You forgot to mention turning the original screws to the left till they click so they go in the same threads so you don't have any problems in the future eh 😮
Nice i just bought a Vintera 60s modified and all i did was buy an ashtray cover [not sure if i'll leave it on to play but looks cool on the stand ]and an F neckplate to replace the sterile one they come with The.only thing left i dont like is the lack of a bone nut but changing that is way beyond me and can't see it's worth paying a luthier .it can't make any difference to the sound can it ?

Absolutely. You don't want any tension on the screws when you take them out. It's easier to retune a bass than fix a neck pocket or neck.
