I had Psyche Out when I was a kid, but I remember not really knowing what to do with him. I either used him as a communication officer or he he was put in my Havoc because I didn't know what to do with him and he could help drive the Havoc.
Psyche Out87 did have animated apperances in commercials, they were non-speaking roles. Coastal Defender- He is fighting side by side with Tunnel Rat Defiant Space Shuttle- He's seen running behind Jinx as they were running towards their battle stations. Crystal Ball also makes an appearance.
I would sometimes use Psych Out as anti-mind control since Crystal Ball and Mindbender liked to mind control Joes or ordinary citizens sometimes. His radio waves would counter any subliminal programming in nearby subjects. Of course BATS were immune to Psychout’s paranoia attack so he’d get trapped by a lone BAT figure in every fight and have to be rescued.
I never had Pshyche-Out as a kid, but bought one as an adult. He never appealed to me back then, but today he doesn't seem so bad. Maybe it's the antenna on the back of his head, bright color scheme and strange-looking backpack.
My third one! My Grandma got it for me, and every time I see that figure I remember how excited she was of getting me a Joe finally :) Very nostalgic figure for me.
in Poland Tiger Force Psyche Out was pretty popular... and due to te fact that comics we got were from much before... I knew psyche-out as a black haired dude only for him to appear in the comics as blond.
The best thing about Psyche Out was that you could take the red "radar dishes" off of his arm clips, connect the clips with a length of "Black hose" and have high-tech handcuffs for capturing enemy agents.
Maybe his alternate could be Zartan, Zartan uses high tech holograms an is deceptive with his physical disguises , another great video HCC!! You rule :)
As someone who has actually spent time in the military, here are a few insights. Psyche- Out seems to be confusing psyops with electronic warfare specialist and a little bit of 73B, clinical psychologist. Psyops folks spend a great deal of time planning missions for other units and advising from a board room. Electronic warfare specialists usually have the funky gear and can be either in the field or based somewhere safe eavesdropping on enemy communications.
Man, I have been away for awhile also do to “stuff” and was happy that this popped in my feed today…and your vids and reviews are as great as ever!!! Great job HCC!
Phyche-out has played a very prominent role in the more recent issues of A Real American Hero by IDW. Hopefully that prominent role will continue when the series countinues under the new publisher.
In one of WEB Griffens novels the psychological experts flooded the Philippines with matchbooks that read I shall return-MacArthur. That’s how I see this guy used. But I’m not sure that’s fun for a toy
My Grams on sister's dad side bought me this I thought he was soo lame but in retrospect it was cool she didn't have to do it see was harsh in the kindest ..My sisters father must have had a rough one . Good Ole Gma G she had a double barrel shotgun and perfect real estate
There should be a 'half the battle' joke in there some place. I mean that line in the file card about the bad guys know the fight is over & they lost? Just seems to be asking for something.
Definitely one I never picked up. He actually gets a fair amount of attention in the ongoing Hama comic that continues the Marvel series. Nothing particularly deep, but he shows up a lot, and generally in the counselor role.
Paranoia is just reality on a finer scale... I tell ya, I'm so paranoid that when I see a car ahead of me in traffic, I figure they're following me, but from the long way around. I'm so paranoid, I thought my cell phone company was double charging me, but only half the time. I'm so paranoid, I thought Victoria's Secret was just a rumor... As we say in Quebexico, "C'est'tai plus fort que moi." S
Too many elbow cracks, brother. You gotta take care of that. I, myself hate elbow cracks. I try not to even buy figures with elbow cracks. If i end up getting one, i always replace them.
Such a strange figure. I can say I did not have Psyche-out and he would not have been high on my list. Too strange. He looks like something out of an old Sci-Fi serial or something. Neat idea but strange product.
The bottom half of this figure is great, the top half completely ruins it. It's too bad because this type of character is perfect for a military toy line and fills a niche spot in the GI Joe line.
So, if social media was an action figure.
Psyche out invented social media, that's how you know he's an undercover cobra agent.

Oh man, that Wayne's World "sponsor" interlude was "ZANG!" (*thumbs up*).

Aquaman is going to be pissed when he realizes somebody stole his shirt

This was my VERY FIRST Joe. Thanks for reviewing it, Hoodie. Keep being awesome.
My third one! My Grandma got it for me, and every time I see that figure I remember how excited she was of getting me a Joe finally :) Very nostalgic figure for me.
And that's why he still packs a side arm. Love it!
Lol... That ending! I kind of expected his head to blow up, but your finisher works just as good if not better. 😊

"you've been psyched out and no one cares..." Baseketball

I think that's two weeks in a row you had me laughing out loud. Well done.
Mate you did it again what a really great review. First class!!
Wouldn't Crystal Ball have been a better comparison than Dr. Mindbender?

I can see him in-universe having changed his hair color and messing with everyone by gas-lighting that he was never a blond
What a weird figure. Something from outer space. Another good review Commander. Love the Papa Smurf hat MaryAnn.

A literal Mindbender. Cartoon Lowlight would've benefited from PSYCHE Out's help.
G.I. Joe surely foreshadowed many things in our world today.
"Electronics of some sort" i LOVE that! 😆😅
It would be cool to see Psyche-out doing psychological analysis and profiling of the Joes and Cobras.
Hoody referring to Psych-Out’s bra has me 😂
That was a cool video on how you did psych out

Nice as always. Thanks.
I'm with you, he ALWAYS was a bottom figure for me, straight weird!
I don't recall him saying it was a bottom figure.
@@christianhafer9819 he likes the camouflage military figures, I was shocked they didn't have this weirdo in the movie, but we still love G.I. Joe!👍
@@nickfrancis I know he does. But, if all the figures were camouflage, it'd be a pretty boring line.
My Grams on sister's dad side bought me this I thought he was soo lame but in retrospect it was cool she didn't have to do it see was harsh in the kindest

Good Ole Gma G she had a double barrel shotgun and perfect real estate
Just saw the Wayne's World sponsorship scene reference 😂🤣😝💥💥👍
Your hilarious, Brian! No wonder I follow you! 😅
I had a Psyche Out with a weird arm. The lower arm on one side was the other side arm somehow attached backwards.

Awesome figure
Great video
Love the Wayne’s World skit. Psych-out is an interesting character but not a good figure in my opinion.
Psyche Out is an ancestor of DeAnna Troi.
was not he part of Night Force line too.
Great ending. When all else fails, just shoot the bad guy.
It would've been preferable and more believable if his weapons were based on mind altering gasses like Scarecrow in Batman Begins.
You just want Wayne's world on your on your TH-cam channel. Hilarious
😎👍
Too many elbow cracks, brother. You gotta take care of that. I, myself hate elbow cracks. I try not to even buy figures with elbow cracks. If i end up getting one, i always replace them.
I should have understood Psyche-Out more to fully utilize him. My play got really repetitive and uninspired in those later years.
He seems more like a Corba member then a Joe
Maybe he's a double agent
Dusty, noooo!

Comedy gold!
They call it paranoia, and yet… what is ONE Noia called?
There was a tiger force psyche out

Wayne’s World reference. 😅
Wasn't he killed in the comic?
I always thought the hair sculpting made this figure bottom tier
I always disliked this figure. Needless to say, he was one of the figures I'd give my cousin to play with when he came over to play Joe's with me.
Hos chest looks like an African Mask 😂
The sports bra cannot be unseen.
Was just saying today that I’m not a fan of this guy!
