to this that cell phones emit but food from microwave is safe to eat just don't stand in front of microwave while it is working ;)

      She majored in dietetics :) and has a few videos on topic. I'm currently finished my bachelors in dietetics and am completing my internship and master's degree in dietetics (something you need to become a dietitian nutritionist). Let me know if you have any questions.

    I like these videos to see what real nutritionists eat in a day! But is there a reason why you dont eat some flax or chia in your oatmeal or something during the day? It seems to me most nutritionists are into flax/chia nowadays.

      Flax & chia seeds are a great way to add extra fiber, omega 3s, and some protein, so they are definitely great additives! I use them sometimes, but probably not everyday (although I def could). Also I was on vacation in this video and didn't have that kind of stuff with me!

      Yeah! If using a microwave makes it more convenient and practical to eat healthy than its better than not eating at all! The benefits of eating well far outweigh any issues with a microwave

      Hahaha oh god...I think Nick is a negative nancy for sure! If he keeps being scared it's not gonna work out it's SO not gonna work out for him. But then again I understand that he doesn't want to go through this all again and be humiliated. I also think Corinne is only there strictly for ratings because Nick is SUPER boring (I mean..has there ever been a contestant that made it to hometowns without actually having a one-on-one date?? I mean come on!! I could not imagine meeting someone's parents as their potential future fiance without spending more than like 3 hours alone together. It's nuts!!) I think Vanessa is going to win but honestly I think she's too good for him!

    Wow you eat so much!! It all looks delicious too. I eat way less than you and weigh 211 freaking lbs :( Ugh. I don't know whyyyyy, why do I weigh so much?? :( I work out so hard. I have a personal trainer. I'm like 48% muscle last time it was measured. My 20 month old weighs as much as the average 3 year old (he's perfectly slim though) sooooo I dunno what that's about. I've never ever been less than 180 lbs, since I was about 12, and have been trying to get that down for 15 years.
    Does weight really matter? I'd love to hear your thoughts on that.

      Thanks for watching! Every body is so different..and each one has it's own weight where it's at it's "healthiest." At least according to the set-point theory, which is what I believe in when it comes to weight! (You should def look into it!) Also, 48% muscle is pretty high for a female, but that's not a bad thing at all! Lean mass is great :) But just remember that it weighs more than fat does, so you want to take that into consideration too. And honestly...focus more on how you feel instead of what the scale reflects! Hope this helps xx

    Not criticizing but being from New Orleans I have to tell you how to correctly pronounce praline... it's not a "pray" sound it's a sound like when you say "bra" so praline lol I hope you liked it!

    "no added sugar" ***blatantly says 19 g of sugar in the nutrition facts.***

      Its fruit. Of course there would be sugar in it. She means there is no sugar in the ingredients list... hence ADDED sugar.

      Yes the sugar listed on the label is from the fruit, so it's technically not 'added' sugar, so that's where the claim comes from. The only way to know if there is added sugar is on the ingredient list. In a couple years the food labels will be changing, and food companies will have to breakdown how many of the grams of sugar are actually from added sugar, so it will make it a lot easier!
